TDS GANG🔥 So J-hope explained in an interview with variety, where he explains the song is about how he ignited a passion to pursue music, dance, this career that he has despite everything that was thrown at him, he kept going and going, burning brighter and accidentally "setting fire to the world" in the process, aka gaining worldwide success. So now he's at a crossroads where he needs to decide if the place he is at is enough cuz less is more, or if he wants to burn brighter. And there's that whole fear of the higher you fly, the longer the fall so
Jhope did drop an album it’s called “jack in the box”
Yes he dropped a album they are currently on break to explore themselves and create solo projects such as albums but they will come back as a group again but for now they will be releasing solo albums
Arson is kinda about how jhope (and BTS) created a huge "fire" in the industry due to their success. Even though it was unintended, the fire they created became so big it could be considered arson😅😅 hope this brings some clarity.

One thing is always for sure, there is no language that does bts' lyrics justice when it comes to translation, it's like, damn, these guys use too many references in their lyrics, the English MV subtitles are a joke when you get deeper into the Korean wordplay of their songs, Hoseok did the exact same thing with his new album 'Jack in the box' there's too much to analyze and I actually respect that about them, they are very meticulous with their work and geniuses in composing, that's why there are explainer videos about BTS lyrics, that's insane and so cool.
NO he is not burning it all up. He is saying in the beginning how he lit the flame (his passion) but went into overdrive doing what he love and the whole world was set on fire (by the fame passion of him and BTS) he didn't know that was going to happen by him following his passion now he has everything the world on fire he feels it going in overdrive for so long and now does he put the flame out or burn even brighter? also how he wakes up in pain from it all too.
But he wants more, his life as he says in 'MORE' is his work, his art make him breathe but less is also more he feels/know it's about the art not the fame but he wants that and the prizes etc too of course.
It's questioning and talking about many sides of his art and success and life etc. People aren't one dimensional. we are multifaceted and introspective and questioning (hopefully).
The whole album that he just released 'Jack In The Box' is amazing and should be listened to in order from the intro to the last song and read the lyrics as you listen. It tells his story, j-hope's story from his name, his role, his thoughts and fears and life view etc. very introspective even talking to himself.
Arson and MORE are the to tracks with music videos that's why people have recommended them first. The whole album is fantastic.
Edit: oh you seem to kind of get it after you watched it.
arson... a song that utilizes both the negative and positive metaphors of fire and burning. you picked up most of the messaging... MORE is more on for himself and talentry (he wants to do more cos his work makes him breathe). arson is leaning more on success mainly but it's also about the uncertainty if he wants to keep moving too fiercely for this "thoughtless ambition" or be fine with not being at the top of fame (anyway no matter what, he'll keep working on what he loves).
guys, the name of the album is jack in the box and it's amazing... the track list is best listened to chronologically cos it's a full story. great messaging.

Listen to his album as it will make more sense. He wanted everyone to listen from 1 to 10. His album is a masterpiece since he is telling his story and exploring his darkness which everyone has. Everyone have different sides and complex.

"More" is kind of along the lines of him wanting to do more with his artistry and feeling like what he has done is not enough. He wants to do more with his art, wants to evolve. "Arson" is a reflection of how far he's come with BTS (and himself, individully). He's gotten to the top, can he (does he even want to?) continue to burn bright and continue? Or would he rather call it here, cause he's made his mark (the guys have left a fire in their wake that the industry will feel for a long time)? The anxiety riddled question of should he reach for more and strive to burn brighter, or be like... "I've made history, I can let it go now"? That's what I'm getting, at least.

yes arson is the title song of his solo album JACK IN THE BOX a full length album hobi Saud he wants to show a different side of him as he's always been a full of energy happy pill person our sunshine so he wanted to let Jack himself out of the box and show a more artistic side of him more serious and dark and different from his mixtape hope world

This is technically his second album. He released an album in 2018 called Hope World, which has a whole lotta bops btw, and that generally had a more brighter theme. For this album however, he wanted to show a more deep and dark side of himself. So, 'MORE' and 'Arson' are both from his newly released album called Jack In The Box.
