I last flew to Harare via Qatar Airways in 2008, so your video brought many memories flooding back. Of all the places in the world where I have visited, Zimbabwe, despite its horrific politics, remains my favourite destination. As you were coming into to land both in Lusaka and then in Harare, my tears started to flow for my beloved Africa. THANK YOU for sharing!!!
Gabriel, fantastic job! Love this choice of destinations. Look forward to as much of Africa as you can cover. Great to see more of the Southern Hemisphere. One request though. I know the time, bandwidth, etc. is a factor but please do not speed up your departures and arrivals. For me, part of the fun is taken away as some of us love seeing as much of the place you are landing at, or departing from. I know it's an aviation-based product but a few seconds of outdoor video in exchange for a few seconds of cloud coverings or whatever else would be great. Thanks for considering and as always, thanks for what you do!
Prior to the pandemic, KLM flew a one-stop AMS-LAD-WDH and return. Flying to Namibia in 2018, we had a similar stop to Gabriel's, sitting on board while Angolan contractors passed through the plane to clean and service it. (If you don't leave the plane or clear immigration, does that count as visiting a country?) Flying less than daily, KLM's crew flew overnight AMS-LAD and then stopped for 1 or 2 nights in Luanda. Then they did a day trip to Windhoek and returned to Luanda for another couple of nights. The plane stayed on the ground in Windhoek between a morning arrival and an evening departure, allowing for the cabin crew to enjoy a short day trip to a wildlife park or resort.

So great coming along with you on these adventures and great fun to see that GA taking off just before you on the second sector with a 787 on his tail 😂
The article states “the journey continues”. The journey never seems to end for the “energizer bunny” by the name of Gabriel Leigh, who works for FlightRadar24. It is always a pleasure to travel the world for something as important as one of the original Boeing 737-200 aircraft, worth its weight in gold for a deserving museum! Worth the trip and thanks for taking us! Thanks - Jim
honestly the last time i flew a 732 was in 2006 and it was memorable but not extraordinary. it is much better spending money and time on fine rare wine than a fine rare jet on an african airliner. trust me.
Gabriel a interesting video but I don't understand your comments ,on the," inefficiency "at Lusaka .I am surprised that someone who works with aviation not aware of all the international SOP that airlines must follow .Qatar and Lusaka followed all the protocol , check passengers ticket many passengers unaware have got of the destination as the ticket does not say its a hopping flight .Cabin luggage check a must in case a bag been left behind by a deplaning passenger or a security risky with a bomb .These are all common procedures while flying with hops - I have flown many times on Emirates from Dubai to Singapore with a hop via Colombo .Changi they make you deplane and go through security again at the airport with all your carry on .Choice is yours I like the latter and stay in the aircraft .
The comment was mainly aimed at the process of checking bags by asking "is this bag yours". Seems very inefficient and not comprehensive even if this is standard procedure. I wondered aloud if there isn't a better way to do that check.
@@Flightradar24DotCom what is a better efficient way to ask the passenger identify your luggage its a common process .Then kicking you out of the aircraft with all your hand luggage and re-entry after security check at the airport is the only alternative
ARGH Gabriel, I'm being swallowed by the "Purple People Eater Blanket, HELP ME !!!" Usually people look at the world through Rose colored glasses, On Qatar you get to see the world through Rose colored windows. Southwest also has the Rose colored windows too, out of HNL recently. The New ZipAir out of Japan, flies a bare bones 787-8 no frills and and an empty business class seat, with no screen, no frills and a prepaid box meal. (they call it the Full Flat Seat Option), from I guess the regular coach style seats. ( I would call it the No-Name brand of flying!!)
Okay, I enjoy your videos, however, I find it very disappointing that you speed up the roll to V1 and the rotation, let alone the climb. Same for the approach and landing. You do a great job with everything 😊 except for the actual aviation. 😏
Oh, and btw, did I mention how tired I was and how I missed a whole chunk of the flight. I was really, really tired. If you watch the whole video you'll see how tired i was......
