Just bought this to my kids.... my first Nintendo was the NES (yes, I'm that old) ... it was so straightforward back then.. insert the cartridge to the console, press the power button ... press the Start button and that's it. Now you need a Phd in game consoles to start playing a simple game.

Haha I was born in '89 and played NES and SNES like my life depended on it growing up. Went to 64, skipped GameCube and Wii because I have been a PS user since 1 came out. I have recently decided to pass the time by playing Switch instead of going out spending money drinking lol! I adore this machine. Got it yesterday! You can hold it in your hand and play your games on the go, link multiple players for battles, racing and co-op but how east it was to dock it and make it use my screen, detach the controllers and lock back and play on my 75"...holy MOLY its amazing! You can play NES, SNES, Genesis, 64 and all that right from this little device. In your hand or on your TV. Just plug it into the dock (make sure ots connected to TV) and blingg! MASSIVE Super Mario World and Link to the Past. Remember sitting close to the small screen huge body TVs and rocking out? This is such an enhanced experience and we can relive the nostalgia while enjoying modern tech. I love it, you'll get used to it, it's as simple as a phone!

Good video but you can't really call it a "complete beginners guide" when you don't go through the accessories, and the charging. Also, three different times in your "complete beginners guide" video, you stated something along the lines of "I'm sure everybody already knows" and skipped that section! No, not everybody knows, because they may actually be *complete beginners* which is why they come to this video. But again, good video and thank you, but not a *complete beginners guide* at all.

Please note: After having it for 2 1/2 years (take my friend for instance, which I can't say his name, lets just call him Toby)
So toby he had his V1 2017 model for 2 1\2 years and joycons take some effort to go off. I didn't mind since it was my first experience with the console. I'm now getting this and if I'm good at math the oled had 64gb internal storage. And if I'm right, I have a 64gb SD card. If this was the lite or v2 I would have 96gb because those models have 32gb.
Now since this is an oled I'd have 128gb storage but since only 5gb of the actual number is for system preference, I'd have 118gb of system storage. Now if you only had 32gb card it would be 96g. But if its the oled then you would have the same amount.
Your welcome for this hopefully helpful tip!
Remmber: if you have 200gb SD card then add that to the storage on the system minus the amount that you'll need for system preference. The number stays the same regardless if the system could hold 64GB and you had 200gb card lying around or the other way around.

Had my switch for 4 days it's great but none of the megadrive genesis games I like are in the catalogue ( I paid for a year) also like just now I have it on charge there seems to be no way to know what the charge is while it's charging unless you turn it on. Now this is a problem for me as I don't like to turn my phones and stuff back on until I know the charge is 100 percent. Other down side is the sound quality is really tinny. I found a bit I add bass but the overall sound was just lower. That's the negatives I come across. But I do love it and enjoy being able to play some of the games Iove on the go. Just a shame I can't Have every game I like on the go. Desert strike, jungle strike, urban strike, alien 3 and Bart Vs space mutants. If I got all that on my switch that's every game I love except perfect dark and goldeneye but goldeneye is meant to be coming. But starting suspect that was fake news.

@@memes...8700 the video is very nicely done and informative, but the guy uses the phrase "go ahead" waay too often, it's a bit funny.
