This review brings back so many good memories of my G1 Wheeljack. Great to see him again in this pristine condition. I tried to get some of the Wheeljacks from the Combiner Wars, the United line and now acquired the Earthrise version. I'm thinking about getting the 3rd party weapons for the Earthrise one. I'm not a MP collector but I would love to own the Masterpiece Wheeljack one day. He's on my bucket list. Your review was very thorough and informative.
I'll admit, you had me fooled when you got the knife out. I was like please no, don't do it. for just that second before you stopped, nice fake out. It is also great to see these G1 toys that we all dreamed of having as a kid. The whole collection was a dream for most of us.

I had Wheeljack for Christmas (1990 i think) when he was re-released in the UK, the boxes and booklets weren't as attractive but man I loved him..one of my all time favourite Autobots in the cartoon, comic or toy line. P.S I also picked up a KO Mirage.
I don't know if its official but read about an alternative vehicle flight mode where you flip open the doors and put the wings to the side like Tracks Also look at the back of the figure the KO has different screws than the original G1, Awesome Review ...

Awesome video! I never owned Wheeljack as a kid. Not sure why. I think I just liked a some of the other cars more I guess. A couple times during your video you had video clips running while you were talking (one of them actually covered the middle of the screen). i would suggest showing the video clips separately and then talking. No big deal. It was just hard to concentrate on both you and the videos at the same time. That Diaclone commercial was pretty interesting by the way. Just pointing this out because I want to hear everything you say. You always share such great/interesting info in your videos. Still a great video as always. I was really looking forward to this video after your previous bunch focusing on the minibots, and you did not disappoint. Thanks.

I had 2 of them a couple of years ago. 1 boxed original and 1 European classic loose. Regret that I sold them to get more masterpiece figures. But I will get one back one day. Hopefully soon. Take care buddy
My best friend had Wheeljack. I always thought it look like a gorilla because he's arms were so long, Lol! I never wanted Wheeljack because he didn't come with a gun. But I think I'm going to get the masterpiece version after seeing this review. He looks AWESOME!
I said the same thing siege should of made a 2 pack with wheeljack and bumblebee that transformed into cybertronian vehicle mode. Wheeljack was the first one seen in the first episode of the cartoon.
By the way. In the original movie script. Sideswipe died. Go back & look at the movie on the recent DVD release. When you see Arcee dragging a dead Windcharger from afar. Sideswipe is laying dead. So Wheeljack's death at that time could've been just an animation error. Fans also point out how Wheeljack's rocket launcher on the cartoon is similar to Sideswipe's. I believe he did die since he wasn't in the 3rd season. But just not at that point. Keep in mind also in the script. When the Decepticons were retreating. Astrotrain was supposed to ride by a dead Trailbreaker in train form, while crushing unknown Decepticons as well. He could've also died in the uncut seen of the movie, where all the Decepticons were airborne. The Autobots began to attack from the ground. And this was supposed to be the scene where pretty much every 1984 & 1985 Autobot was killed off by all of the Decepticons, in order to promote the season 3 lineup. I heard it was scrapped from the movie because it would've been too gruesome for some children. I heard that parents were taking their children out of the theaters after Ironhide's pointblank death scene by Megatron. So maybe the producers were right to remove the scene & to keep up guessing on how did some of the Autobots actually were killed. 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
I hated that they killed off my favorite character's but if they didn't I don't think Transformers would have had the lasting impact on fans around the world that it's does today! Terrible then, awesome in the long run!

The easiest and hard to get g1 is Megatron. Because it's against the law to sell him in his original unaltered form. And a complete in good condition well cost you a couple hundred bucks. My top ten 84 TF are Cliffjumper ,Brawn ,Wheeljack ,Prowl, Jazz, Optimus Prime, Megatron, Soundwave, Ravage, Starscream no particular order. What's your top 10 ?

