Thanks John. I'm not sure if I'll show any actual play. This is all in preparation for a gaming weekend with my nephew in a few weeks. But I do hope to have time before then to show some sample combat and maybe some other mechanisms as I work to familiarize myself with the rules.
Very nice. Nova is going to be a formidable fighter. I’ll post a video of my builds here in the next few days if I can get around to it. I’ve gone back and forth on the Wizard vs Sorcerer and whether it’s more suited to an elf or human. So indecisive I am.
I guess I'll just have to look at the professions whose skills don't collide with either of those since you can't decide. Otherwise I'll be creating my second character the night before and have no time for a training combat video. :)
Almost all the shields have in the top right a small picture of a man with a shield moving forward. So if you sucessfully block, you push the enemy back.
I'm pretty sure I always forgot I could do that when an enemy missed Nova (so much to remember). Though part of her job is to keep the enemy engaged so they can't get at our more squishy party members so it probably was fine. But I need to remember that, especially if I've got them against a wall so I can possibly cause some extra damage.
Natural armor is 3. Same for a human. Full plate adds 3 to give armor 6 but you are right. A 6 is needed in damage to hurt you then, though nova cannot wear plate.
I think I did it right when we played. Nova has +2 armor for a total of 5. So if she is hit with a critical hit (6 on the attack) she'll take the damage for any 5+ damage die. My brain is weird when I'm recording. Something will strike me as odd even though I already understand it. I think in the moment I was thinking you had to roll greater than the armor to damage. But you just have to roll the armor value or greater.
thanks for the video! I'm starting a new adventure and I created a necromancer vampire. I start also with a pre-finished hero but in this last case I haven't understood whether for the skills I can still refer to his class and race (like other created character) as well as his background card and whether he evolves like any other character created from scratch
I'm just getting into things and this is my first character so I'm not certain but I would think a pre-gen character would advance like any custom character for gaining and spending experience.
Too early for me to know. I've played 2 all day sessions and some solo of LoD. I've only created 2 characters and read through the rules of DUN. The plan is to play an evening and full day of DUN in a few weeks. I really like LoD and I'm really liking what I'm reading of DUN. We'll see how things work for me in action.
Thanks. I need to be better about jotting down the questions I have as they come up. There's one I have that I was thinking about making a video about. The extra actions that a Leader gets based on the number of characters. They can't be converted into movement actions, correct? They would just be for extra attacks, spell casts, etc.
Oh this is great to see
Subscribed for the adventures ahead

Nice, enjoy the system 👍

@ Put me down for an Elf Scout and a Human Wizard. I’ve weighed the pros and cons and that’s what I’m rolling with.

@UncleFloydWing read the engagement rules carefully. It is different to other games and adds a strategic layer to the game others miss

Yes you can
Which of the two games DUN or LOD do you prefer more?

If you need help with DUN, just ask
