I was there, and told you can't miss Alice, he puts on an amazing show. He totally did...Then he covered this for fun. I don't care what age/decade/genre you are from...He rocked it and pleased the crowd. That show was the shit!!!!
I've been following Alice Cooper since the 1970s, and I declare, the man's voice sounds just as it did when he sang "I'm 18," way back then. Wow ... just wow!
It helps that he keeps his lyrics in a reasonable vocal range, unlike say, Steven Tyler or Meatloaf who have shredded their vocal chords over the years.
Alice is my all time favorite performer. Gaga is the only performer I've seen who puts on a show even approximating Alice. This is a great song by Gaga and a great interpretation of it by Alice. Orianthi's playing is the icing on the cake!
I wish Alice would get somebody to touch up the audio to this and then put it on amazon and itunes as a live single for download. I'be watched this video about 30 times just to listen to this song.
this kicks ass.. what I really liked is that Alice seemed to be having a great time doing it..doing the unexpected is what Alice lives for.. and this is an example.. I just wish it was in HD like it was from the Bonnaroo website last night
bthere100 I was blessed enough to see him sing Elected in an All Blacks Jersey. This was during the 2011 Rugby world cup. His show was on the same day as one of the major games.
The girl is Orianthi, amazing guitarist was picked by greats like Santana and Michael Jackson. Cooper's other guitarist are Ryan Roxie (joint lead with Orianthi) and Tommy Hendrickson (rhythm). Chuck Garric is on bass and Glen Sobel on drums.
TO EVERYONE WHO HATES THIS VIDEO... JUST POSTED BRUTAL PLANET PERFORMANCE FROM BONNAROO. PUT YOUR PITCHFORKS DOWN AND DON'T GO SETTING YOUR NEIGHBORS CAR ON FIRE!
If you can go onstage, do your thing, have fun, be crazy, and STILL sound good, you have a future. No matter what music is majorly accepted. Alice Cooper had, has, and will always have a future.
LMAO/My 14 year old daughter found this. She told me it was Lady GaGas song and he was doing it all wrong.Had no idea it was hers,I will stick with Alices version, pretty cool
Nice job Alice . I loved how you reworked this song . Orianthi is so damn amazing . I love girls and guitars and girls who can really play guitars . There's nothing hotter.
I love Alice Cooper and Lady Gaga, so when I first heard about this I wasn't sure how it would mix. It's pretty gosh darn awesome, great job Mr Cooper, can't wait to see you live again!
Brilliant encore. I knew I heard the tune somewhere before, but wondered for the first 30 seconds if it was a deep track from Alice giving a nod to disco.
I was actually taken aback when he sang "when I was young" instead of "when I was hatched." I've listened to the Lady Gaga version, don't get me wrong- but I've listened to much more Yankovic than Gaga.
For some reason this is my most viewed video on youtube for several weeks now. It is so very catchy. The rythm is good. The song is good. The guitar play is good.
I admit I come from 1993 and Alice is a Legend. I adore his songs and I love that the songs are so addictive. Alice would have to be one of my favorite singers. I would love to meet him.
Alice doing Born This Way , epic . I find this in relation to the psycho Alice does on stage both funny and terrifying . Only Alice can make you laugh and scared at the same time . Keep on rockin' Alice .
alice i owe u my life u have done awesome music and ur music has bought energy n life anto my life if it wasnt for u inspiring me i have turned my life around just by listening to ur music thanx alice cooper i bow down to u :)
Orianthi she is so astounding. and the bands she's been playing with. If she isn't living the dream then I dont know what the dream could possibly that would be better.
haha awesome i grew up with alice. my dad took me to see him when i was 12 back in 2000. love him. and i love gaga. seeing gaga in sydney next weekend. Alice you legend!
O.O I'll say he still knows how to shock the audience. Not sure what I think of this, but honestly some of the lyrics are suiting for him. What ever still love the man's music he rocks!
Gaga loves Alice,i read or heard somewhere,so she'd be over the moon he did this.Kesha and now doing this,Alice loves to stir us up huh:):) and we LOVE him for it
Omg I love his songs and I was born in 1993. He is one of my favorite singers and I agree with a lot of people that grew up with his songs, he is a ledgend :)
If only he did this in a studio album, this song would be epically awesome. All in all a great cover, like it even more than Lady GaGa. It's pretty amazing Alice Cooper is still rocking it.
