    Thank you for the tips. I’m in my last year and I’ve had plenty close calls & times where I’ve had to score a high grade on a final to pass the class. That’s is the worst feeling ever and I never want to go through it again!

    I did two years of nursing school, although I did not get a degree back then. I would love to pick up where I left. Your videos, which I bumped into them by accident has inspired me to do so. Even though, I went to college over 20 years ago. I’m a self thought of everything I love, to take care better of my family. Thank you for been an inspiration for others that has the little bee-nurse inside. Blessings!

      Caffeine addict, I'm curious how your start to this semester is going so far? In my pre reqs, I almost never had to touch my textbooks, but with the nursing program needing to be mostly online right now, it's very book heavy. I'm having a very hard time making the transition. Any tips you've come up with?

    I am taking Nursing Process (Fundamentals) online so I really do not have an idea of what to study because we don’t meet with her so we are really teaching ourselves. Do you recommend using the cheat sheet for the practice NCLEX questions?

    • @NursingSOS
      @NursingSOS  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Malaysha Smith, for NCLEX® style questions, the resources we always recommend are the Saunders NCLEX® Comprehensive Review book (it's a physical book), and the NCLEX® Mastery App (this one is an app for your phone).
      They have tons of options to filter through questions (fundamentals, pharmacology, med-surg, etc.), and they are very similar to the questions you'll see on the NCLEX®.
      Hope this helps!! You're going to do amazing, friend. Believe in yourself and never, ever give up. You've got this!!

    So when you say instead of reading the entire text book word for word, study the information the instructor talks about in class- does that also mean study the chapter objectives? I feel like when it says know this and be able to explain this in the chapter objectives, it’s pinpointing the information we should focus on. Is that correct? Also we are given PowerPoints for each chapter, should we study everything on the PowerPoint as well?

    • @NursingSOS
      @NursingSOS  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great questions, Teréz Gemma! So you will need to read enough so that you can fully understand and critically think about the concepts that your instructor talks about. So that may mean reading more than the objectives, but you may understand the concept without reading the full chapter. And as far as powerpoints, if your instructor is talking about the topics in class, focus on them! I hope that helped clarify it for you! Thank you for being here😊

    I was studying and started freaking out. The skin integrity and wound chapter in fundamentals is soooooo long and I have 5 other chapter to read, But the exam only have 40 questions. It just doesn't make sense. Why does the professor say to make sure we read the chapters but know we cant read EVERYTHING :( .... I feel so overwhelmed, But I'm going to trust this process, take your tips and pray I get a good grade. @NursingSOS

    What do you advise over SATA questions? Those really get me 😭 and I hear with each semester, there are more of those and I wouldn't want those questions to sabotage my grade 🤯

    • @NursingSOS
      @NursingSOS  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This video is super helpful for Exam hacks! The best advice for SATA questions is to answer the question with each option, if it works great, if not then move along onto the next select all option. This video explains it too: th-cam.com/video/25ES37ODZ_A/w-d-xo.html Thanks for being here, Caffiene Addict!

    How old is too old to be in Nursing school ? I am in my second semester and so much happening right now .... my mom died during the break which was totally unexpected . Our other house is finally under contract after a year so the stress of extra payments etc has gotten to me . I have been confident up to this point and my mom’s death really hit me . We are in Pharm so I’m panicking ! I just feel like I am too old 59 to do all this ..Feeling isolated bc I’m older than my professors and students!

      Terry Lausman Really ! Good to know ... I am just discouraged . I failed Pharm by two stinking points and passed the final ! II was supposed to graduate spring of 22 and now it will get pushed to Sp ‘23! 😩 i feel so stupid ... all the students in my contact group all passed except me ! My professor didn’t take into consideration the extra stress I was under w mom passing , and all that occurs w closing her apartment etc . I really felt abandoned ...

Chin up you can do it :)

    What if your professor demands that you need to read all of the assigned readings in order to do well on all of the exams? She really stressed it and so did other professors. She said the PowerPoints won’t be enough, not even for getting more information on the textbook to do fine on the exam. Please help. Thank you.
