I know this is an old video, but how do you know what to do in the planning stage? Is it just through experience with the levels that you know to frag certain areas etc? I've never played it before and when I loaded it up I was so overwhelmed but so intrigued
the planning and custom team and kits is what made the game feel like RPG like you were investing, you could also boost your team with XP points .. make the 80/100 shooter into 100/100 and other attributes.. my characters would never live more than 2 missions lol so i struggled to rank up
Vegas 1 & 2 were good games, but they should have gone right back to the original theme of Rainbow Six. They would have been good "spinoffs" of the original games with arcade gameplay and blockbuster campaign. Then go back to the tactical shooter we remember. RIP Tom Clancy
+Luke Altorfer They were ok in their own right but sadly, as you say Rainbow Six is gone as is the legend that is Tom Clancy. UBI's Rainbow Six Siege should have gone back as they promised but it is lacking in my opinion, I played the Beta but that is as far as I went with it. I am thinking of doing a Blackthorn series.
@@shtuffs , what's your point? It's still the closest thing to the classic R6 games(that I've seen.) Ground Branch is like a proper sequel the first Ghost Recon.
do you know you can commit any plan phase like alpha bravo charlie.. multiple times... as .... alpha go command = alpha and bravo and charlie teams to execute the first alpha command? On alpha command, A B C may breach flash and clear different rooms then wait for your next "bravo command" understand? making lesser commands for easier planning
Old video but yeah why can't games have this much effort today? I just want something like Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield remade or remastered. With PS4 and Xbox One support as well even though PC platform is superior for this game atleast in my opinion. Oh and if they do make it Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield Complete edition remastered so we have Athena Sword and Iron Wrath and add updated servers.
Twinky Studios please don't take this the wrong way, but are you trying to run the gams on a potato? Rainbow Six 3 is very old and not graphically demanding whatsoever by modern standards. You really shouldn't be getting any lag unless you are playing the game on a windows 95 machine or something
Nice intro dude! Very slick if not as explosive lol. But as for Rainbow 6 old skool. I was a kid and simply did not have the patience or knowledge back then to hack them. I vaguely remembering trying out Rainbow Six 2(?) and losing hard lol. Maybe that'd be different these days.
We all lost badly the 1st time we played the old R6 games, it was going back and trying again and improving our plans the team selections that makes the game still so good today. These games are still in a class of their own.
Still the best cqb shooter as I write this (2020). The community is still active and developing insane visual and gameplay mods. If you want in check out allr6.co and the bigger discord discord.gg/csXg4C5 here you can play mp with voice comms. Loads of people still play mp co-op, mp adversarial, or simply Sp modded until you don't recognise it. Community is friendly and mature as all hell so don't feel intimidated lol. Join us and ggs.
It wasný just Rainbow Six, UBI killed all Tom Clancy games, Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon are not really good games now. Conviction killed Splinter Cell and Blacklist wasn´t too much of a help, superhuman speed, forced combat sequences, playstyles, Splinter Cell simply lost most of the stealth it had, the only think I like from Conviction is the plot and the 3E level (finally some stealth), Blacklist may have some stealth but the plot doesn´t make any sense (just like Double Agent). Just like I though: all the love went to Assassin´s Creed
Why even compare new rainbow six games with the old ones? They have nothing to do with the REAL Rainbow Six of the past before they submitted to the mainstream CRAP you see today, which is actually made for children it seems.
I wish RB6 Siege released a SP DLC and had this planning stage in it, would be great to have the mechanics of this game with better graphics/Visuals
I completely agree.

You need experience on the levels to know how to create an effective plan. Just play for fun a couple of times before trying to plan

How do you assign waypoints? Whenever I click (left or right) my mouse, nothing happens. I just hear a click.
Me wtf
@@Blah-i7n I figured it out. You can’t click too far away from the “starting point” of where your team can start.
you have to spanw your team first by clicking in the red square on the map!
Sorry to post for old video..i want to ask..anyone know why cant set waypoint for my team?
I have the exact same question. lol
I've just bought RS3 from Steam winter sale...this is informative.
Glad it helps. I did the whole sp campaign. I also believe that there are still people playing online.

the AI in vegas 1 and 2 sucked, they could spawn in weird places and they always knew where you were even if they couldnt have possibly seen you
"Ready or Not' by Void Interactive"
@@Go_Coup That's a spiritual successor to SWAT 4, not the R6 series

The lack of anything this realistic/detailedi GROUND BRANCH make it an utter disappointement despite its claim to be a successor.
I have some annoying short freezes whenever I place a waypoint on the map. Any ideas for a fix?

You didn't go with Domingo Chavez as team leader!

its not an opnion its a fact! the mouse and keyboard are just so much better for this kind of games
What settings did you use to run this game?? Everytime I try to place a waypoint the game lags and just makes the experience so much less enjoyable...

I appreciate that they kept the names of the operators like the book in this game
Example ding Chavez, Eddie price, dieter weber, Louis loiselle and john Clark, just a few I remember
