Reacting to Lunatic Soul - Cold All rights and music: Lunatic Soul, Mariusz Duda, Jake Fried, Kscope Buy this beautiful music here: itunes.apple.com/gb/album/wal... Original video: • Video
I absolutely love the whole discography of Lunatic Soul, especially this album. To me, Cold even is one of the "weaker" songs, because there are masterpieces on this album: "Gutter", "Shutting out the Sun" or "Walking on a Flashlight Beam" for example.
Mariusz Duda... Poland's national Treasure. Love the first 3 Lunatic Soul Records. This Band definitely need some Attention, in my humble opinion. This Guy for me is a Genius. And btw... The perfect Albums for this Time of the Year. Autumn... Fall... Darkness... Cold Day's... Reigning... A warming Fireplace... That's it what is to find in his Music. And so much more...
I found this guy 3 days ago after Spotify decided to play Navvie as a recommendation once my Porcupine Tree playlist finished....for once I can say Spotify algorithm got it right. I've been binge listening from morning to evening on the way to work, all day at work, and on the way home! I can't believe how underrated this dude is, a musical genius indeed. So many of his songs just hit the spot.
If you like Cold then you will love Gutter from the same album. There are many other tracks of the same standard on the album Walking on a Flashlight Beam. Fractured was his last album and there will soon be a follow up (mini) album called Under the Fragmented Sky released on 25th May.
I love music videos where they show something else than people singing, this one is very trippy, one doesn't watch this while doing drugs or drunk. Even in a normal sober state, my eyes are f** up after concentrating on all the changing imagery in the video, and one needs 2 pairs of eyes, maybe 3, to watch you, read the lyrics and watch the music video in the corner. Very good song to escape your daily life, thanks !
Oh and another project I warmly recommend (if you do not already know): Storm Corrosion, by Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree) and Mikael Akerfieldt (Opeth). Listen to Lljudet Innan, it is one of the most beautiful and haunting compositions I have ever come across in my life.
You really should do a lot more Lunatic Soul, especially more from this album Walking on a Flashlight Beam. You have just scratched the surface on how great it is!
Lunatic Soul is real nice. I need to get a little more into their later albums. Here are some of my favorite songs from the first album: The Final Truth, Out on a Limb, and Summerland.
What an amazing piece of music. Given how much you enjoyed this, I am a bit surprised that you didn't react to more by Lunatic Soul. If you still feel like it, I recommend either "The Final Truth" or "Gutter". Have a fantastic day, Jim!
Love Lunatic Soul! Try Gutter, Suspended In Whiteness, Summerland, or Blood On The Tightrope next! ....also another Riverside....Escalator Shrine ( album version for sound quality) Riverside's "Eye Of the Soundscape" album is a compilation of new and old compositions that are ambient/electronica based ( an homage if you will to some of their influences)
Exactly what I thought, hehe.. I wish more people knew about Lunatic Soul, I don't think Duda has put out anything bad so far.. Do you know his song collaboration with Steven Wilson? Recommend that to Jim for a reaction, too!
plonkerboy900 hi there matey, I tried to do this yesterday. I've even uploaded it but it's been blocked in more countries than not. I will try to edit it a bit and try again. Thanks for the suggestion!
Thanks for the reply, if you can't get it to work then a workaround is to link the original video in the description so people can watch along in sync if they choose to, albeit this isn't an ideal solution but I suppose it's a backup!
Lunatic Soul is the shit. Just sucks they don't play live. But yeah, check out the song "Walking on a Flash Light Beam" off the same album. Great track. Honestly, instead of individual songs, just binge listen to all their albums/EP's in release order. They are all concept albums that tie into each other to tell an overall story.
This is exactly what I do….. just did it today, in fact. Have a chronological playlist of every Lunatic Soul album and it’s just one awesome continuous experience…. Lunatic Soul -> Lunatic Soul II -> Impressions -> Walking on a Flashlight Beam -> Fractured -> Under the Fragmented Sky -> Through Shaded Woods (thru Tranaition II) Amazing discography.
Ann Waychoff fair enough eh? But everyone can like everything, it's what makes the world go round and makes us all different! Thanks for listening :) . Where's my discussion page? I don't even know what that is!

And now....from the not too distant future.... I would believe you have procured all of Duda's Lunatic Soul albums..... this is trademark LS !!

So I would like to recommending Lunatic Soul - Suspended in Whiteness.

Try the final truth by Lunatic Soul. You will be surprised! Greetz from the Netherlands.

I also found LS after seeing Riverside perform at ProgPower USA. I love them both. Riverside is amazing live. Thank you for this video.

Friedrich Jens oh yes, and I sent the link!
I'd love it if you could react to Megitsune by Babymetal, a truly unique band, I guarantee you haven't heard anything like it!

Please review an Aussie band called I Built the Sky - their song Up Into the Ether is just awsome
Check maybe "Gutter" from the same album ;)
Band maid/dice/track please.
Lunatic soul was started with a desire to avoid any guitar parts. Maruisz would play the guitar parts as high end bass sounds or through keyboards

Wait, have you heard The Final Truth? If not, do that.

I find it across the top of your homepage under the eye that wierds me out. hehehe
Did not mean to hurt your feelings for not liking the song. :-)
