I think real life examples are even more impressive. If you can bench press 100 kg (220 lbs), if you went SSJ, you could bench 5 tons. SSJ2, 10 tons. SSJ3, 40 tons... ?! 🤯
it's not how it works irl, let's take cars for example, doubling cars hp and torque doesn't speed up car (neither acceleration or max speed) by 2 it will brobably increase by 50%-70%, and the further we increase the hp and torque alongside with it the less speed boost is going to be, the same thing goes to muscular strength, if you suddenly magnify your muscle strength by 50 and you are capable of benching 100 kilos you are not going to be capable of benching 5tons, probably 2tons will be fine idk, I guess there is formula for that but I'm not that nerdy tbh

Funny thing in the game Dragon Ball Legends for April Fools Day the depleted an event where Raditz goes through a “Groundhog Day loop” dream of fighting said Framer. But with the twist the Framer power goes up to 50, then 500 then 1000 to then 50000.
I spent all day trying to beat 500,000 Farmer in that event. It took a lot of abusing-the-AI’s-behavior before I managed to beat it, I’m still bummed out there weren’t any secret rewards for that.
This is why, especially in Super, I find it to be insane when characters fight in base against characters that require them to power up to any SSJ form.
absolutely, one thing i find just fucked about supers multipliers is just how strong ultra instinct is compared to blue or everything else in the franchise, for reference the second most powerful thing at the point of the tournament of power was vegeto in blue, Which was goku TIMES vegeta TIMES at least 50! If i wanted to throw a baseball all the way around the world, ignoring air resistance and assuming nothing got in the way, i would have to throw the ball at 7909.68 m/s. Which means i would need a multiplier of 253 in order to throw a baseball all the way around the world.

For more perspective You can also apply the super saiyan multiplier to horspower and vehicles. 150 hp is considered small nowadays for farm tractors, but if you apply 50x it's horsepower is on par with a train! Most push lawnmowers are around 4 hp. Multiply its power by 50 and you get a the horsepower of a Honda Accord 4 door Sedan (192hp). If the lawnmower went ssj2, its power would be close to that of an SS Camaro (~420hp).
Goku was damaged by a bullet in Super. In theory, if we use the saiyan multipliers for the shotgun, it should be able to solo at least till the start of the tournament of power.
Hey Qaaman, I’m a huge GT fan and have watched the heroes legacy movie many many times. I just wanted to let you know that Goku Jr. did have a high power level and had been training. Pan not only saw his true power a couple times while he was growing up but we see it in the movie too. His problem was his fear and timid nature holding him back, similar to a young gohan. Fun fact, the kaioken technique doesnt actually boost power level, rather increases the speed at which you can drain your ki(like the size of a dam behind a lake) this ki can be used to power up yourself or your energy blasts, but in turn it will expend more of your vital force, leading you to get tired quiker. The super sayian god also isnt a multiplier of powerlevels, rather converts your ki into god ki, which is more pure and way more efficient that mortal ki

Super saiyan is not canonically proven to be a x50 multiplier. The x50 boost is from daizenshuu and has never been referenced or implied in the manga. This would explain why Goku Jr. needed to become super saiyan to beat fodder, super saiyan's boost is more than likely based on the plot.
I think toryama said in an interview that he decided on 50x (based on comparing it to the kaioken it checks out) early dbz was actually very mathematically accurate, with power levels and freiza constantly explaining the percentages of power he was useing

But I would agree in the namek saga specifically 50x makes sense because Goku went from barely being able to hurt frieza in Kaioken x20 to dominating him in super saiyan. I could even argue the the multiplier was a lot higher since Goku was heavily fatigued.

honestly the more I think about the power levels in dbz the more I think they were pressured in by the studio to make the show easier for new comers to pick up, I have no evidence of that but it would make sense

The drain on the body that transformations do, dont really get mentioned all that much throughout the series. You have kaioken and NTB/ kikōhō that display blowback to the users bodies. power levels have always been weird to me with how a lot of people talk about them but given that an attack can have a higher power level than the person who was just powered up to max, i think power level is just how much energy is being released from a given individual at that moment the issue with it being characters using weighted clothing have a lower power level than usual when they would probably be exherting even more energy to be able to move around with them
For those who haven't watched a ton of dragon ball or haven't really seen numbers next to feats in dragon ball ill give you some fun facts. Master roshi with his 150 ish power level blew up the moon and again it got blown up relatively effortlessly by piccolo at around 400. You may not be able to shoot magic beams out of your hands but regardless just with base super saiyan assuming your an average human around that 5 power mark thus 250 at super saiyan you are 66% stronger than someone capable of blowing up the moon right out of the sky and also as strong as characters capable of moving multiple times faster than light shortly after.
Roshi in his first fight with Goku blew up the whole moon. It was just gone. So if you had a pw of 5 and got a boost of 400, you'd be strong enough to blow up a small planet if you knew the right technique

it's not how it works irl, let's take cars for example, doubling cars hp and torque doesn't speed up car (neither acceleration or max speed) by 2 it will brobably increase by 50%-70%, and the further we increase the hp and torque alongside with it the less speed boost is going to be, the same thing goes to muscular strength, if you suddenly magnify your muscle strength by 50 and you are capable of benching 100 kilos you are not going to be capable of benching 5tons, probably 2tons will be fine idk, I guess there is formula for that but I'm not that nerdy tbh