I'm not a huge fan of Gaga's music, but I find her very inoffensive, because her message is pretty clearly one of tolerance. I've listened to Alice Cooper for years, and consider them as much a part of rock/metal history as Zepplin or Sabbath or anyone else you care to name. I've occasionally wished for an album of teenybopper songs covered by metal bands, and this was as fun as I expected it to be. However, the best part of this video for me is that I hadn't heard of Orianthi before.
it doesn't matter if you love him, or if you love H.I.M. oh yea... my mamma told me when I was young we were all born superstars she rolled my hair put my lipstick on covered up all my scars ain't nothing wrong with you she said, He made you perfect babe so hold your head up and you'll go far listen to me when I say I'm beautiful in my way cause God makes no mistakes I'm on the right track baby I was born this way don't hide yourself in regret just love yourself and your set I'm on the right track baby I was born this way now listen, called myself alice surprised my dad he just didn't understand I wore my make up I acted bad but it was just all part of the plan to be a freak is not a sin there's nothing that they can do cause there not living in your skin now listen when I say to you I'm beautiful in my way cause God makes no mistakes I'm on the right track baby I was born this way don't hide yourself in regret just love yourself and your set I'm on the right track baby I was born this way I'm beautiful in my way cause God makes no mistakes I'm on the right track baby I was born this way don't hide yourself in regret just love yourself and your set I'm on the right track baby I was born this way come on Oria..
#alicecooper, I gotta say, that must be the best tshirt I've ever seen you in. #Orianthi's solo ROCKS, TOO! I reckon she might have played that one before, which means Orianthi must be a #ladygaga fellow angel, to know this song so well and play it so enthusiastically, and that lines up with #tommyhenriksen's Van Alienism, #chuckGarrick -uda's beastie of bourbonism, and with all these compassionate rockstars surrounding you, All Seeing Dark Majesty, I am hoping my undeniable failings to interpret signals might be given lenience. So too, Sire, I was hoping my refusal to give up might be looked upon, not as infuriating donkey obstinacy, but as the type of passion/commitment the industry needs. I just happen to have insecurities and physical limitations which cause me to doubt myself. I was Born This Way, Too. So pray, keep them "Believe, Thee, Minion, It Will Come To Pass, and Not Be Cut Off At It" signals flowin', huh? I AM THE SAXTRESS STARRING IN YOUR BAD DREAMS. IT TRANSLATES TO DOLLARS FOR EVERYONE EXCEPT THE SAXUAL SERVICES PROVIDER. THINK ON'T, MAJESTY.
As if I needed another reason to love Alice Cooper. So awesome.
I was there, and told you can't miss Alice, he puts on an amazing show. He totally did...Then he covered this for fun. I don't care what age/decade/genre you are from...He rocked it and pleased the crowd. That show was the shit!!!!
To anyone saying that Alice is homophobic, watch this
I've been following Alice Cooper since the 1970s, and I declare, the man's voice sounds just as it did when he sang "I'm 18," way back then. Wow ... just wow!
wtf! i just was telling my co workers today the same exact thing talk about da ju vu! anyway I'm seeing him 2morrow in Kalamazoo,mi!!
It helps that he keeps his lyrics in a reasonable vocal range, unlike say, Steven Tyler or Meatloaf who have shredded their vocal chords over the years.
so true saw him in concert for the first time in 73 and his voice is pretty exactly the same
I never cared too much for Lady Gaga's version, but this version, I .... "Love it to Death!"
I see what you did there
E. Dean Thomas Gaga version is better but this is pretty cool
gaga >
OMG then you must see I perform this way by weird al. Soooo 👍
These two are very similar performers. It’s well known that Lady Gaga is a big fan of Alice and Alice is of her work. Love this.
They should make a collab someday, for sure!
wow in my opinion even better than the original :)
Alice Cooper Fan forever
+soso.ski king fan The only thing that would make this version better is if Alice would have sung the Weird Al lyrics
good joke considering he can't sing at all
it’s not
Alice Cooper is freaking awesome!
I was there. It was all sorts of awesome!
Wow! Wicked band!
The guy at 4:28 represents how everyone should be at an Alice Cooper show.
Had goosebumps watching him perform this song!!! Amazing!!!!!!!!! Be proud to be a 'freak'
I am in Abilene Texas the rednecks will get over it
this kicks ass.. what I really liked is that Alice seemed to be having a great time doing it..doing the unexpected is what Alice lives for.. and this is an example.. I just wish it was in HD like it was from the Bonnaroo website last night
if i ever get to see this guy live, i can die happy ^_^
He puts on a show you will NEVER forget. Take my word for it. ^^
He still the best live act I have ever seen perform. Awesome!
bthere100 I was blessed enough to see him sing Elected in an All Blacks Jersey. This was during the 2011 Rugby world cup. His show was on the same day as one of the major games.
natasha wilson My husband got us tickets for our 29th wedding Anniversary. Go get a ticket !!!!!!
