Hey guys!
I hope you are all doing well. Welcome back to my channel and to my first vlog of 2024. I am so excited to get stuck into this year which is such a strange feeling as I usually get VERY anxious about a new year.
I am so excited to announce I am running the London Marathon in April!

I was 50 years old when I ran my first marathon. I joined a running group which provided support and encouragement. Best thing I ever did. You can absolutely do this!

Hi Luke, well done you going to run the London marathon and for a good cause, glad you both had a good Christmas and New Year, hubby and l spent time with family but unfortunately we have both come down with flu, so hiding ourselves away while it passes, yuk. Lights will look great when they are up, place always feel a bit bare after the decorations come down, nice to see you all back x

This was just what I needed this morning, welcome back! We just had our last holiday event for the season yesterday and I'm glad it's over with now, time to move forward. I need to finish taking down some of the decorations as well as the tree, get it all put away once and for all. Best of luck to you on the marathon, you've got this!

I had a good and bad Christmas and new year. My husband has been in and out of hospital before and after Christmas with gallbladder problems awaiting removal for over a year!! Now hes back in and theyve found something worrying, might be cancer wont know til Monday or Tuesday so im really shocked upset and worried. Weve been married for 53 years, my husband 74. I love seeing your videos you take my mind off my problems. Bless you, zara and Maggie moo xxxxxooooo

Happy new year. I’ve donated to your charity good luck. Know what you mean about space after taking the tree down we have kept our furniture in the same place looks much better and there’s room for the tree this Xmas without moving anything 😂 I always do my chilli in the slow cooker. You need to make cornbread it goes well with chilli.

Luke, I've just watched your vlog from a year ago, being honest with myself, I am 60yrs old with 2 sons 30yr and 33yr old, they like you are sensitive lads , they are thoughtful and kind, they were bullied and had no confidence, I wanted you to know your not alone, they suffer from mental health but age has helped, I watched my eldest get married and his brother was his best man, I cried all day with the men they have become, so proud. Your mum must be so proud of you, love your vlogs ❤❤❤

Happy new year to you both. We’re also loving Fool me once. Interesting fact … it’s filmed at Arley hall in Cheshire and in 2018 our daughter was married there so it’s a double pleasure for us. (Pesky Blinders also filmed there).

This new year has started well for me, had my first Chemo treatment on Friday! It has been a long time coming as I had my lung operation some months ago, it has all taken so long to get to here. But here it is and I am just so happy! On the hopefully the last leg to being back to health. 👍👍👍👍

Watched all your moving vlogs like a little movie. 🍿 The moment them blinds up just now! The satisfaction of it all. I battled with the chunky white ones blinds and learnt how to drill walls all on same day by myself!

So kind of you to run in the marathon for PSP. I have never heard of this illness until you mentioned it. I hope they find a cure for it. I love the flowers that you bought at the grocery store. We call the small white ones, babies breath, here in America and they are one of my very favorite filler flowers. The lights are going to look wonderful once you get them hung. Have missed you guys a lot but, everyone needs some time off. My husband retired the last day of December and it’s been wonderful but, he is having a hard time just trying to relax now and then. It’s a great change but, we just have to get used to having time off and finally more time together. Hope you had a great Christmas and a wonderful new year day. I have to admit i always struggle with Christmas, never has been the same since losing my Mum, but i plod on. Wonderful news about you running the marathon, i know can do this Luke, i wish you all the best 🙂. Happy New Year Luke , Zara and Maggie! Luke, have you heard of an iron fish? It is a product (various shapes, styles) that you throw into your pot while cooking. It is basically a piece of iron and your food absorbs extra iron while cooking. My daughter and I have had bouts of anemia and use it when feeling run down. Amazon carries it. best of luck with your training!

Fantastic news about the marathon. It’s a great event and has a fantastic atmosphere. I did my first marathon at 54 and I am not a natural runner but I love it. I will definitely make a donation for such a wonderful cause. My friend last her life to PSP 5 years ago. So little is known about this condition. I will be volunteering at the London Marathon so I will hopefully see you to say good luck.

I've literally sat down to watch this after putting all my Christmas decorations away , tree packed away yesterday and yes you forget how much bigger and fresh the room / home feels once its done . Hi Luke, Nice to see you again. My Christmas was very quiet, one of my twin sons moved out just before Christmas but also he had an op in between moving into his girlfriends house and Christmas, the op went well but I was very worried I am a normal mother. My eldest had gone to his girlfriends at Spennymoor so Christmas day there was just me the other twin and my youngest, New Years Day my son who had the op and his girlfriend came for dinner so there was 5 of us. 😊 xx

Happy New year Luke! Good to see you so happy and excited about things. I remember a while ago, was it last year or the year before, I forget, but you were so down, wanting to move and unable to, you put out such a heartfelt Vlog, and I could feel how you felt because I too have been trying to move since about 2019, and things just kept getting in the way, and it felt like it was never going to happen. You never gave up, and I didn't either, your determination even though you were struggling came shing through, It felt like we were both on the same page somewhat. Then you announced the move was going to happen and I was so pleased for you both, we too hopefully will be on the move this year also, this is the year for our pages to be turned I feel. Seeing you guys in your new home has given me faith that next Christmas we will hopefully be putting up the decorations in our new home and beginning our new chapter too. Glad you took a nice long break, good to recharge and get stronger before returning to the big wide world of work and life, you deserved that. Good luck in the marathon, good luck for 2024 and keep that smile! Thank you for helping to keep me grounded and fucussed on my end goal.
