    I’ve got this exact shed and built it in 2022. I’ve turned mine into a bar, 2-seater sofa, 1 large seater chair, bar, electric stove fire, 24” tv, lamp, HomePod mini, Keter shelving x 2 for beer glass and can collection. Going get Sky Stream in soon. I’ve just made it into a little sanctuary away from the house to have an hour of peace. Been a great shed tbh

      @@AZ-kh7np it does get cold in the winter. I’m not sure if it can be insulated. I’ve just got a small electric stove fire in there and on lowest temp it get’s it nice and warm and you can sit in it no problem.

    I had the same problem , but in the opossite way , with the top corner or roof . Lined up outside pattern first , but then had to move on last roof panel. Spacers OK and had 2 screws left. Took me about 16 hours to build on my own .

    Just built a Keter Newton 11x5. Had trouble with last panel, as you say plenty of screws, middle two panels look very slightly bulged and not sitting flat so screwed them down and now looks OK. Pretty good instructions, took me 3 days though as I was careful to follow them. Need to figure out how I can put a lock on the front doors. All ideas welcome👍

      I was thinking about the same thing (I am having a different model delivered today)
      I’m thinking about riveting a lock latch to the doors above the handle so u can put a pad lock. Obviously it’s not super strong but it’s really just to keep the kids out and secure the doors from opening in case they ever want to

    • @andrewhumphreys586
      @andrewhumphreys586 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Derkaramma I was putting it together when I thought the same but actually when you put the handle together it actually allows you to put a lock shank through it to secure it but you won’t see it until you fit it. Therefore it was rather easy in the end. Good Luck👍

    Mine is from 2019, still standing straight and assembled in no time.
    I have even dissasembled it several times and reassembled it in another spot, still waterproof, although I was sure it would start leaking

    Nice looking shed . Any issues so far ? Thinking of getting this same model . I like the fact you can paint the panels . Resin typically fades . Being able the paint it over time can give it a refresh.

      Ta, it's still holding together well, been through a long tough winter with no issues. Bit of moss low down on the panels, I'll jet wash that off soon. But it's stayed water tight and rodent proof. Good shed 😊

    I tried to make this shed on my own and everything went OK until I got to the roof part - the last panels just would not fit! I tried everything but nothing worked -ended up getting a tradesman who spotted the problem immediately - the panels have to be slotted and screwed together on the ground first and then the two are put on the roof together!

    The question everyone asks: What's the light running along the centre of the ceiling - it looks like the roof panels don't meet up in the middle :) Well actually it's a nice design feature - there is a translucent white plastic piece that runs along the ridge of the roof, to let light in during the day. It's just hard to see on my camera.

    • @zootius
      @zootius  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm, it doesn't have any specific ventilation AFAIK, but after 18 months stuff hasn't gone rusty or wet in there. Seems good, but does get hot in the sun.

  • @mikewileczka9852
    @mikewileczka9852 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Probably a stupid question. Is the middle of the ceiling open or is that a white piece of plastic for light?

    • @zootius

      Yeah it's a white translucent plastic spine for the roof that acts as a skylight.

  • @shivandya3345

    Hi. I'm not sure how or if I can add a picture so here goes. Anyone else see round markings on the outside of the roof, some of which actually have a hole in the middle? If so does it leak? Thank you

    • @zootius
      @zootius  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, there's no holes on the roof. It's kept very watertight through some bad storms over the last 18 months. No leaks at all.

  • @andrewfielden284
    @andrewfielden284 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great video thanks. Would you say this can be built straight on to a grass surface, or does it absolutely need a hard base?

    • @zootius
      @zootius  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry yes I think a flat solid surface is required because if there's any flex to the shed base, it will be conducted up the wall panels and make the roof impossible to fit. The roof panels really don't have much tolerance for imperfection.

    Hi. We've had a few nice days already. How hot (also cold) does it get inside? Can it be used ie as a play room for kids in spring/summer/autumn?

    • @zootius
      @zootius  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's not insulated at all, so will just be cold in winter. However the dark roof absorbs heat from the sun and on sunny days so far it was pretty warm inside. Will report back during summer.

    • @zootius

    Hi, could this be built on our artificial lawn? Very flat plus compacted hardcore base underneath!

    • @zootius
      @zootius  ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly I don't think it's a good idea. The lack of tolerance for flex means that you might have serious problems fitting the roof. At that point it would be a very expensive mistake.

    How would you rate the quality and ease of build. I'm thinking about a slightly smaller one for my garden

    • @zootius
      @zootius  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The quality is good and holding up well so far. No leaks. Ease of build is OK if you are able bodied, have somebody to help with the roof assembly, and have patience and time.

      I built most of mine on my own (60+ woman), having help only for the roof and doors. I had problems with the right-hand side too ( looking from inside) . Also being on my own I put the door frame together on the floor, then put it in place. It did say in the instructions to check the outside lines matched up on the triangular section! I'm very happy with it.

    • @zootius
      @zootius  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it would take a lot of work to make it comfortable to work in. The windows don't open, there's no adjustable ventilation. The walls aren't insulated, or built for taking shelves or electrical point installation. It's just a shed really.