I saw him 3 times in concert
Alice Cooper is one of the greatest performers of all-time. It doesn't get any better than Alice.
I was born this way to love Alice Cooper!
I love how 60+ year olds can still be amazing rock stars even today. So awesome.
"Come on Orianthi"....HOLLY SHIT!
WHOA! I can't believe I like this so much Alice makes anything better!
Awesome, Orianthi has been a great addition to the band. She can flat out play.
The best version ever of this epic song. TU Gaga!
Sweet. Alice Cooper doing a Lady Gaga song.
As a mega-big fan of both Lady Gaga and Alice Cooper I just gotta say I mega-loved this!!! They are both great musicians and awesome entertainers.
I go to Bonnaroo every year and this is one of my all time fave performances!!!!!
I'm with ya!
YEAH! we, the Gaga fans want the duet: ALICE & GAGA. Rock on!!
Even in this day and age Alice always finds the perfect way to shock people, not sell out, but shock and awe an audience! Bravo Mr. Cooper, bravo!
Love the guitarist! Alice always gets the best talent!!!1
Alice Cooper dropped a mad rap verse during that bridge
A legendary rock star not minding covering a song by someone half his age takes pure class. Lemmy was like that too, RIP.
awesomeness pure awesomeness
TO EVERYONE WHO HATES THIS VIDEO... JUST POSTED BRUTAL PLANET PERFORMANCE FROM BONNAROO. PUT YOUR PITCHFORKS DOWN AND DON'T GO SETTING YOUR NEIGHBORS CAR ON FIRE!
If you can go onstage, do your thing, have fun, be crazy, and STILL sound good, you have a future. No matter what music is majorly accepted. Alice Cooper had, has, and will always have a future.
Great cover! Love seeing Orianthi shredding away on it too! Alice is *STILL* the man!
LMAO/My 14 year old daughter found this. She told me it was Lady GaGas song and he was doing it all wrong.Had no idea it was hers,I will stick with Alices version, pretty cool
troy custer LOL she isn’t wrong, he did do it differently but when people do cover songs they usually put their own spin to it 😊
Rock on and stuff....
Nice job Alice . I loved how you reworked this song . Orianthi is so damn amazing . I love girls and guitars and girls who can really play guitars . There's nothing hotter.
I love the change..."Covered all my scars."
Yes, I agree the changed lyrics are way more fitting coming from Alice.
I love that Alice Cooper is best friends with Lady Gaga.
I love Alice Cooper and Lady Gaga, so when I first heard about this I wasn't sure how it would mix. It's pretty gosh darn awesome, great job Mr Cooper, can't wait to see you live again!
"Called myself Alice, surprised my dad...."
YES!!!!
We really need this as a studio version
This needs to be recorded in the studio! I love it!
Brilliant encore. I knew I heard the tune somewhere before, but wondered for the first 30 seconds if it was a deep track from Alice giving a nod to disco.
Love your version. Would love to see it in London later this year and I hope you bring Orianthi
Totally agree. I also keeps coming back to this one.
2:40-3:06 officially in love with Orianthi
hehe, I truly love Alice, but weird Al's version stays my favourite
They're friends! Check out the cover of 'Come Together' they did with Steve Tyler. So awesome :)
I was actually taken aback when he sang "when I was young" instead of "when I was hatched." I've listened to the Lady Gaga version, don't get me wrong- but I've listened to much more Yankovic than Gaga.
Love this. As a fan of Alice and GaGa, this is awesomeness.
Love to hear a refined studio cut.
Btw catch his radio DJ'n I love it.
For some reason this is my most viewed video on youtube for several weeks now. It is so very catchy. The rythm is good. The song is good. The guitar play is good.
This is quite possibly the most epic thing I have ever seen.
Love this version. So badass.
I admit I come from 1993 and Alice is a Legend. I adore his songs and I love that the songs are so addictive. Alice would have to be one of my favorite singers. I would love to meet him.
What the crap. I live an hour away from where Bonnaroo is where was I??!
Alice doing Born This Way , epic . I find this in relation to the psycho Alice does on stage both funny and terrifying . Only Alice can make you laugh and scared at the same time . Keep on rockin' Alice .

I think this is awsome, I am a fan of Gaga and to me is speaks volumes that Alice Cooper would do a cover of one of her songs. I love it.

this is so awesome! simply that!!!
I just have to wait two and a half minute for some stupid ad. I do not mind U2be having ads - but not two and a half minute!

Well Orianthi did an amazing job on this video
