At fifty-seven, I recall this very song, Halo Of Flies, as my teenage favorite by the original Alice Cooper band. I'm totally thrilled to find this recent live take, quite a spectacular performance, despite my nostalgia of the original set. Really glad the song should live on, not only in my heart but in that of Alice, by including that masterpiece of a musical piece (by Alice Cooper, Glen Buxton, Michael Bruce, Dennis Dunaway, Neal Smith), and in the heart of today's younger generation. Thanks for sharing. F Joly (France)
"Halo Of Flies" is still my favourite Alice Cooper's track. Amazingly performed, on both studio and live versions. But, of course, a masterpiece like this, originally released more thant 40 years ago, is something that not so many artists can achieve. Long live Alice Cooper!
Awesome!! I am 57 now and I gotta say that when I was a teenager, this was and still is, a favorite AC song!! This was the first Alice Cooper album that I heard . I had seen it in my cousin's house and put it on the record player as soon as I heard the first 2 songs I was hooked.
This is the most astounding best of the only best rendition of " Halo of Flies " that can sit at home with volume cranked and absorb the missed concert live
A great track from a great live act. Saw this band in Cardiff in 2007 ably supported by Joan Jett and Motorhead. Killer was the first cassette LP I bought back in the early '70'S......have loved Alice ever since.
probably the best live video I've seen of Halo. This song truly needs a keyboard part, but this one has it all; great video & sound quality, and the drum solo work is spectacular.
Alice has now and ALWAYS has put out the greatest talented Bands Ever! Just google all of Alice's band members over the years! It will absolutely amaze you! Eric Singer was drummer for Kiss for many years, Jason Hook is now with Five Finger Death Punch, Chuck Garrick is STILL with Alice after all these years!
Great performance overall with a few things I would have liked to have heard: (1) the quiet, tight little snare roll at the end of the drum solo leading to the next section and (2) keyboards.
Alice's daughter Calico dancing in the act reminds me of when I was in Lip Service. We did a song called "Radio Play" and the lead singer would have his younger sister crawl onto the stage on all fours and worship at his feet. I made no secret about how I felt that it was just a bit too creepy for my sensibilities. I mean, everyone knew they were brother and sister. Eeeewww...
I got the answers to all of your questions if you've got the money to pay me in gold I will be living in old Monte Carlo and you will be reading the secrets of soul Daggers and contacts and bright shiny limos I've got a watch that turns into a lifeboat Glimmering nightgowns poisonous as cobras silencer under the heel of my shoe The elegance of China they sent her to lie here on her back But as she deeply moves me she'd rather shoot me in my tracks And while a middle Asian lady she really came as no surprise But I still did destroy her and I will smash halo of flies I crossed the ocean where no one could see and I put a time bomb in your submarine Goodbye to old friends the secret's in hand with phonied up papers and counterfeit plans You never will understand
By no means do I intend to disrespect the musicians in this band. But.... I liked the original Alice Cooper Group better. They were...."different". Not better, by any means. But more enjoyable. Also, Alice's current line-up of Glen Sobel ( best freaking rock drummer going today in my opinion) , Chuck Garric on bass ( was in this line-up too) Tommy Hendriksen ( Guitar), Ryan Roxy (Guitar), and the stunning and superb Nita Strauss ( Guitar) is the most accomplished and dynamic rock band there is right now, again, in my opinion. Alice has always had plenty of talent around him. The original band was indeed original in every aspect of the term, and they wrote, or helped write the best songs to come out of the Alice Cooper repertoire. The "Welcome to My Nightmare" assembly of players was also a collection of virtuosity. Gee... think I might be a fan?
One of my favorite AC songs. I just wish the bass player would have played Dennis Dunaways part more accurately even though he’s a good bass player and played the song well.
he was in black Sabbath for a while before joining kiss for the revenge album, initially covering for a terminally ill eric carr, then joining the band full time from 1991-1996 then again from 2004 - present. Fun fact: ever seen the video for god gave rock n roll to you? what you're listening to is Eric singers drum track, but watching eeric carr don a wig and appear in the video and contribute vocal harmonies.
It's good but still nowhere as great as the original album version. I realise it would be near impossible to duplicate the original perfection but this one doesn't come close. They have chopped it down and the instruments are not balanced to each other. Drum solo amazing though

not quite the same w/o Michael Bruce' keyboard work. Current 3 guitar lineup still can't come close to the original.

OMG...I just can't believe I'm listening to this mysterious, iconic, strong song again! After some...46 years?!

Killer was one of Alices best albums and this song stood out
hard to even describe the effect on a 16 yo when LITD & Killer were brand new
Great. Just. 9gre
Great just great
Also the Billion Dollar Babies album.
I love how that song is built.:^)

Killer version!!!!
Saw AC perform in Ventura, Ca in 2007 with this lineup. And Halo really stood out.

Love the wah! Nice touch!
EXCLNT--- I did this with a cover band in 1974
outrageous and insane the way rock should be
He mine favorite forever 😍🥰
Fantastic entertainer.
Mind blowing. Eric singer !!
Awesome thanks Alice Cooper
Best Alice song of all time right here.
I tortured the f out of my parents playing this and tons of other AC back in the 70's, on a little cassette player.
Recognisable.... !!

Would love to see a video of the original A.C doing my all time favorite A.C song, but this was very good.

Love...crazy lovy.
😲😲😲😲Increíble
The best of live the great solos alive cooper
Great Showman ! Drummer never quits ✓ The Coop ✓✓. ♦️. Love it to death ☠️
"Я в восхищении" Alice Cooper
Louder!
Neal Smith? He's been selling real estate in New England since the '80's, but he's still active in music.

agree. The original were absolutely above all else, and all redoes with Alice Cooper are great. Glen Sobel is a stunning drummer.
Eric Singer is best known as the drummer for KISS
Is there a full concert to go with this? Would love to see it
Jason Hook !
Our Parents didn't get Alice at all did they did they? we kids got him at 13..Hard hearted Alice
Keri Kelli is the best!
fucking ace

Where can i see full concert im from romania
I wanna know too.
Can you please post the original album version?
Not a patch on the original
I , as an Alice Cooper fan since the early '70's, have only one question.
Was Eric Singer a good drummer?
I think Eric's performance in this video answers your question.
he was in black Sabbath for a while before joining kiss for the revenge album, initially covering for a terminally ill eric carr, then joining the band full time from 1991-1996 then again from 2004 - present. Eric Singer isn't only a good drummer, he's one of the best
do you got any other songs?
fuck yeah stefan Pang like mycket
How good is Eric Singer when his playing isn't restricted
UAU ψ(`∇´)ψ
It's good but still nowhere as great as the original album version. I realise it would be near impossible to duplicate the original perfection but this one doesn't come close. They have chopped it down and the instruments are not balanced to each other. Drum solo amazing though
Dracula Country for Alice.
Who is the women?
Calico Cooper, Alice's daughter.
Pales in comparison to the original ACG imo. They arent even playing the right notes! lol
Eric Singer is far too good a drummer to be in KISS!
He's by far a superior musician
Never as good as the original band
He was better before he kicked the booze and found Jesus. Empty suit. Or leather pants, whatever.
fucking ace
