    Great informative video as always Nerida. I would love to have seen the extractions done on him. Can you do a video on the proper way we should squeeze to get blackheads out when extracting. Also, can blackhead go away on their own with just chemical exfoliating or do they need to be extracted to completely disappear? Thanks so much for your help. -Dee

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Good cleaning and regular exfoliation is great at keeping the skin clean and pore size small. But to get rid of blackheads, they need to be squeezed , other wise you are just washing the surface.

    I have very sensitive skin, having suffered with folliculitis and I get eczema every summer and I do live in Spain so it gets fairly hot. I’m 15. My skin on my face isn’t awful, slightly congested but no acne. However I do get back spots and occasional breakouts on my chest. In addition I do have atopic dermatitis and so get large mosquito like bumps on my thighs. What foods do you recomend I avoid to stop my eczema flare ups and to help my skin and body acne? And is the sun a problem for my skin? I’ve also heard hot showers are very bad for it. Please help me out, my skin has so many issues so I’m very self conscious. You’re so helpful, thank you.

    Thank you!!
    I have just one question: recently i bought the pre-peel and peeling formula. I saw in one of your videos that you were using for that girl’s sensitive skin ( i do not remember her name right now) i think 10 leyers of peelin formula. Can you tell me aprox how many ml that mean? :))

    • @devon.pfeifer
      @devon.pfeifer 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello! 👋🏼 okay my first question what are your concerns with your skin that make you want to do the peel? The peeling formula is not so black and white in that the amount of layers you do depends on what you want to do with the skin. Would you mind sharing?

    • @deajcecilia5805
      @deajcecilia5805 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Devon Pfeifer i have some acne scars on my forehead my chin and on the right cheek, but not so many. So those scars are not deep at all. My skin heals really fast and thats why my scars are almost invisible to the eye, but it enough that i see them every day:)
      My skin is sensitive and oily in the same time in the T-zone and normal on cheecks.
      Nerida recommended me to use 2 coats of pree-peel formula in a previous video for the my sensitive skin but i need to know aprox how many layers do i need to put on my face being the first time using the peel:))

    • @devon.pfeifer
      @devon.pfeifer 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      D. Cecilia mm. I see. If it were me, I would only start with a few coats of the peel, perhaps 3-5 layers, and see how you do with that. Just watch how quickly your skin blanches. If it starts blanching quickly I would definitely only do a few. I would be more confident proceeding with caution for the first time, and if you handled it well, then the next time use more layers. Better to be reserved than too much. When you say scarring, do you mean pigmentation, or pitted scarring?

    • @deajcecilia5805
      @deajcecilia5805 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Devon Pfeifer i think pitted scars, but are not deep:)

    • @devon.pfeifer
      @devon.pfeifer 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      D. Cecilia okay, yes the peel should help with that. I would say start cautiously the first time. If your skin handles it well, then do another in... maybe 10 days to two weeks. Work your way up. If it were me, I might alternate between the peel and the retinoid formula every other treatment, if that makes sense.

    • @sarab5464
      @sarab5464 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      My acne use to be moderate now I just suffer from congested pores. Like tiny bumps that are colorless that come out with extractions but even when I would get facials they would come right back so I stopped and I also have some hyperpigmentation. Yeah they prescribed a whole regimen for me and just a peel during my facial

    • @devon.pfeifer
      @devon.pfeifer 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Okay, where there is oil, there will always be congestion, and extractions will always be needed. Even if it’s just a little bit. Are you super oily? What are you using now?
      Peels are good, but not needed unless it’s for a specific purpose, whether it is more severe acne, texture, pore size, softening lines, and pigmentation.

    • @victoriawilson650
      @victoriawilson650 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      It’s certainly not rare. Most people I know who wear a full face of makeup each day have flawless skin, because they have great skin care, a great diet, and remove their makeup as soon as they get home. Meanwhile, I never wear makeup and I’ve managed to get cystic acne 🙃 Yay me

    • @elizabethsmith9624
      @elizabethsmith9624 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Long wear foundation absolutely is a huge contributor to problem skin... Dr. Sam Bunting has mentioned this a lot. The point is HEAVY makeup, a 'full face of makeup' doesn't need to be heavy.

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I wear makeup ..all the time. You just have to wear GOOD makeup... thats good for YOUR type of skin. I say, its an extension of your skin care. And, you have to cleanse your skin really well at night especially with the right skin care products for you too. :))

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Sorry, but how does this man doctor Sam Bunting know about makeup??? I would listen to professional makeup artists #isabellaschimidmakeup #celebrity_make_up_artist #patidubroff about makeup and skin care professionals way before a doctor who stands behind a prescription pad ....rarely hands on. Good makeup protects your skin from the environment....and is healing (like mineral makeups La bella donna, color science, Jane Iredale:))

    • @elizabethsmith9624
      @elizabethsmith9624 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sam Bunting is a female cosmetic dermatologist and has talked a lot about how much damage longwear foundations do on her clients' skin. I think we are in agreement nerida, makeup can be fine for the skin but pancake longwear foundations can cause a lot of problems for the skin, like thick liquid foundations that are popular on the market today and can be worn for 24 hours, these kinds of foundations basically suffocate the skin

    He seems very red, he should cleanse skin with non foaming cleansers and aloe to help heal skin.
