This is my most favorite of lunatic soul, although i love it all. That build at the end and the guitar jumps up an octave... This song brings me to tears just from the sound. Beautiful.

this project allowed Mariusz Duda an outlet to record music that wasn't quite right for Riverside, and enabled him to pursue themes all the way through. He also has published work under his own name , most of which is all electronics.
The problem with views, is so many people have never heard of LS , let alone Riverside , nor the connection between the two. I for one love both....

I’ve always felt the song lives and breathes like a living thing. The instrumentation and progression is unbelievable. ❤

Great reaction - I love that you always include both analysis and emotional impact!
I simply don't understand why Lunatic Soul isn't more well known. Your Pink Floyd comparison is spot on; they were a big influence on Mariusz Duda. There's a Riverside song called "Back To the River" that's inspired by/adapted from Shine On... highly recommended to any PF fans! For me, I discovered Lunatic Soul and Riverside simultaneously (literally the same evening), and there are lots of gems in both catalogs.

Such a great song. This one, The self titled track and A Thousand Shards of Heaven are my favorite from Mr. Duda's poject here.

Always appreciate everything you have to say. The reverb really is perfect for the atmosphere and I almost never noticed it because I'm always so taken away by the drums, bass and vocals, and I would definitely call it an atmospheric album seeing as the first track has 2 minutes of ocean waves at the start of it. Also I'm glad you made the Pink Floyd comparison because I struggled to group this with anything else but now that you say it I can see it.

    Definitely atmospheric... wonderfully done.
Speaking of atmospheric, did you get a chance to listen to Secludja, the instrumental album I messaged you about on Patreon? It's great to listen to when you're in the mood for calm soothing music.

Not yet, I'm heading out on a overland excursion tomorrow and I will check it out while I'm adventuring.
