Smooth! You're enjoying the whole process of painting. Just perfect!
Your videos are a real joy to watch.
Fantastic! This turns out wonderful. I recently learned: Do not judge a painting before it's done. Several stages might look quite messy (also my own paintings), but in the end there's a wonderful picture.
Len mate ,you're a diamond bloke. I have learnt so much from your videos. I am just gutted I have only just come across you at 55 years old. God bless you!!
I love this, you have a real knack for laying down exactly what you need where. So bold and informative. Brilliant, and what gorgeous blue mountains.

Nice one, Len, I always learn something new. Thanks.
Before the trees the mountains and the lake could have been Loch Lomond I'm a Scotty in AU Great work Len I love your thinking out loud. Not many tutorials share so much. Then again maybe they haven't got your natural talent.
Thanks Maggie, I do not need to concentrate on my paintings - I do concentrate on what I say.
Have been painted in shopping centers and markets for 20 years so it's easy for me.

best tutorial panting vids I've seen, love the mix of the pallet knife and brush. your vids have inspired me to give panting a go. I've always loved it but never actually tried it. Just one question how much would it cost to get everything I need to start painting, the brushes, paint, pallet knifes, and so on.

· No it is an exercise to show how blue to red tones can give depth in a painting.
Ah, i see.
Apparently my paint is drying waaaaay faster than yours. When i add layers on top of my background it gets sticky like elmers glue and just smudges. Please help. Im using acrylics just right out of the tube.
Hard for me to say - maybe you need to put a thicker layer of paint first time or you have dry air, a fan can dry the paint too fast, try adding a drop of water, use a retarding medium to slow the drying.
Spray bottle can be handy but not on finished areas. Remember if you thin one clor you need to thin them all.
When i twiddle my brush it smudges and smears my background. There is something im just not getting that really hinders my progress
try laying the canvas flat, put plenty of paint on brush, drag the brush without holding it firm. If that gives you clean lines then you were holding the brush too tight, your canvas was too upright or possibly the paint is too runny to stick to the under paint - best to do it wet on wet.
@@lenhend thanks again sir for your reply. I have started dampening my brush slightly and has helped some. Im thinking my paint dries too quickly when i try to do mine as fast as you do yours. When you paint the background of your trees like a pthalo green is it better to let it dry completely before adding the details on top like a lighter green/yellowish green? My paint gets tacky very soon so that when i do try and add the nice finer details atop it, it just smudges the worst possible way. Ive noticed your paint seems to be a thinner consistency than mine. What type acrylics do you use? You are just amazing. You have become my favorite painter on youtube. Thank you so much for helping me out
Scoot - you do need to experiment with thickness of paint and brush techniques.
I use daler rowney or similar.
There is more info on my website - paintwithlen
Sir, you are like painting a landscape in 14 minutes

Lol len, i hear some type of bird or animal or someything in the background.. what is it?
possibly a parrot. but who cares? :D
Yeh - Could be anything - I do not film in Australia as there is a skydiving plane that spoils the sound but in Thailand all I hear is the birds - love 'em.
Len Hend Hi Len, how is your eyes? I red on facebook you had an eye surgery. Can we expect new videos soon?
oil, I think so... because it is slow drying.
wowwww
