      @potatoes5829 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@egordo7262 consoles might not actually be cheaper, depending on how often you upgrade your pc because you need to pay subscription for online play.
      Assuming the average console costs $400, and the subscription cost $30/month:
      After 1 year of ownership: $30 x 12 (months) + $400 (console initial price) = $760 (a decent lower - midrange pc)
      2 years of ownership: $760 (previous calculation) + $30 x 12 (months) = $1120 (potentially capable of 4K)
      4 years of ownership: $1120 (previous calculation) + $30 x 24 (months) = $1840 (a very decent pc, definitely better performance than console)
      And heres the worst part: most people keep their pc for 2 gpu cycles (steam hardware survey). Gpu cycles are generally roughly 2 years each. And seeing that the gpus most people use are 60- series or 50- series ($150 - $300), the average pc player is SAVING money relative to playing on console.

I can point exactly where the nand, southbridge, Hana hdmi scaler and other things and I can tell the difference between board revisions. On the other hand I don't think most people who built or bought their pcs will ever really know their systems that well because you never really have a reason to since if the motherboard stops working you replace and throw the old one away, it's very rare for board level repairs to be done when a new one can be bought.

    PC is all about freedom. You choose your OS, game mods, use the internet for whatever reason, you can run android apps, emulators for ps2 ps3 etc.
    and let's not forget that we love multi tasking :P. You can draw, do 3d modeling, make games, use your pc for work.. and you also have the option to go high refresh rate 144+ and run a 4k resolution monitor (8k is kinda crazy even for a high-end pc tbh). That's why I don't understand when people say mobile or consoles can be as good as PCs.. (I mean, I've grown up playing ps1 and 2 but now I can play these games on pc too).

I just want to play FF7 Remake, God of War, and Spiderman. I haven't play those games yet because they're PS Exclusives. Fast forward today, when those games announced they ported to PC, I screamed "F@#&!!!". I feel like I wasted 2 years of waiting for not having a console and not building a PC. Last things I bought were a used gpu and new custom water cooling parts off of a buy and sell site. Just upgraded to a 3080ti and next generation I'm upgrading the cpu, motherboard, storage and ram. But I had a very different experience. In 2010-2016, games were graphically upgrading fast that moderate hardware at the time couldn’t handle them well. I had to upgrade my pc quite a few times. Initially I had gtx 710 then gtx 980 then gtx 1060. So I switched to a PS4. Games didn’t lag as they were optimized for a specific set of hardwares. Then when the Xbox series x came, I bought that and I’m quiet happy about all my decisions as I’m seeing my friends struggling to build a decent rig (which is not easy). An 800$ rig cannot play all modern games well, but a console can.
