Today some upgrades for the Losi LMT. I'm fitting some machined aluminium axle housing from Treal hobby. They make some seriously nice hardware! These axles are beefy, strong and precisely machined. And to top it off: they look awesome! Oversized bearings and some sweet design choices, along with all new, comprehensible hardware make these a breeze to install and they add a lot to the overall feel and look of the Losi LMT.
I also painted the wheels. The tires are pre-glued on my roller, or any of the RTR versions and I decided that a coat of paint might change the look of them to what I want. A coat of primer from Tamiya, followed by an automotive gloss black and some Molotov chrome detailing sets things off nicely.
I painted the sponsor plates, and opted for some Traxxas sponsor stickers. Lastly I painted the headers, and made them look like they are heat aged. A simple, yet effective trick that adds a lot of realism.

im running dual losi d&d 2x2.6 tires on mine . after 10 axles i m using hpi savage axles with rpm a-arms . its the same set up i used 20 years ago and works great . i still have my bypass shocks from 05ish . tossed all the orings and polished the shocks and now run viton o rings and use fox shock oil

I recently purchased an airbrush, it's a 100% the best tool for detail work.
I bet it is! I’ve been tempted multiple times and I to this day love having to battle the limitations of cans. I know that sounds nonsensical, but it’s a puzzle that continues to intrigue me.

@@hemistormrc you know everything you say about shocks and setup, bump stops and travel straps are all there in the real world,! So why would it not be the same in a scaled down world to, all vehicles be it 1:10 or full size act and react, wear and tear the same! If not harder with the models.

Put some Treal gera on my RedCat AXE rig last year. Inner and outer Brass portal boxes and covers in front and rear brass protal boxes in the rear to even out some of the weight. It crawls quite good now, and the Treal gear was well done. perfect fit and no mucking around. Install and go.

I've been thinking about using the trial steering axle and mounting it in the rear you could have four wheel steering. Make it more like a real monster truck!

Great video The truck look super I think the axle are off the chart in style and the detail on the wheels is super cool. But for me I live in florida so cold temps is not a problem so I think I'll stay the stock axles and buy the plastic add ons. Thank-you

LOL, you should have got two front axles to go rear steer, also have you seen the more realistic J Concepts LMT wheel tyre combo. Maybe get the alloy 'C' hubs from Vitavon I believe on ebay
