@@georgeoctavio thanks! I’m looking into a travel nursing position there so just learning about the area. Seems like a nice place to live. 🌲🌲🌲

When traffic got so bad that it took half an hour to go from one side to the other, I moved out. Meridian street is a total headache.

Sounds like an honest statement to me 😂
Definitely one of the downsides during that peak meridian traffic

Puyallup has enough people here from Seattle and California. And take the crime and liberal politics with you.

rent is outrageous , gas prices are through the roof, and wages simply don't meet the high cost of living. It takes two to three incomes to afford to live anywhere in the state of Washington, which means no privacy or indendence.

And now for a comment on what kind of property I have seen sell and for how much.
A house two houses back from ours, near PHS sold for roughly $650,000. if I remember correctly, it was June of last year. A three bedroom two story craftsman built in early 1910’s. Clearly grandfathered, because the backyard was HUGE, took up half the block. You could tell it was the first house there because the other houses and their backyards were even situated infront of their back ‘meadow’. I will miss that “Secret Garden”, view from the back kitchen window…
DO NOT MISS THE HIGH SCHOOL KIDS THAT SIMPLY WALK THROUGH YOUR YARD LIKE THEY OWN IT THOUGH! Making whole foot paths in the grass, simply because you didn’t have a fence? I started leaving the sprinkler on during sunny and cloudy days right when the bell would toll, so nobody would feel tempted to continue.
Like imagine you’re trying to breastfeed your child in the sunroom at the back of the house, and all of a sudden there’s teenagers gawking at you through the window- WHEN THEY WOULD HAVE TO TRESSPASS TO EVEN FIND THAT VIEW. 😤

Puyallup is not diverse! I work in the school district and the black students have to deal with micro aggressions and racism. The teachers act like they don’t know what’s going on and sweep it under the rug. Also the crime has gotten worse with the homelessness growing!

Diversity is based on analytics and what’s presented based on research.
We live in a America where minorities like myself will always be minor in terms of quantity. You’ll never have 50/50 I consider you research diversity in terms of America as a whole and Puyallup/Washington ranks higher in comparison.
If you’re seeing racism being conducted I suggest you report. Personally I haven’t dealt with racism but unfortunately location isn’t a derivative of how “people” should act. I just know and believe Puyallup and the overall consensus is good.
If homeless and crime worries people I always tell them to be very aware that Pierce/King County are the highest crime locations in the entire state. Being located next door to Tacoma, Puyallup unfortunately gets some of the nonsense. But if you ask me which is safer you know the answer.
Love your comment though definitely some of my favorite ones are the ones that people give their honest opinion it helps everyone out and I appreciate you!
