I would not choose Cartier over Rolex, but a Tank is very much on my radar right now…
Bottom line up front - Cartier is on GOD Tier level over all other watches including the over hyped Rolex. Giving credit where credit is due, Rolex is best at marketing in the watch world.

Both watchs are nice,but in chrono 24 its more easy to find a cartier at 2000$ when its impossible for a rolex...so more easy to have is first afordable and aspirational wartch with cartier,also you can have santos when its impossible to have a nice rolex for this budget,,,bulgari have also afordable and great watchs for girl,,,
It's refreshing to have ladies discussing watches cause when I think of a watch present for my lady I soon realise that what a man think is nice for a lady is quite different from waht she would like for herself.

Hublot has always done events the right way, much like their marketing.
Cartier is Richemont's puppy, while Rolex still stands on its own. Thats something to think about when comparing brands.
