It's really cool to me how Crow, having played BOTW first + much more than wind waker, approaches things like a BOTW player. Like, yeah, there's the whole "Oh, this guy has a shield, he must be hard" moment, but what really intrigued me was in the forest temple after getting the deku leaf. When he was falling in the super tall room at around 34:00, most players would have used a jump attack or a roll to cancel the fall damage, since that's what you've done in 3d zelda games since time immemorial. Crow instead pulled out his deku leaf, cancelling the fall damage that way like you'd do with the BOTW paraglider. It was just really cool to see, to me!

Really hope one day the Zelda team goes back and do another Zelda game in the Wind Waker art style, because Wind Waker has by far the cleanest, nices art style in the entire Zelda series. Link can actually emote in this game!
i like how The Great deku tree spoke in a language long forgotten to time, because he thought he was talking to the hero of time who wore the same outfit and spoke that NOW ancient langauge. But this link speaks an entirely new language that developed.
I find it interesting how common it is for someone to love one Zelda game to the point where everyone would assume they know everything about Zelda, but then they haven’t played most of the games. I grew up playing A Link to the Past and always loved Zelda games, but most of the games I only played in the last 5 years. Prior to that I’d only played A Link to the Past, Wind Waker, the other adult timeline games, half of Link’s Awakening, A Link Between Worlds, and the very beginnings of a few other random games. Then in 2015 I started trying to play through all the Zelda games. By the time Breath of the Wild came out, I had finished all the 3D games, and as of last year, I have beaten all canon Zelda games.
I love how when he fights the boss with the floating hands, a lot of people say it's straight out of mario odyssey, when wind waker came way first. also mario 64 and ocarina of time had bosses like that too.
I've always loved how technological the tower of the gods dungeon was as a kid, i was beyond excited when i found out botw would be a full game with this theme years ago, this might be one of my favorite dungeons just because of how much world building it does, to just imagine how advanced the sheikah were even in that era is crazy

Oh my god, PointCrow, thank you so much for bringing this to us, I freaking love you for this. Windwaker was my first Legend of Zelda game when I was a child. The GameCube was my best friend when I was a little kid, and the N64.
You may already know by now, but there was a feature in the GC version where you could insta kill the second boss, the plant thing, by just pouring some pure water (from the deku forest i think) on him, right when he falls and opens its weak spot.
My 2 favorite console zeldas are wind waker and majora's mask and now you're playing both of them. By the way, all the optional masks in majora's mask are gained from sidesquests, so you may end up doing an all sidesquests run anyway if you want all the masks. By the way, I'm not going to spoil what you can get, but collecting all the fairies is well worth the tedium. The great fairy mask makes it easier to find the fairies own your own so you don't have to rely on chat to find them. Good Luck and have fun exploring both games

Botw actually has a decent amount of lore.
The more surprising thing is that so many people don't seem to realize how much lore there is unless they get smacked in the face with it left and right....
