VotLW is a great detachment now that strats are unlocked! I think however that the termi brick with a lord would be better. I mean fights first for 1 cp on such a brick, the strat for devs on the bolters and AOC and reactive move is just too good with terminators!

When Mike had his Turn 2 i thought he has the advantage, but the deployment of the vindicators and the shooting of dreadnight gm foiled his plans
vindicators are so good in reserves with oath of moment, but Dereck just managed to place his valuables really good!
FYI reactive move is heretic astartes infantry or mounted only

2:53:33 He says he got 3 focus of hatred. How does it work ? Because of the different wording from the Oath of Moment, it can stack between turns if you don't kill the target ?

Man, I really want to get into the hobby, but holy crow the pace of play seems so so bogged down. When its not your turn you can almost tune out while the other plays a near-solitaire game. Out of 7 man-hours of game, there seems to be only a few short minutes of actual play.
I feel like in 10 years this will look to us the same way Monopoly looks design-wise. A ton of simple yet new rules every game, minutiae to remember..."I forgot he has the +3 inches" must happen all the time.
@@theAV8R honestly 10th is the easiest and best edition I've played. Also new players to get into. They simplified everything the best they can. And update, while balancing every couple months. Right now would be perfect. Me and Mike are very technical and not every game is like this. Usually we okay way over 3 hours bc we try new shit and talk a lot to catch up.
@@40kDirtbags I honestly believe all of what you're saying. It's also sort of tricky to know I'd have to re-learn a new set of rules in two years.
I still reckon I'll wait it out.