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 As I said before. My 2 favorite good guys were Bumblebee, Grimlock & if I had to pick a 3rd one it would be Slag. The latter 2 behaved more like Decepticons than Autobots, pretty much my reason for liking them. The Decepticons could've scrapped every single Autobot in the movie & I've would've fine with that. Ironhide was the most annoying Autobot to me. He was giving so much shine in Season's 1 & 2 that the cartoon completely dropped the ball to remind the fans that Prowl was 2nd in command of the Autobots. Ironhide, being shot by Starscream 2x, Mixmaster 1x, Megatron's gun mode once in the famous movie, gave me great joy before my favorite Decepticon of all time smiled as he brutally ended his annoying life. All hail Megatron!!! He's indeed the greatest Transformer of all time!! 😅😅😅😅😅👑👑👑👑👑

I was a child of the Unicron trilogy so I didn't have any G1 Transformers as a kid. I did, however, have some of the G1 cartoon on VCR including the More than Meets the Eye trilogy. I watched those VCR tapes over and over again. Wheeljack was one of my favorites to watch. Eventually I got a Cybertron Downshift and I just pretended he was Wheeljack. Also just a bit of constructive criticism, when you add clips of the cartoon into your videos you should lower their volume or just mute them. It gets hard to understand what you're saying.

I think your copy is a 1990s run that was released in China by Hasbro. Not a KO because there are examples of other Transformers with the Chinese sticker on the upper right corner of the box with the Chinese name. Nevertheless a great figure and still original.

I wish someone would make great Dinobot KO's. I've got the KO's that you see everywhere and they look good. But things are loose like the hands on Grimlock, etc. so the hands can't stay extended or other things are too tight. I did like how they did some versions with gold paint instead of red plastic so the figure looked like the artwork on the box.
i bought one from mail away catalog no weapons and yet i dont know what happened to all my transformers and i had acquired trypticon when i was a kid dont know how but all my transformers disappeared..not i got a shitload transformers
Yes, I understand all that, but in the end, Wheeljack is still an official casualty of the 1986 movie purge. And just because he showed up in the Japanese Headmaster cartoon doesn't mean he survived the movie.

Man the original transformers movie was very disappointing I mean all the cartoons they got shot up no problems then all of a sudden megatron got a cyber desert eagle and starts capping autobots??? I was like foh?! 😂 but man I gotta wait for wheeljack masterpiece to go on sale.

I love your reviews and this one is no exception. However, you misb Wheeljack is a 90s China Hasbro Issue. (I have a couple myself) The Chinese sticker on the box both front and back is a tell. As is the copyright not mentioning Takara or "made and printed in japan". Still a Hasbro release, and an Amazing piece of transformers History! Thank you! In the video I tried to make the point that it's not a modern day reissue not to pass it off as a 84 version. The biggest tell for me is the insert is white and not gray. And thanks for the link I have never seen this site before!

Although watching your video and others I feel great nostalgia for them. Other than this G1 Wheeljack, I had Cyclonus, and the 2 G1 Dinobots (Slag and Sludge) when I was a kid.

I think your copy is a 1990s run that was released in China by Hasbro. Not a KO because there are examples of other Transformers with the Chinese sticker on the upper right corner of the box with the Chinese name. Nevertheless a great figure and still original.

Only Devastator, but I've had to replace a lot of the pieces over the years. So I'd say he's about 70% still my original.

Great review as always . Wheeljack the character was always fav of mine. Never had a G1 as a kid . Have his Earthrise thats ok but better with longer shoulder missile and wings. I wish someone would make great Dinobot KO's. I've got the KO's that you see everywhere and they look good. But things are loose like the hands on Grimlock, etc. so the hands can't stay extended or other things are too tight. I did like how they did some versions with gold paint instead of red plastic so the figure looked like the artwork on the box.
i bought one from mail away catalog no weapons and yet i dont know what happened to all my transformers and i had acquired trypticon when i was a kid dont know how but all my transformers disappeared..not i got a shitload transformers

Yes, I understand all that, but in the end, Wheeljack is still an official casualty of the 1986 movie purge. And just because he showed up in the Japanese Headmaster cartoon doesn't mean he survived the movie.

@@drjohnscott7785 my son was making noise and I kept stopping and yelling at him and I had to run up and down the stairs to get toys/props for the review. You would not believe what I go through to put out these review with a 9 year and 5 year old and one barking dog 5 feet from me at all times!😭😭😭
