I could watch Matt build sheds all day. Badgers Bespoke Sheds Service is a business waiting to happen! 👍
Thank you John.
any chance you can show us the rain flow on the next video? keen to use these panels but not sure how the trims work with the rain. I also may use them for walls as well making a fully insulated room.
+1
This is great. Well done, filmed and explained. You’ve given me the confidence to attempt my first shed self build!
Yes I had the same thought?
Yeah would like to see how the rain runs off
Love the longer videos great work
fabulous, theanks for the inspiration
Came out great! Looking forward to the next one already. Awesome work, as always!
Thank you
You’re on a roll, Matt. You got that shed up so quickly, bet you can’t wait to start getting the stuff out of the house. Fantastic progress 👍🏼
Thank you. Will be nice to have the house back
Ace shed. Next door’s fence is a peach. You lucked out with that lad!
Very satisfying, a whole lot of diy progress...I enjoyed this!
Thank you
I just love your work Matt, so enjoyable to watch. Cant wait for the next video ❤
Thank you. Very kind of you
In your next video, can you explain how the peice of trim fits on the left side (if you are looking at the door). I cant get my head around it as i thought the water would have run that way.
Thanks for the content.
You make it look so easy! Good job Matt.
Thank you. I have built a few now
Great progress. Looking forward to the next episode :)
Thank you
Looking good Matt, loving that roof system. Regards Jim.
Thank you Jim
Hi. Great and very informative video alway a pleasure to watch. Thank you.
Thank you
Great video. Wish I'd found this roofing system when I built our shed - I made a frame, somehow got it up onto the walls on my own (very stupid, not recommended), then balanced on the sloped roof to board with OSB (also stupid and not recommended), then Black Jacked and felted it which was a horrible messy job.
Damn it! I'm juuuust about to start my shed build, I was all set on a "standard" roof setup: OSB, then [insert whatever waterproofing] and then I came across your video and you have this fancy instant roofing! And now I want it 😄
Nice Job !!
Thank you
Great video Matt. After watching that I genuinely feel I could do it myself and that’s saying something! 😀
Thank you very much
Looking good
Thank you
Great video thanks Matt 🍺🍺👍
Thank you
Awesome work, Matt! It's looking great already! 😃
Looking forward to the next steps!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thank you very much
Hi Matt, A new storage shed to go with last weeks door. It''s looking good this is going to be a good shed build I do love these sort of video's ,you cant beat a shed build.Take care mate👍
Thank you very much
Great effort working solo while filming 👏. Shed is looking mint 👍
Thank you
Turning out to be a dream shed. Those panels are great, they cost a bit though! Especially the 80mm ones. With that level of insulation you'll probably be able to leave your paints and glues out there all year round.
Well done you. Very impressed with roof Panels . Bob (Weston super Mare)
Thank you Bob
Joli travail,ça avance bien, bon courage pour la suite, à bientôt salut Jeannot ⚒😉
Thank you
This is a great shed that compliments your workshop, maybe another entry for Shed of the year?
The broom is genius!!!
It does work well
Hi Matt, the shed is looking terrific, you are luck to have two sheds, good luck with the remainder of the build, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia 👍👍👍👍
Thank you very much
It's great to see a realistic shed build, and not using a dozen 2x8 uprights for each wall.
Cheers.
Matt you area joy to watch! Not sure how the algorithm is tresting these longer form video’s, but I love them.
Thank you very much
Wonderful. It's nice to see that you do them slightly different each time. By the way, a Werner hop up would be well worth an investment.
Thank you very much
pretty clever roof system! Nice that it is insulated as well, my roof isn't and it has some condensation issues with certain types of weather...
Yes that’s definitely why I wanted an insulated roof
Brilliant - the roofing seems too good to be true, however, it’s about time a system like this was available 👍👍 when you talked about 3 sheets - ‘‘twas windy, so thought you might have had a tipple?? 😂😂
Hi Matt. As you have the door overhang parallel to the ridges, take extra care when you’re up there just in case that overhang is not capable of taking the weight. The load bearing capability of these must come from the rigid design of the metal top sheet. If you stand on your overhang it looks like you’re essentially standing of 80mm of PIR foam sandwiched between thin sheet metal. Made me a bit nervous when you accessed via the ladder. I’ve just used these panels on my garden room build. Fitting instructions were useless but I was saved by TH-camrs taking the time to explain.
20:01 oh my gosh, we can all get our own cans of black barn paint! I’m pumped!
Seriously, great job. I built a small shed on my property and really enjoyed the relative simplicity of it. Your shop and shed builds make me want to build another! You make it look easy!
sounds like fun game, an alternative to Satisfactory and minecraft and many other games
Hi , small tip in that you have overdriven the roofing screws , one the neoprene washer should not bulge out when you drive it down and can lead to leaks and two you shouldn’t drive the screw down so that the tin sheet deforms which can form a pool for water to gather in and again allow leaks
The hat gives it an ozzie vibe, nice work all done and filming meanwhile, lucky the neighbour was out to get the washing.
sadly no stilts were used ...
Thank you
Good job, is there a video on how you did the base?
