- The Indian pilot shot down and captured by Pakistani forces this week will be released on Friday (March 1), Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan said as efforts to cool a crisis between the two nuclear-armed neighbours continued.
"As a peace gesture we will be releasing him tomorrow," Khan told parliament in Islamabad on Thursday (February 28).
Khan has already called for talks with India to prevent the risk of a "miscalculation" between their nuclear-armed militaries.

Honestly both sides need to have a honest and frank discussion on various matters as a cohesive relationship is not only good for the region, individual nations but for the whole world as Imran Khan is the kind of PM that Pakistan needs as possesses a significantly more western outlook on things and for the most part prior to all the recent events was thought of highly because of his cricketing exploits and I hope that it goes back to that as these two men can leave a lasting legacy if they accept the past and look to the past as people like me who are British of Indian descent and those who are of British Pakistani heritage get along like no one’s business and there are no unpleasant remarks ever made and that is how it should be.

I appreciate him but he is doing as per international norms but here there is no matter of war ,here we fighting against terrorism . Day before yesterday we eliminated few terrorists camps which were actively operating in Pakistan ,and didn't harm any civilian or army , but what I am surprised that why his army with 20 jets tried to retaliate on behalf of death of terrorists it shows Pakistan army is batting for terrorists organizations , we don't have any problem with common hard working people of pak but if the Pakistan based terrorists will again do we would again reach to other end of Pakistan to put them in sleep . Imran should thanks us that we are doing his own work

There is NO international norms that obligate Pakistan to release an enemy intruder into her territory that easy. Indeed, this pilot was shot down while executing harmful maneuvers deep into the territory of a sovereign nation. In this case, Pakistan reserves the right to punish him for his sinister intrution into the airspace. Luckily Imran Khan opted to set him free in good faith.
On top of that, the Geneva convention stipulates that waring states shall treat POWs under their custody humanely. You need to appreciate the noble gesture from Pakistan wholeheartedly.
vishwa ranjan imran khan offered to help investigate and deal w any terror with India but India ignored that and INTRUDED pakistan it doesnt matter if they hit terrorist camps or not they INTRUDED pakistan and that is why Pakistan felt the need to retaliate. The same way it is unacceptable to break into a neighbours house because you believe they stole something from you, it is unacceptable for India to intrude pakistan on their own without any consult or permission from pakistan
