We hit the surveillance camera on the wall. Those cameras have diamond shaped collision which we can boost into at just the right height to receive an upwards slide, or what appears to be a slide. This was discovered by stoggervlazar :)
I wanted to report this for fraudulent activity but then realised it defaulted me to 480p. The strats were insane. I wonder if a full-game TAS would ever become a thing.
@@TheReq why don’t u use some of those strats in a normal run! Is it impossible? The flight strats were insane the angles you were getting were like impossible to get on Xbox I am still proud of my 37.65 on Xbox for playground 1 no shortcuts or kick glitches haha
@@Yan-gn7jb I can't take credit for this run because it's a TAS. It is more of a showcase of what a perfect run would look like. It required the game to be "programmed" to play perfectly, frame by frame. And I think everything that is humanly possible is already done in the 2:37.20 chapter 1 WR.

What tools do you use for making these tas runs? And could they be used in MEC?
It's called MTAS made specific for mirror's edge by jerryisreal. It doesn't work with MEC as far as I know.

To unpause the timer. In the elevator, we glitch the timer to stay paused. Saves 1-2 seconds.

It's a demo that you can input commands into each individual frame, then play the demo back in real time.
