    For the 1st time ever I have watched you paint the type of mountains I have wanted to paint for my husband for 3 years. We live in the mountains on the East coast and are among the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Thank you so much for this tutorial.

    Thank you very much for your landscape lessons. I've learned so much about painting mountains from your videos. Hope to continue teaching more various mountains and river paintings in oil. Your teaching is excellent ! I've started to paint again as a hobby recently after long years of absence due to my hectic professorship. Best wishes to you.

    Hi Len am excited and come from Germany. I've looked at a lot of Bob Ross before I found you. I am now retired and looking for a hobby and painting has always interested me what irritates me now but that all painters prime the canvas or take the Liquid White. Now I do not know how to start. I would be very grateful for an answer. All the best

    • @lenhend
      @lenhend  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Manuela - most artist canvas is primed when you buy it. I is white on one side. Just apply the oil or acrylic paint without any further preparation.
      If you need to prime a surface before painting on it you can use gesso or a good quality acrylic house paint.

    • @manuelahuber4592
      @manuelahuber4592 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Len Hend Thank you very much for the quick good answer.
      I paint with oil paints 😉
      if you also wet-in-wet would interest me if you would paint a picture.

    • @lenhend
      @lenhend  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All my paintings are done with wet on wet.
      Some of the earlier videos are oils.

    • @manuelahuber4592
      @manuelahuber4592 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Len Hend oh I have misunderstood something I thought you paint exclusively with oil paints. Of course you can not generalize that oil and acry. Sorry but that I am annoying

      Round hog bristle brush - not always available - a small house painting brush can be used.
