- This is a video review of Hasbro's Transformers 1984 vintage generation one G1 Autobot warriors Sideswipe! I the video I take a indepth look a the toy as well as it Japanese Takara Diaclone origins.

You’re absolutely right about getting the bios mixed between Sideswipe and Sunstreaker. Not only does the Sunstreaker figure has pile drivers, but you’ll notice that it also has a jet pack (the chrome engine that’s located on it’s back)

I've been waiting for this one!! He was my very first Transformer in '84. I got him and my brother got Sunstreaker, but we didn't find out that they were brothers until we were reading the bios in the car on the way home! That made our first Transformers experience even more awesome. I still have both of them. Thank you for the videos. This is an amazing series. BTW, I love it when you compare the figure to crazy s**t. That's funny. Keep it up man!!

Fond memories of days gone by, I do love me some G1 goodness! Sideswipe is cool, likeable character. My personal favs are Jazz, Hound, and Bluestreak.
According to the official storyline of Diaclone, they would battle the Insecticons.
Warwurders, I think that's what the bad guys were called.
Brodie I agree I loved sideswipe smokescreen and mirage as my 3 faves of the auto bots until the Dinobots came around. Sadly my jet fire has yellowed but restoring shoes gave me an idea. So same methods will be used. Hope it works

I had this figure for a few days before I returned it to the seller. It was one of those deals where you pay top dollar for a "sealed" bookstyle Transformer reissue. Just to get it and find that it's been opened and the stickers applied.

Great review The 80's Transformers Fan!!!!!!!! :D If I remember correctly Tiger Track was released exclusively by E-Hobby Shop in Japan, the equivalent of the Transformers Collector's Club, which is why Tiger Track goes for such a high price. :) Keep on being amazing, Double Thumbs Up. ;D

He looks awesome except for the fact that you have to pull out his arms cuz they feel like they're going to snap off. That also applies to other g1 transformers.

Oh yeah my second favorite Autobots Characters in The franchise Sideswipe is my second G1 toy that I have my first first g1 toy that I have is Ironhide

The 80's Transformers Fan yes ironhide was my first g1 toys as a kid is gift from my uncle that he transformers too and later he got Sideswipe on my birthday Sideswipe is my Second G1 toy and he got me the last three transformers toys that is Hound, Trailbreaker, & Mirage I got them at Christmas and I was so Happy that I got them

Listen, No offense, But I'm a ("USAF VETERAN,") & when reffering to the manned vehicles, They're only pilots when operating flying crafts. Otherwise, They're either drivers or operators of that non-flying vehicle!! 🙂👍🏼
I totally get it. Just so you know, in the Diaclone line, the toy that becomes Sideswipe can fly in robot mode. In fact, they all can fly.
@@80sTransfromersFan I get it!! Even in the animated series they could fly, but they didn't have humanoid- alliances though. I just wanted to point out that observation to differentiate between pilot verses passenger. In fact, Since the ("Diaclone") Transformers were autonomous robots, I surmise, those humanoid companions still were not "piloting" them, But simply riders Ya' know?!? 🙂
@user-vq9kn2ix4n Yes, but the point I was making was about the Diaclone origins. In the Diaclone continuity, Takara states that they are "pilots," and if you goggle it, they are called "Diaclone Pilots."🤷🏿♂️👍🏾

@@80sTransfromersFan The vast majority of "sealed" Transformers for sale I can tell from the pictures that it's been opened. Usually one of the flaps is half open making it obvious. There are a ton of people that get ripped off paying top dollar for a "sealed" new figure that is really used or you can tell has been retaped.
