The problem isn't the influencers and their choices. We as consumers need to ask ourselves. Do we really want this stuff, or are we being influenced to buy???? I learned this the hard way. I used to buy everything I saw influencers get for free. Until I realized that they were not even spending their own money. 😂😂😂 When I decide to buy; I only buy when influencers are not promoting sponsorship stuff.😊😊😊
I've collected things over the years and all it did was cause stress, waiting for the next release. Now I don't collect anything and I'm so much happier. Having your 5 fragrances is a little luxury to you and people forget all these things are luxuries. I also don't use Facebook or Instagram which i feel contributes to having a better life 😊
Growing up (90’s) my mom had 2 signatures perfumes. One for everyday and one for dressy occasions.

My scents for the past 8 years. Started with Daisy - my summer scent
Flower bomb - all time fave
YSL Mon Paris - night time fall
Lancome - summer/spring
Chloe - when I'm feeling mature lol
Same in our household
We hand wash dishes at least 1 a day
Wiped down counters daily
Sweep daily
Mop weekly
No shoes inside the house
Laundry maybe 3x a week
Fold as I go daily or weekend whatever I didn't finish folding
Sheets washed weekly
Bath towels used maybe 3x
Use hand towels for hands for less waste (replaced once or twice daily
Everything has a home in our house - kitchen appliances etc.
I love my minimalist and simple life. (I still love workout clothes and purses but that's ok)
I save time and money. I don't have clutter and it's been such a peaceful life for 7 years now ❤

Totally can relate to this posting. As a human I fall for marketing,so the only solution is to not shop on line or watch influencers. However, every time I see your coffee cup from H&M, I wish they would re-release this model. ❤

Unfortunately I, too, got influenced to buy a lot due to YT and regret wasting so much money. But if not for YT, I wouldn’t have learned about minimalism which has been so life changing!

You make me reevaluate what I need and don’t need. I think you have to have a balance. Decluttering is hard work. It’s difficult but rewarding. As a libra, I’m constantly like this. 😊
Something you could do with seasonal items is either get small sizes (15ml) that you would get through in one season or rotate. I often put away my winter wardrobe during summertime, plus any oudy smokey perfumes that don't make sense in blazing sun. This way you don't get overwhelmed as much as a minimalist and manage your collection per season.
I like that you share your thought process as you go. Yesterday you thought five, now you think six. Its very cool.

I really want to keep only a few perfumes. I just can’t seem to decide which to give up. It’s weird because up until 3 years ago I only ever had 2 Perfumes and maybe 2 BBW body sprays. This is inspiring. I think it’s weird that I have so many, I’m not an influencer or fragrance expert. 😆

I personally like this new direction you are taking. I only have 5 fragrances and also struggle to find a freshie I like, but I fell in love with Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom & Honey (that became my 5th perfume)

I have around 5 full size perfumes myself + around 10 small tester ones and I'm not even a youtuber. My income is at best "decent". I don't find it extreme. It is what it is. Minimalism is subjective. Who cares about what everyone thinks? It's your life and you do what you want and what's best for you. You shouldn't feel like you need to justify yourself because I learn the hard way that no matter how much you explain yourself, people that want to hate will hate anyway. It's just how trash people portray themselves when they refuse to listen and just judge for no reason. So, don't worry!

No don't think or feel like that, I see the journey you are on and it is okay too figure out what you need on your journey, some times we first know what we need when we are in the situation.
Don't be afraid to change or add too what you want.
It's only perfume or dead things.
It's in the human nature too wants to change in some way.
It is healthy too work on yourself.

I only have one perfume! The only things I like to have backstock for is toilet paper, toothpaste, soap etc. Started after the 2020 debacle 🙃
I feel overwhelmed now that I have bottles I haven't touched. I don't wear perfume everyday. Try new scents but don't impress by them like my old perfumes. 5 is enough that you'll have different things to change for different occasions but still have signature scent. Ppl don't know what is your signature scent anymore if you own 100 perfumes. A full bottle is satisfy to look at but you don't need that much unless that's not a scent you can wear often. Try having samples, decants and put them in a box. Save your money for food, medicines, healthcare and traveling,... Sometimes having too much can cause anxiety. I love minimalism but perfumes is my weakness, I have to learn how to control myself.

Maybe the jo malone peony and blush suede is a nice summer perfume...and theres is also a new chanel gabrielle l eau perfume on the Market.
I started getting the sample because it seemed my collection was too large. If it went with my personal pheromones then I’d get the bigger bottle. The only one I recommend is Creed.

I literally have 5 perfumes and think its way to many. I want two and maybe a mini to keep in my purse because sometimes I run out the door with my kids and realize when everyone is strapped in that I didn’t put any on.
