Great review my friend! I just test driven one in the UK and I can tell you... me and my dad were Super impressed! Spacious, comfortable, smooth, stylish, modern, and most of all.... RELIABLE! Something I can hopefully pass onto my kids in 20 years time!!
First of all, great review. I really like the way you explain what this car really is, a dayli driver. Confortable, reliable, not a sport car. Doesn't have android auto, really doesn't matter. I bought a new one this year, just wanted to try it, never owned a hybrid, didn't know what CVT was. At first I missed gear shifts, today I will never buy another car. BTW this was my first toyota ever and it is like from another planet compared to german cars. Sorry to say, but this is a way better car then his europian rivals. Even mercedes.
A really good review, i am looking to buy a 4 year old one in England, its just such a rare car that it appeals on that basis just as much as the Toyota reliability. In terms of the review the only thing i would add is that it would have been nice to see the boot with the rear seats down from the back of the car, just to see exactly how big the whole space is, just nit picking though, any details on the sound system would also be good, i would have loved if the car had something along the Canton or HK or even better what Lexus has............. :)
I really love the car I have one like it in Wind Chill Pearl white. It is super quiet and buttery smooth and gets excellent gas mileage.. My previous car was a Honda Accord.
I really wish that the seats did have a memory recall. Every time I take it in for service or to get the oil changed, my seat is always in a different position and that drives me nuts. Especially when you get it in that perfectly comfortable position. I myself prefer black leather, but in terms of heat, the lighter leather is probably far more practical. I like the looks of the blue car with the black leather. Not sure if the 2020 model will come in that blue color. Also get some rim locks for your rims, because around where I live those will go quick, especially when you're parked in a random lot! But given the sheep, it looks like you live in a lot more relaxed place than I do. Great review!
One thing a lot of these reviews miss out on are whether you can get three kids across the back. A lot of people end up with 7 seaters for the individual seats
prm555 its a hard enough comparison as the 6 is quite an old model in comparison. No hybrid technology for example. Mazda is a fair bit thirstier also. The interior of the Mazda stands up well to it though and it’s a fair bit cheaper too!!
Great review, finally a decent looking Camry that matches the world class reliability. Such as shame there’s no estate version, that will hinder sales big time in Europe. I wouldn’t step down to a Corolla for an Estate Toyota. The Centre dash is the usual incoherent Toyota mess compared with the sleek exterior with the cheap screen and crappy buttons is typically Toyota’s Achilles heal, it’s no different on this Camry. This thing will last decades boot sounds emabrassingly rattle though, I mean like it’s held on with gaffer tape.
Great review Nobby 👌.. I had the last model the V6 3l and I've regretted ever having to sell it, like a good friend I think about it every day 😂. The missus would like a Second hand ct200 & I'm trying to talk her into getting a 2nd hand Camry. 🤞
@@NobbyOnCars yeah they have added some new cosmetic stuff along with apple car play and android auto. Ordered in November looking like March never I'll have it 🙃
@@NobbyOnCars hi nobby I'm referencing the upgraded version only launching in q1 this year. And also if you were spending this kind of money would you be looking at a Camry? Many thanks Stephen 👍
The Mazda 6 is generally my favourite saloon, though there are a few caveats to which model is best to buy Vs the best version I wish you could buy! Overall 6's are great cars and you can't go too far wrong with any of them though none of them offer the exact spec I really want... Firstly the biggest pity of the model is that when the "M3 lite" special version of the 6, the all wheel drive 2.3L turbo MPS which launched at the end of the first generation (only being on sale in 2006 and 2007), didn't sell particularly well, Mazda never made another one. Then not long after the second gen model launched with the government and manufacturers pushing diesels as being something magical, while there was never a time you couldn't buy a 6 with a petrol engine, you could only get one in the base spec with the mid and top specs being diesel only... Thankfully at the end of 2018 they started selling the mid spec with a petrol engine again, though the top spec was still a diesel. For about a year the petrol mid spec had black leather which would be my choice for an interior colour, however for a year or more since the specs were refreshed again, while the mid spec is thankfully still available with a manual petrol engine, it's only been offered with pretty garish burgundy leather, likely leftover from the 100th anniversary models (though in the U.K. they get a choice of four models, with black leather in one mid spec, with the burgundy leather in the other)... About a year ago Mazda finally got rid of diesel 6's , however while the top model was itself finally offered with a petrol engine, it's a by all accounts, rather lacklustre (PADDLE SHIFTING!) automatic version*! While the 6 should have received a fourth gen by now when the third gen launched in 2013 and had been constantly been refreshed since, when the 3 got a fourth gen in 2018. Lastly all 6's since the 2015 refresh have very annoying electronic handbrakes... So long story short, by default with the models that are currently available in Ireland right now, the best model to buy is the Humora with its' manual 165hp 2.0L engine (but I'd much rather have it in black leather)... But if I had a say in the models Mazda builds, the top spec would be available with a better tuned manual gearbox and engine, with all models having manual handbrakes with the sporty "bells and whistles" MPS still being available as the ultimate 6! (*When Cars Ireland reviewed the automatic only top spec, they said it was very nice overall, though they said its' paddle shifters were terrible and might as well only be there for decoration! Other saloons like the Passat, A4, 3 series, C class etc are fine, but most are dearer and I don't like them as much as the 6, even as much as its' specs aren't quite right 🤔😀🤘 .
Toyota have told me Apple CarPlay and android auto will be available in 2020 on the RAV4, it’s a joke IMO for a car at this price point not to have it in 2019 but fingers crossed Toyota will deliver on their utterances
Early days but liking it, nice finish on the interior, loads of space for the kids, it does make a lot of bongs and beeps, need to figure out how to turn them off 🤫
Order in July 2019 ... get it at 10th of January 2020 ... and ... what should i say ... I´m absoFUCKinlute HAPPY ... It´s great to drive a car like that ... under 6 Liters ... Here in Germany ... i´m not so glad with 180km/p.h. (195) but it´s FUN at the GAS-STATION ... ;) It dosn´t need 20.000 € more ... to get a Lexus 300 ... even it´s a great car 2 ... *The Camry is just fantastic ... that is really what i think ... and by the way ... ... ...*

