ok this was an absolute nightmare to assemble back... had to slide 2 bars under the panel so the buttons are facing down and are not pushed at all by the table... also if your buttons get stuck for no apparent reason, check the gold metal bracket in that button contact... it's probably not reclining against black plastic pin anymore, so shove it back

If you click on the button and you dint have a response from the unit, its the module, if you have a crack on the button, then the button is the problem

How do we know if it's our buttons that are broke or if our actual control module unit itself is broken?
If you click on the button and you dint have a response from the unit, its the module, if you have a crack on the button, then the button is the problem
