This was my mom favourite song. When she was battling cancer she always play this song while she pray to ease the pain. She even told us that when the time comes that she's about to loose her breath and close her eyes forever she wants to hear this song in the background. I ALWAYS GO BACK TO THIS VIDEO EVERYTIME I MISS MY MOM.
I'm sorry you lost your mom. I lost mine 3 months ago in Feb. It was sudden but I'm grateful she had been with us for 83 yrs and that when the Lord took her, it was swift. I know there is a thin veil between me and her now but I miss her physical presence. She used to massage my head and neck to release tension. She wasn't good at it technically but the warmth and love emanating from her hands healed me. Only mom can do that. This is indeed a beautiful song to remember her by. Allow the music to permeate you to feel your mom's love.
And I’m back here. 🥺❤️ Kapag may pinagdadaanan ako at sobrang bigat na, binabalik-balikan ko talaga ‘to. Such a great help to release yung emotions ko. It has no language barrier. It has no boundaries. This always gives me peace and hope. ❤️ Laban lang! Malalampasan ko din ‘to! 🙏🏻
Let us not forget they are the "University of the Philippines Madgringal Singers" . I am proud they are Filipino, but I am also proud that it was founded and membered by UP faculty and students.

OOOOOOoooooooH!!! what a woooonder! I've been there twice but I cannot imagine that the "refettorio" has this wonderful acoustic. BRAVI!!!! greetings from Italy.
Never has a song drawn me closer to God. The way you sing this song reveals your team work and you sing as one. When I listen to this song, the presence of God is mighty through your voices!
This part of the building of the cathedral was built in an architectural manner so as the echoes are not bouncing all over the place. This is the specificity of this cathedral.
Ya know probably 100 of your views of this video are from me alone. Not religious but this really affects me. Its especially nice when stressed. Beautiful voices amazing job. Thank you for posting this.
. . . Ang sarap sarap sa tenga. . . .
I was singing at First International Choir Festival in Philippiness. January 1979. I was 18 years old. Soprano in Valencia University Choir. Best memories ever. Do miss Andrea O. Veneración. Thanks for sharing Sir. María de los Ángeles Salinas Novella. LinkedIn and Facebook business. Happy Spring 2021 !.
According to the online postings. Josu Elberdin composed this eternal song, also a Basque origin/theme how it's claimed to be. As requested by Music814 & another posting a year ago.
I'm amazed at the sound quality of this video compared to others. The performance here is an easy favorite of mine given the quality of this recording. Is it the acoustic ambience of the place or the exceptional performance of MADZ that makes the difference, you be the judge? Imagine this was even a flash-mob impromptu performance that stunned the other unassuming tourists. It's rendition is so close to the version of composer Josu Elberdin, so close that it's really as good as the original. (This video was even featured in a publication page selling the choir music sheet of this title - GIA publication).
Heavenly. Thank you Tim for sharing this video. I'll go back to this video over and over again not only to listen to the great music but also to see many former Madz members who have moved on to pursue their careers.
This is my comfort song :) been coming back over and over and over and over and over and over again...will never get tired listening to this very talented group!
Never a hymn like this shakes me to the very core, it is very spellbinding, serene and just very reflective on being a human being. Thank you very much for stumbling across on this rendition. I'm just simply in pure awe...
Every time i hear this song all memory goes back and i miss to sing this song with my choir back than. We always listen to madz for our lead model to sing. I miss you guys. I miss the unklab choir ❤❤
2024 anyone?❤

Josu Elberdin thank you for the music sir!
Beautiful composition, sir.
I love the song
It feels like you are being teleported to a peaceful place with no worries and pain. It is so serene
+jenell0131 If this is how the angels sing.... Maybe they are angels.
Tourists: What's going on?
Madz: Oh, we're just testing the acoustics. Nothing beats a thirteen hundred year old abbey. ; P
The building and people become one instrument! The engineering and art involved is a "lost" skill. Well done!
The best version of Izar Ederrak I've heard. This is the model to follow. Beautiful. Ederrak.
John McCrostie Mr. Elberdin I think approves.
I’m a silent fan. I swear I never end my year without watching this video
Filipinos are the choir in heaven

FYI, marami nang members ng MADZ na hindi UP alumni, kaya they are now simply called "The Philippine Madrigal Singers"
Feels like i'm in the heaven and the angels sings 🙏

Oo nga mezzo alto
That’s jacqui ❤️
July 3 2021 its been 8 years and i come back here everyday listening
Despite being an antitheist, the beauty of the voices and the quality of the venue's sound gave me goosebumps.
***** i think its more of the location-- the abbey that made her give such comment!!
+Blarkley oh really why dont u search more about the singers. no room for jealousy and ignorance here...crab!
+lawing western they are d only choir in d world who win european Grand Prix TWICE as of dis moment if I'm still up to date! ...
