I sat here for over 2 hours listening to this lovely lady's testimony. God has truly blessed her life once she reached America! I realize this was hard to relate, but grateful to have heard it. Thank you very much!
What a brave and giving young lady Elizabeth was during a time of hate, starvation and unspeakable horror and death which was the Holocaust. That Elizabeth and her sister were able to stay together, to stay alive throughout their time in those work camps, to endure everything they did together and survived to tell their story. Elizabeth was very brave and giving with the most precious of things she could possibly give us.. "herself", and her most precious, intimate and hurtful memories. Lets not make light of these precious many videos of herself. She gave much of herself. We could see how she smiled and laughed with telling some memories, and how some memories still make her cry, still bearing the pain all those many years back. It no doubt hurts her more now that more of her family is no longer with her, the burden of lost loved ones is harder for some to bear than for some others. Bless Elizabeth and also her family of her telling testimony to her Full Story to all of us. And bless her family's generations yet to come.

Elizabeth and the rest of the Jewish people have my love and respect. The people stole from the Jewish people. They stole their lives, their homes, their families, and their businesses. It makes me so sad to hear how Elizabeth had such a beautiful sweet life, and it was robbed from her. Elizabeth wherever you are; you're such a sweet beautiful woman, and I'm so happy you survived. We need to remember these beautiful lives and the horrors of the Holocaust so the people didn't die in vain.
I just want to give Elizabeth a hug and a kiss on her hand, so sad what she went through and her 85 year old uncle just wanted to get some flour. Wow, the people were so heartless and evil, very tragic.
This was a treasure for me. My mom was younger than Mrs. Wees, but also came from Carpathian Ruthenia. Almost everything Mrs. Wees described from home was what my mom told me. Czech public school was compulsory, people could sit or lay down on the stove. As my mom was so young, it was hard for her to describe these things as clearly as Mrs. Wees. I'm grateful to have heard this.

She is such a nice lady. It hurts to hear of her suffering. I could see the pain in her eyes. In my humble opinion, America sure got a great citizen when she came here in 1946. I am so grateful that she found the strength to speak out.
Dear Ms Wees: your survival of all those horrors is amazing. Thank you for sharing your daunting story and your childhood ways of life in Czechoslovakia. My husbands father emigrated with his brother from Czechoslovakia to America as a teenager before the war and never discussed the circumstances. He was a spunky, hard working person like you and your family.

I know. It broke my heart listening and seeing her struggling with her pain as she bore her heart memory by memory and word by word.