Funny thing in the game Dragon Ball Legends for April Fools Day the depleted an event where Raditz goes through a “Groundhog Day loop” dream of fighting said Framer. But with the twist the Framer power goes up to 50, then 500 then 1000 to then 50000.
The last one was actually 500k, which is why Frieza was intrigued since his power level is 530k

That may be true but i can tell you a fun fact that i do know. I can throw a baseball at 70mph, or 31.29 m/s. If i wanted to throw a baseball all the way around the world, ignoring air resistance and assuming nothing got in the way, i would have to throw the ball at 7909.68 m/s. Which means i would need a multiplier of 253 in order to throw a baseball all the way around the world.
So SSJ2 and stack that with the Kaio-Ken.

For more perspective You can also apply the super saiyan multiplier to horspower and vehicles. 150 hp is considered small nowadays for farm tractors, but if you apply 50x it's horsepower is on par with a train! Most push lawnmowers are around 4 hp. Multiply its power by 50 and you get a the horsepower of a Honda Accord 4 door Sedan (192hp). If the lawnmower went ssj2, its power would be close to that of an SS Camaro (~420hp).
Goku was damaged by a bullet in Super. In theory, if we use the saiyan multipliers for the shotgun, it should be able to solo at least till the start of the tournament of power.

Hey Qaaman, I’m a huge GT fan and have watched the heroes legacy movie many many times. I just wanted to let you know that Goku Jr. did have a high power level and had been training. Pan not only saw his true power a couple times while he was growing up but we see it in the movie too. His problem was his fear and timid nature holding him back, similar to a young gohan. If you go rewatch the movie, you’ll see what I mean

You’re not gunna close the gap in speed and power by increasing human stats by 36 times(180 divided by 5=36).Essentially even if “chuck” had ultra instinct he would still get dog washed by early OG dragon ball.
In simple terms the gap between a power level of 5 and 50 is trillions of times difference whereas the difference between someone with 20,000 and 10,000 is only 2x

Fun fact, the kaioken technique doesnt actually boost power level, rather increases the speed at which you can drain your ki(like the size of a dam behind a lake) this ki can be used to power up yourself or your energy blasts, but in turn it will expend more of your vital force, leading you to get tired quiker. The super sayian god also isnt a multiplier of powerlevels, rather converts your ki into god ki, which is more pure and way more efficient that mortal ki

If turtle could go super saiyan 3 considering he has a power level of 0.001 he would have a power level of 0.4 and would still lose to the farmer in base.
Super saiyan is not canonically proven to be a x50 multiplier. The x50 boost is from daizenshuu and has never been referenced or implied in the manga. This would explain why Goku Jr. needed to become super saiyan to beat fodder, super saiyan's boost is more than likely based on the plot.
I think toryama said in an interview that he decided on 50x (based on comparing it to the kaioken it checks out) early dbz was actually very mathematically accurate, with power levels and freiza constantly explaining the percentages of power he was useing

But I would agree in the namek saga specifically 50x makes sense because Goku went from barely being able to hurt frieza in Kaioken x20 to dominating him in super saiyan. I could even argue the the multiplier was a lot higher since Goku was heavily fatigued.

honestly the more I think about the power levels in dbz the more I think they were pressured in by the studio to make the show easier for new comers to pick up, I have no evidence of that but it would make sense

power levels have always been weird to me with how a lot of people talk about them
but given that an attack can have a higher power level than the person who was just powered up to max, i think power level is just how much energy is being released from a given individual at that moment
the issue with it being characters using weighted clothing have a lower power level than usual when they would probably be exherting even more energy to be able to move around with them

For those who haven't watched a ton of dragon ball or haven't really seen numbers next to feats in dragon ball ill give you some fun facts. Master roshi with his 150 ish power level blew up the moon and again it got blown up relatively effortlessly by piccolo at around 400. You may not be able to shoot magic beams out of your hands but regardless just with base super saiyan assuming your an average human around that 5 power mark thus 250 at super saiyan you are 66% stronger than someone capable of blowing up the moon right out of the sky and also as strong as characters capable of moving multiple times faster than light shortly after.
I mean, if I recall Spider-Man is only like 10x a normal human in most incarnations. So Super Saiyan would be madness.

The Power level in Dragon Ball was introduced just to make story more interesting and let the readers understand the power difference between characters. It has nothing to do with actual power of the Characters...... It has been multiple times stated that the Power of the Character's is Infinity or Limitless but still they got power level just to know the Power difference between their opponents and them.
I'm pretty sure they retconned SS to a 10x multiplier in super. It honestly smooths out the power scaling. 50x is just nonsensically high.
