Welcome back to my channel and to the last video of the year. I just want to say the biggest thank you to you all for all of your love and support this year. It has been the most incredible year of my life and it wouldn't have been possible without you all.

You need to take out light bulb and unscrew lamp shade holder. Then put on shade and screw back on then replace the bulb ! As it’s not safe like you have it ❤
Exactly what I came here to say.
You haven't fitted the light shades properly, actually how you've fitted them is a hazard! You need to unscrew part of the fitting that the light bulb goes into. Unscrew that part, then place the lightshade onto the fitting then screw the part back then insert the light bulb. I'm sure there will be a video on utube showing you the correct way. But you definitely need to rehang those light shades ASAP.
Hope Luke sees this or realises quickly especially as they are glass

I like the cables white on your ceiling lights. Painting them black just draws attention to the cable when focus is on the beautiful shades. Just my opinion. Happy Christmas to you and Zara x
We fell in love with our friends sofas but, they were very expensive! Husband found a business that sell ex display ones, the exact same set! We saved three thousand pounds, so much more affordable to us! Our friends were amazed and said they wished they had thought to do the same as they are like new. 👍👍👍

So beautiful! Love the shades but as mentioned, take the shades down, unscrew the bottom plastic bit under the black rim, put the shade on, screw the white bit back on from the underside of the shade then put the lightbulb back in! Total quick fix. Adore your home and love the new sofa. Merry Christmas to you all xxx

My husband retired after teaching for 30+ years. Many people told him that he deserved his retirement, but he always says "NO" I only did my job and even that work was a gift. I so appreciate your gratitude for all you've been given. Not to diminish your hard work because we all know how you and Zara worked so hard for your home but that doesn't mean it's not all a gift too. So happy for you and hope you and Zara have a wonderful Christmas.

You haven’t put the light shades up right you need to take the 💡 out & unscrew the bottom white bit & put the light shade on & screw the white bit back on it’s so you can change the 💡 without the glass shade falling it makes it safer. Merry Christmas to you both xx

Loved this. It's currently 8.45 am Christmas morning and I'm waiting for my son to wake up so Christmas day can begin ( and yes father christmas has been, I've checked 😄). Your new sofa looks so smart in your livingroom! I'm also the 'present giver outer' lol! However, in the past 5 or more years, I got smart and now I make a pile of each person's gifts in front of where they are sitting. We open our presents one at a time and go in a circle around the room. That way, everyone can admire everyone else's gifts. And there's time to tell the story behind each gift - why it was chosen, where it was purchased etc. As there are 9 of us opening pressies - it takes a good hour or better and stretches out the fun!

I painted my light fitting with frenchic blackjack and it worked really well!
Yeah Luke the lampshade is lovely but its not on right hopefully you would have sorted it by now 😅

Just one thing:
Turn the castors on the front of the sofa round so the wheel-y bits face forward.
Then the sofa won’t look like it’s going to tip forward any minute!

you could definitely spray those, just get one of those cans with the primer/paint in the can and block the socket insides with tape or plastic, you should be golden ❤ ok i just heard you want to do it installed so spray the spray paint inside a cup so you can use it with a brush. I am excited to see what you come up with 😊

Really nice lamp shades ! "Bougies" is the french word for candles and, yes, Christian Lacroix is a big name of french Haute-Couture and fashion, like Chanel or Dior.
We bought our last two settees from charity shops they are clean and comfortable . Would never buy brand new . The covers come off and can be washed . They are both cream . ❤

Ho luke, take the light bulb out and unscrew the white part before the middle black middle section put the shade on and then the white part you screwed back on that is what holds the shade,

Thats what constable did.... added a pop of red to his paintings. It works! Houses are like gardens, they need to evolve or can look staged. We have a new neighbour that has completly gutted a beautiful cottage and its garden. The new people have no idea what beauties are or were waiting for spring to pop out. People are so impatient for perfection, it can take a while to achieve.

My father taught me that it’s cheaper to go first class, meaning if you spend a little more money now on your purchases, then you aren’t constantly replacing things. So by buying a quality piece of furniture like your sofa, in the end you will safe money because it will last you for years.
