If you lost your vision, what would you miss most? What could you do to be able to enjoy it again? This is a challenge for you to think creatively.
Christine Ha I'd probably miss everything except for my cellphone. I have already watched how you use yours and I am getting good at it day by day ✌️everything that is missed can be felt by touch as you said. That's what I would do to enjoy what i miss ! Oh I got one ! I would miss looking at food !! Maybe i could enjoy touching and feeling it more than looking at it .

Christine Ha that's a very good question. i don't know how i would cope because not everyone has the same fortitude. on the positive side, it would curb my porn consumption. No more blue balls! seriously though, I don't know, chef. I guess I would miss sight itself because of the strain I would probably put on the relationships I currently have. let's hope that it doesn't come to that!
Christine Ha I use an iPhone haha 😅 voice assistant and what not.. I could type without looking at my keypad correctly at a pretty good level ✌️
To be honest i would not be able to live and will surely fall into depression. I will miss gaming online with my boyfriend too much and this was what made us meet. Gaming has a very important part in my life. That's why i admire you for your strength.
My mum has been blind since I was 3. Both of us and my younger brother involved in a car accident. Both of us survived but unfortunately my brother didn't. I am now 28 and she's still the Queen in our kitchen. Love her forever.

Every computer since the late 90s has had basic text to speech services. Android and Apple have services for their phones, SIRI and similar can transcribe notes. Most smart phones can even connect to braille displays thanks to bluetooth should they need/want that. The world's far more accessible than you might think, it's more of a surprise when things aren't accessible than the fact they are.
Thank you for this video. I was afraid to cook many years ago because of my low vision. I was scared of ruining dishes and making people feel ill. I was even afraid to attend a 6 month commercial cooking course. But with the encouragement of my best friend, Chef instructor, and your appearance on MasterChef, it gave me all the courage and confidence I needed to learn to cook. You have become a big influence to me and I thank you very much for inspiring me to not let my low vision become my limit of what I can do.

She is truly inspirational, I've never really admired anyone in my life, but I think Christine is the 1st person I really admire.
Im nervous in general when I use a knife, I can't imagine how I would feel without my sight and using a knife. I seriously just realized how much we take seeing for granted.

I suppose people who like me got sea sick and didn't have the decency not to blame it on the person making the video. Or people who expected a step by step video on a certain dish, exact measurements and ingredients included. Or envious people who even with working eyesight are incapable of cooking water without burning it. Who knows. There are weird trolls out there.
Maybe its one of the cooks from the master chef competition that she kicked ass in...id guess whoever disliked this is jealous of her stunning achievements.

There is a illness in people that make it so that when they see a 0 or a prime number they HAVE TO change and they can't help it, same thing goes for when people see 1s or 3s they have to change it an even number they have no ill intent, and they cant help them selves. The need to change it would be overwhelming.

Love your comment. But one thing to consider. I couldn't watch the whole video because it made me sea sick. (it's not the first one and won't be the last one, I'm sure). Maybe those people had similar reactions and laid the blame on Christina and not their own weird body.

She said I would miss like she would miss it if she couldn't see so I don't think Catrina Lee is blind (correct me if im wrong)but blind people use the Internet by using voice over, voice over is pretty much something that you turn in settings that is available on apple and android/Samsung electronics I don't know about others.But voiceovers well voices what's on your screen, it reads it outloud so if someone blind is reading this.They are hearing it being said throw a Siri like voice.Its just being read by their electronic.
watching her win the finals in masterchef was the first time i cried tears of joy in over three years... im amazed on a whole new level

Wow you are truly inspiring. I was in an accident and it caused a Traumatic brain injury. I wanted to go to college and work in medicine but now I have trouble focusing , paying attention, reading,writing, remembering and taking in information at a slower paced. It’s made me almost give up on my goals but you’re inspiring me to believe in myself.

Whenever I see you cook, I'm in complete amazement. You are so talented at cooking. I wish I could cook. I still have my vision, and I'm awful at it. But this really makes you appreciate what you have. I never really thought of my eyesight as a privilege, but seeing you cook and go through life like a freaking boss made me think twice.

You make me remember to be thankful of our senses. Many times I forget and get lost in petty emotions with coworker on the line. To feel. To enjoy. To share great food. The joy communicating and teaching others and asking nothing in return. The beauty of keeping an art alive.

I'm not blind, nor do I plan on ever becoming a professional chef, but I am new to cooking and hope to become better at it through watching others. I remember watching masterchef and I knew you would win from the very start. You just seemed so passionate about what you do and to me that is really inspiring. Very few people can make a good meal to impress celebrity chefs but you did so, even with the disadvantage of not being able to see. Though you have a drawback you were willing to give everything your best shot and this is what I really admire about you. I hope good luck for you in the future!

When i watched you on Masterchef I learn something that it is not how extravagant or luxurious you can cook but it is respect and love for you do or for the food you cook that make other smile and cooking is not in physical abilities but from heart...

Amazing :)! Even though others in Masterchef could cook very well too, you just always had the edge since you're blind. Not only because you could taste better, but also because everything you did was much more impressive. You deserved the win and set an example for all people that have troubles in life of any kind :D

She's not fully blind right? Like she can still she shadows or blurred silhouettes of objects. So I guess that helps a bit too. But nonetheless she's amazing. One of, if not, the best masterchef seasons when she was on it and won.

I really appreciate the work you do as a chef. I am a chef as well and recently contracted a viral conjunctivitis. My vision has been horrible for about 2 weeks and started getting worse to a point I can’t drive. I know it’ll get better but the frustration and fear are only too real. You're a frigging inspiration. I cried when you won MasterChef and you deserved it rightfully so. You showed the world that your "disability" was more of a handicap...for other PEOPLE! You didn't let it stop you or hinder you and instead, you used your other senses and pure grit to do what you do.
