I have dreamed of being able to paint a piece exactly like this (misty mountains) for so many years, after watching you do it and generously giving us your supply list I am really going to try it. it's so beautiful and you make it look so easy!
I tried it as a complete beginner and it worked! it's really not too difficult. It was easier for me to try it on A5 sheet first, just to get confident.
Thank you so much to show people very amateur like me some easy way to paint with acrylic. Mind you! My first painting was horrible! I will try to follow your steps. Thank you again and BRAVO!
I am SO impressed!!! This is what I always wanted to paint and wow there it is. The problem is I work with lacquer paints on overhead sheets but it ought to work the same way. Normally I never use brushes I use drinking straws cut into half as a pipette so I let the paint run in lines and use the effect they have on one another. But I guess I must use a brush if I want to do your trick. THANK YOU - I can watch it again and again
Color and colour both correct. Color is the preferred spelling in American English, and colour is preferred in all other main varieties of English. for example in Australia, COLOUR is correct.
Recently my Border Collie was in his final hour of life approaching the end , he lay on my Floor by my side I pulled this illustration up full screen and the Music , he looked as he put his Paw in my Hand , his Eyes where searching mine to forgive him ,,that he had to leave I stroked him and he faded to heaven Thank you for having this , I wanted the perfect ending of Life on Earth for my Companion of 12 yrs and you made it possible,,,God Bless
Wow! That was a very special thing you did for your beloved friend. Thank you for sharing that with me. It touched my heart. I am sorry for your loss. ((Hugs))
Omg this touched my soul, I started to cry, I’m so so sorry for the loss of your beloved friend, I love dogs and also lost a few, I have 2 now, they are the absolute best ever 💙
What type of acrylic paints are you using? Because I always find that acrylic paints are quite thick and harder to do things like this with, I mainly use them for texture, but I'd love to have some like these! Also, what brushes do you use?
G King For this painting I used DecoArt Crafter's Acrylic paint(all purpose acrylic). These are really cheap paints from the dollar store (Dollarama in Canada). I use these a lot because they are thinner. I do use other, more expensive brands in my other paintings as well....even then, I sometimes water those down a bit too, when needed. The brush is also from the same place. No name or size is marked on the brush, but I believe it's a Flat # 16(9/16") Thanks for watching! :)
AMAZING! I started watching closely, thinking, I CAN DO THT! Nope! I lost me! U are bllessed with talent! Love watching your paintings come to life! God Bless!
StudioSilverCreek Hey hun, I'm just curious. Would I be able to do this with greens or yellows? Or would that look gross as it gets darker? I want to go for a sunset look.
I think greens and yellows would look nice! Try out the colours on a scrap piece of paper to see if you like them. I've done this painting with shades of purple. It looks nice too. I have another channel where I've uploaded mini paintings (little 3" x 3" paintings to practice). I do a lot of paper crafts and painting on that channel too (more 'girly' style paintings). You are welcome to check out that channel if you like. :) Here is the link: th-cam.com/users/BeCre8ive2videos
StudioSilverCreek Thank you so much for the response. I wonder where I could buy the size paper or canvas you are using on your other channel for the mini paintings? I'd love to get some! I subscribed to your other channel as well and find it very inspirational too! Thanks so much! :)
You're welcome! Thanks for subscribing to my other channel as well! The paper I used for the most recent mini paintings were actually blank(no lines) index cards that I bought at Staples. Index cards are cheap to experiment with and you can store your mini paintings in an index card box. I sometimes use watercolour paper and cut it to the size I want.
Hey, loved the video! I want to do this kind of painting on a wall. Would you be able to give me some tips? As in what kind of colors should I use? Acrylic paints would worn out due to rains right? (Since its an outdoor wall). Please throw some light on this query if you have any idea. Thanks!
hey what is other name for watercolor paper.because when I ask for watercolor paper it is not available even in the biggest stationary store in our city
You gave me confidence❤ you are amazing! I keep practicing and practicing and I can never get it right but I saw your channel and I thought it looked so beautiful and creative I fell in love❤ thank you❤😍😊
I've been watching your videos these days and I have to say that I really really love your channel ❤ its inspiring and a beautiful piece of art too :3❤
I paint mostly on watercolour paper with arcylic paint...I only paint on canvases if I am selling them (too many canvases to store in my small space.). Watercolour paper is the most affordable and it can take all the wet paint just fine without tearing. Canvas paper and paper made for acrylic paint....but still , I'd rather just use watercolour paper. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for watching!

Reminds me of the Mountains where my Mom lives. ❤️
can,t create a natural softness each time I try acrylics, it,s paintings like yours that make me keep trying.
I am thinking of painting your version of a mountain range on the 12’ side of my tiny home. You’ve inspired me!
Your channel is mesmerising. I could sit and watch all these videos. It’s so relaxing.
This video was my gateway drug to acrylic painting. Thanks for the easy-to-follow video.
+Jimmy Hogerty LOL! Thanks! I happy you enjoyed it. :)
I like that mixing setup.

but not now
by the way...
I feel peace watching your calm drawings
why people keep spelling color wrong!?
Color and colour both correct. Color is the preferred spelling in American English, and colour is preferred in all other main varieties of English. for example in Australia, COLOUR is correct.

It’s beautiful. I’m going to have a go tomorrow 😊 thank you for sharing x
This is great! Beautiful! But are you using a piece of paper ?
Would there be any adjustments in the process if this were to be painted on a canvass as opposed to watercolor paper?
+Abrar87 Just make sure the canvas is primed with gesso.
bought a paint set terrified to use it lol, color theory as a sketcher is very intimidating.
so nice