Thank you for commenting Goran!
Great review. It's a lovely car. I can't wait to see one in reality.
Very nice car, especially with beige interior. Great review Nobby :-)
Great review bro...
Ho nobby can you do a review of the facelift 2022 toyota camry please? 👍
Just ordered the platinum edition one, same bronze brown colour with beige leather.... looking forward to it.
How long will you have to wait?

Its not far from Dublin City centre so you wouldn’t be wrong about the wheels!
Surely there are locking wheel nuts?
Good review...thank you
Well done Nobby another great review. Beige interior looks the best choice.
Nice one Barry!
Good detailed review there. I’m definitely a big fan of beige leather and would find it hard to go back to a dark interior after having several beige.
One thing a lot of these reviews miss out on are whether you can get three kids across the back. A lot of people end up with 7 seaters for the individual seats
Great review! How does it compare to the mazda 6 and which would you pick?

Got the camry platinum edition chuffed with it thanks for your help..
Have the refreshed again soon, looking forward to it
The back is actually my favourite side to look at 😅

Just tell her how cheap it will be to run :)
The Camry everyday over the CT. CTs have head gasket issues also.
Hi Nobby, how quiet is the Camry on a motorway?
Real cruiser. Very smooth and comfortable
@@NobbyOnCars but is she quiet inside on the motorway?
@@stevebodkin Very much so. The best way I can describe the Camry is that it floats (in a positive way).
@@NobbyOnCars I mean internally sorry and thanks
@@NobbyOnCars thanks man
Hey Nobby do you think is the new camry platinum edition worth the extra few Bob? Have 1 ordered.. love the videos btw
It's not the biggest stretch to it if I remember correcty? I felt it added some nice bits.

Can you do a review of the updated 221 camry by any chance?
Hi Nobby can you do a review of the updated 221 camry by any chance?
Hey Nobby is this the best in its segment do you think? Thank you in advance 👍
It’s a segment that is a bit blurred, if you believe it slots into a 3 series/A4/Mazda 6 category then it most certainly is.

Couple of motorway trips over the weekend Nobby and the Rav 4 is down to 5.8l/100. I will now stop boring you with my fuel consumption updates. 👍🏽
No it’s actually interesting to hear how much it has decreased by comparison 👍🏻
About 150 Kms of mixed driving done on my Rav 4 Nobby, 6.7 l/100 and tbh it’s coming down
That’s handy to know. The one I had was coming down alright but I seemed thirsty. How you finding yours overall?
Early days but liking it, nice finish on the interior, loads of space for the kids, it does make a lot of bongs and beeps, need to figure out how to turn them off 🤫
lane departure unless on a motorway usually goes off once I start the car.
The leather looks fantastic. But I'd be worried about keeping it that way .
They can always be brought back to original with a detail.
Wich is better...the camry or corolla
camry is a differnet class much better
@@ibanezr1 thanx
There's a 100% difference in a compact car and a midsize car with the favor with the midsize car..
RTE gold 😆, no plug for FM 104
Wtf were you doing in the RAV4 then Nobby ?? 9.7 l/100kms in that??? It’s the same feckin engine and powertain???
😂 I actually don’t understand. If anything, I was on faster roads in the Camry. 5 trips across the M50 in it but plenty of city traffic too.
That’s a quality machine no doubt it’s an es with a Toyota badge and that ain’t no bad thing
My concern is.... who's gona be driving? The driver or the passenger? 🤔🤔
£40k and no android auto or apple carplay media looks 70's. No wonder people go for Audi/BMW/MERC etc.
