Many thanks for this video man, I just put mine together today with your help. Luckily I don't have a shifter, so that saved a little time. I got a great deal on this thing on Amazon, only 70 dollars, and so far I'm quite happy with it. It's very solid and serves the purpose. Again, many thanks.
@@mecambieelnombre6872 It's very solid man, and it has rubber stops on the bottom to keep it from moving. It's fairly heavy as well, I don't think you'll have any issues with it moving. If you do have any issues, you can put a weight or something in front of it, but it's heavy, solid metal. Smart, affordable buy in my opinion.
I know I’m commenting on a two-year old video, but wanted to let folks know of one thing I did differently that worked better for me. First off, without this video I probably would have snapped at some point trying to build this using just the instructions that came with it. I originally put this together putting the support rods in the way you mentioned at around the 8:40 mark. However, this makes it harder to put the plastic screws back in if you fold it and then go to put it back up. By keeping the “screw-in” part on the inside, it is so much easier to screw the plastic screws back in. I’m guessing this is the way it is supposed to be and , like I said, it worked out well for me. I have Thrustmaster TMX wheel, not using the shifter plate, so I have the telescopic brackets pushed all the way in. This stand is very sturdy. I have to believe that people who are having stability issues may not have constructed this stand correctly. Also, the instructions that came with my stand show the table with the rounded side to the back, so it looks like they have now fixed the instructions as far as that goes. Otherwise, the instructions are terrible. So, thanks again for making the video!
Great video, I just got this stand and it helped a lot. I noticed a pretty big delay when you were driving on your TV. You might want to see if your TV has a "game" mode to reduce latency. That delay you're getting would make it extremely difficult to drive.
Haha, I am so glad I am not the only one who caught this. I thought I was out of my mind. I was thinking, can I really tell that there is high latency on a TH-cam video. Apparently I am not the only one. #TULUPWOODSHOP make sure you fix this.
@@crackdofus I think it's good enough. There is some wobble, but nothing that made it feel like I couldn't play or drive properly. If you're wanting a really solid feeling stand though, I'd recommend something else. This is definitely a budget stand.

Thanks for the wonderful review brother, it was full of useful information. I want to mention that it looks like you have ALOT of latency between the wheel and the screen. Latency is basically how long it takes the digital wheel to turn when you turn your actual wheel. I would suggest you look into your TV's settings. Many TV's have something called "Game Mode". "Game Mode" should either be on or off depending on your TV's specific software. What ever you do, just make sure the low latency mode is selected. 15 minutes of settings surfing can greatly improve the video gaming performance of your TV for years to come. EVERYONE who games needs to be checking this setting on every display they use.
Thanks! You’re not the first to mention it. I consider myself a gamer, but somehow never notice it… using an old TV in the video. Looking at a new TV with good refresh and better input rates.

Thank you for the video! I put it all together and then realized I had no shifter stand with my kit. Looked on Amazon and realized I ordered the stand without one 😂. Now I gotta come up with my own way to mount it up haha. For now I’ll just use paddles but I do have a shifter I’d like to mount up in the future. Again thank you!

This wheelstand is not worth money. Too much lateral movement. Mounting fanatec shifter is absolutely crap. Not solid, breaking down because of weight of shifter. Buy another one.
Well, there is always a balance between what you pay for, and the quality of the product you get. In this case; I feel this product is a very good, budget friendly steering wheel. @@tulipwoodshop6100 I was talking about where the four bolts attach the foot plate to the frame .I bought a tap yesterday and retapped the hole , fixed now .
@@kennyk4134 Great you got to use it without any further delay of returning it! Hope you're enjoying it!
Est ce qu'on peut plier le support avec le volant et pédales dessus ? Pour ranger
(I had to use google translate as my French is not so good :)
Yes you can fold it up, but in order to do so, you need to twist out two thumbscrews.
I guess this is fine for most people, but it does take a minute or two (same for setting it back up of course)
Can anyone recommend a chair that would connect to this stand?
put this together and it couldnt support the weight of my wheel base alone, it fell on motor shaft & i feel like crying
Really curious what wheel base you put onto it? Also nice for other with that base to prevent trying the same.
Helpful video, but half of of what your doing is off screen, plus you never say what bolts you're using.
Yeah sorry ‘bout that
What’s the name of the games you’re playing?
I was playing F1 2020, and Forza horizon
@@tulipwoodshop6100 actually thats 2019
@@qksf1645 damn, busted! :)
Great! But I can’t even tell what you’re doing up too man!
How did you stabilize the legs connecting to the base?
Just like I show in the video, or maybe I don’t instant the question.
You didn’t point the camera in right direction while assembling the top area 🙂😭
Ueah I figured that out at one point... I'll do better next time I hope :P
Dude using the music from grid 2 lol
wWHY wont anyone show how top plate is put in I been at it 2 hours IT WILL NOT FIT!!!!!!
Hmmm I discussed it quite a bit, (first, the wrong way: th-cam.com/video/65FwRm_FvM4/w-d-xo.html ) And later correctly: th-cam.com/video/65FwRm_FvM4/w-d-xo.html
Round endges should face AWAY from you! What's failing for you?
they have terrible instructions so i used my best guess and i did NOT use the 4 washers that were included but they did NOT mention where to use them!! my guess is that the washers are optional!!
Dude. I can’t see
Sorry, not the most experienced cinematographer :/
@@tulipwoodshop6100 damn now I feel bad
Diy on how to build your sim rig out of wood ik you can do it and i think it will help, a lot of people would definitely be looking that up specially now with forza horizon 5 highly recommend it🤷🏻♂️💯💙
I’ll definitely consider it; might be a while till it makes the top of the list.
i can’t see u what u doing
I'm sorry, I didn't notice I was Out of view, and didn't want to fake that part
This is a great video, but the music is very annoying, and distracting. It makes it hard to hear you, and adds nothing. But thank you for the video anyway.
Thanks for the feedback; will pay more attention to that next time!
Well I’m glad I’m not the only one. As we opened it with my grandson I explained to lay out all the parts and hardware so we can check all parts are there. Well no parts list and the crappies instructions I’ve ever seen. Should of built my own. Do not recommend this product we bought on amazon
I've gone over all the bolts on mine and it still wobbles especially when drifting and being fast with the wheel anyone else experience this?
Can you determine where the wobble originates?
This wheelstand is not worth money. Too much lateral movement. Mounting fanatec shifter is absolutely crap. Not solid, breaking down because of weight of shifter. Buy another one.
Well, there is always a balance between what you pay for, and the quality of the product you get. In this case; I feel this product is a very good, budget friendly steering wheel.
If you moved on to Fanatec hardware; I can imagine your demands for the stand also increases (the forces involved with Fanatec steering wheel is also much higher).
But thanks for your comment, as that might also be relevant to others!
horrible instructions
Mine, or the original instructions that came with the mount?
