I think he was thinking what we all were thinking. That pee shooter was more likely to just piss it off more if it was taking full body blows from a walking tank and shrugging it off. But Max definitely pumped points into luck and got a crit head shot in VATS.

@@andyb1653 I mean, i wouldn't really count the vault-suits, since we're not sure if they actually those, but the bobbleheads are absolutely top-3.
@3:52 "Is that thing a terrible shot, or is it missing on purpose?" The first one. Those turrets are something of a joke in-universe. In Fallout's lore, that "please remain calm" screen is there specifically to lure the target into standing still so the turret has a chance to actually hit them.

At higher levels, the advanced turrets finally start coming into their own but they're basically worthless before then -- unless you enjoy watching and hearing them shoot everything except what they're trying to hit. 😉
A lot of people tend to be a bit to shocked to notice when the puppy got cooked, but the sign said to kill all puppy’s weighing under 10 ounces. This little doggo weighed 9’8 but he wrote down 10 to save it and hid him and truly cared for the dog.

When it had his arm he should of used the booster on his other arm as a weapon and put it up to the head..but nah tidus dumb lol
Also if you didn't turn and run then it wouldn't have knocked him over and made him do a header into a big boulder which is probably what actually caused him to puncture a lung with one of his own ribs. Because he was spitting up blood saying he couldn't breathe despite the suit never being breached.
he should have been demanding shoot while punching the bear. the bear getting punched was knocking it back a little. those Yao guai are however capable of destroying power armor so a prolonged fight would be bad

I really like the Ghoul. He's my favorite character out of the trio. My favorite thing about the power armor in this show is how it makes you sound. In the games, it sounds like you're speaking through an intercom or a radio or something, but in this show, it freaking turns you into Darth Vader! 🤩
Agree on both counts. The Ghoul is just plain awesome, and that power armor is badass!!

Interestingly, the Ghoul genuinely smiles only once in this episode, when the dog stands up after being stimpacked.
The guy with the dog AKA the Target is Michael Emerson. He's probably most well known for playing Ben Linus in the ABC show "LOST" and Leland Townsend in the CBS show "Evil." He's incredibly talented and does such a good job in both shows.

The Donut shop is from the Fallout games. A pre war franchise called "Slocum's Joe." The series is full of these in game refernces. Like all the containers in Filly being inscribed with company names from the game. And Lucy pointing a gun at the farmer is just how players do it. Forgetting to holster my weapon while talking to NPC's still happens to me after 4000+ hours. 😅
And the clothing stand in Filly looking similar to the ones found in fallout 4 also.
4:50 - the family of skeletons.
I remember reading that the Fallout developer Bethesda intentionally did not want to put any child skeletons in the game. There might be a few rare occurances or some "young teen" skeletons, but not any really young kids. Instead they create what I think is called "silent storytelling" or "visual storytelling" where a skeleton dressed in a skirt lies next to a stroller with a teddy bear in, with the teddy bear either symbolizing the child or that it was the child's toy but there's no child (which is almost worse, that someone grabbed the child).
It is strongly hinted that there were young casualties of the bombs dropping but just like in the show they are never really seen, more hinted at.
I completely understand your reaction to the opening scene of the first episode. I grew up in that era too and remember having a fallout shelter in our basement and discussions about what to do in school.

This first town that they all met at is called Filly. Not related to Philly (Philadelphia). This story takes place in California. "Filly" most likely is named that because it is build out of a landfill.
Yea, the whole “Philly” thing was just for laughs, due to the name similarities.

For Fallout 4 there's a modder that modded Lucy, The Ghoul, and Maximus into the game as playable characters and there's another modder that modded Lucy's tranq gun and The Ghouls's guns in the game
The dog has enhanced intelligence and possibly an extremely extended life span.there were some dogs in either new vegas or fallout 3 that were fiddled with somehow and they could live for a LONG time
When I was a kid we did that crouching under your desk drill, but they changed it from nuclear bombs to severe tornadoes heheh
The music in this show is so amazing, and most of the old time songs are in the games! It really is an interesting vibe exploring the ingame wastelands while listening to 50's music haha.

Fun reference from Fallout 4: The turret misses Wilzig and Four because it's a Mk. I turret, which are notoriously inaccurate in the game.

Thats a level 1 turret in the beginning. They are cheap and can be built early. They also can't hit the broadside of a barn. Usually you use them as an alarm. Gun starts shooting in your settlement. Go to the were the gun is and fight the attackers.😆

For those that don’t know, one reason the knight was beaten by the bear is because, like he said “That a huge _____” and that is because the bear nor its family from when the bombs first went off could really hide from the radiation so that is a highly mutated bear, so yes he did have that armor but the bear got the jump on him so he hadn’t been able to use his gun and it is way more powerful than a normal bear because it is mutated