No I did not film it
Looking great Matt , seen it used a lot in industry but seems ideal for your shed and definitely last a lifetime . Did feel a bit sorry for you poor old knees , so maybe some built in knee pads would be a good idea . Just don’t want you finishing up like me bless you . Kind regards as always . 😀👍👍👍
Thank you very much. I should have worn my other trousers
Nice. But do wonder why you didn't make the shed bigger?
Those panels look great. I presume the only reason they wouldn't be suitable for a workshop is if you needed to hang things off the ceiling?
On a sunday😮
Are you going to connect both sheds together?
Where does the water run off to.
There will be gutters
Very nice roof panels, but not something you'd want to put up during a scorcher I imagine. Interested for sure!
Yes I imagine they could be warm to work on
Your building style is quite different.
Video looks great, have you been mucking around with the colours 😊👍🏻
Thank you. I have
Hi mate nice job I thought for min you were going to lose your ladder when you were putting on the lapping 😮😮
Thank you
Did you use the 80mm or 137mm thick panels
you just need a linkway between the two sheds now :)
Would be tempting
@@Badgerworkshop I have to ask why you did not make the original workshop double the size and partition it 😁
Hey Matt, is your video directed by *Wes Anderson* ?!
Thank you for the content !!
Nice shed :) Having said that though a few questions. Why only 3x2 (seems a bit small dimensions) why such a large gap between the studs and no OSB cladding before the house wrap went on ?
Just here to acknowledge the Wes Anderson colour grading 🎉😊 Also, once the sun has stopped shining, how does the rain drain off the roof? Seems like the trim seals it from all sides somehow but that’s very likely just me not noticing something. Always quite likes the idea of these panels so forgive me if I milk you for all the good information Matt! 😂
Thank you. On the 4th side the trim is different
Cheers muchly :)
Those panels are pretty cool. Too bad they weren’t available to you when you built the workshop.
Yes they would have been great for the workshop
Whats the name of the wrap u wrap around your shed? Im really curious. I wanted tonused it on my off grid house. Im from ph thats why im not familiar with it. Hope u responds i did click subs by the way .cheers mate
Great job - are them roof sheets on the right way?
Yes they are
Should the roof panels be running the other way to allow rain water to run off?
Awesome. Did you get planning permission ?
Hi matt shouldn't the roofing sheets follow the pitch of the roof to allow the water to drain off?
Yes and they do
Where did you order the breathable membrane from? Thanks
Ok, I'll bite...which way does the roof fall? Where does the rain drain from?
Those roofing panels look like a great product Matt, it's a pity you didn't have them for the workshop build, it's going to be an excellent shed !
Btw, it never ceases to amaze me how many people have to tell you you've done it wrong, when they are incapable of paying attention to the video - I will be interested to see how the run ooff is managed though ! 🙄
Hi Matt, I have a question about the roof... do the panels have a slope built into them? you didn't appear to build a slope into the framing so I'm wondering how you created a runoff angle?
The roof is sloped
What is the angle you used as I thouht that roof was only good for >4 degrees?
Where do you get your carhartt gear from? Cheers.
Amazon I think
Nice work Matt! Those panels look good, shame they're so expensive. Also, you might want to check your colour balance (or go see a doctor), with those purple lips you're looking hypoxic.
Thanks
Matt, having watched this twice now, I'm pretty sure that those panels should run in the other direction...surely they will collect pools of rainwater, because there is no run-off?
The peaks run down hill
What happened to the 20ft tent/workshop ..
how does the water drain off the roof if the foam is stuck to the ends, surely you will get a pool that stays on the roof.
The foam is only at the peak of the roof
Really well done 👍 we love watching your videos ❤️
We did notice your lips were looking a fair bit blue/purple, so unless youve been sucking on an ink pen or eating one of those wierd blue sweets.....you definitely should get that checked out at the doctor's. Be safe and keep well. 👍
Thanks
It looks like your lot is maxed out for space, did you have to get council permission to build this?
You don’t need permission
Permitted development
why only screw the frames and not use glue as well?
There would be no need for both
Brilliant Matt. It's a pity you don't have any friends, would have made the job much easier but keep going
Thank you
Why aren't the ridges front to back instead of side to side so rain water doesn't pool on the roof?
They are! Try watching the video properly.
The ridges slope the correct way
Please don't mind me asking...but you don't put noggins in your stud walls? Not critising, just wondering why.
Looking good but didn't realise that you were such a Billy no mates actually if I lived up your way I would have popped round to give a hand,I'm sure that there must be someone up there that could give a hand now and then
Thank you
It’s so much easier to make the walls all same height and then just screw firrings down to your joists ain’t got to work out no angles nothing
Where is Keith?
Your roof ridges will trap the rain. Its 90 degrees out.
No they are not
I bet that you were popular/not with your neighbour, with their
washing on the line and saw dust coming over the fence, just saying!!!
You have put the roof sheets the wrong way round
He hasn’t. Watch again and listen.
Err, you installed the roof sheets in an 'interesting' way... The ridges are supposed to follow the slope. Something to do with rain 😳
They do follow the slope. Watch the video again and listen.
They do follow the slope
@@Badgerworkshop Yes, I see that now. Apologies and I will try harder 😁 Keep up the excellent videos!
