Believe it or not, she won't even get far in the Phillipines. This is good for modern western standards. But you need prime Mariah vocals to stand out in the Phillipines.
Sadly, the majority of us Filipinos are judged by our looks first before our talent, skills, and character. Like in the Philippines, if you look good with a whiter complexion, you can become an artist even without a talent.

Let us not be over the top. We can say around 80% of pinoys can sing but only around 40% are good singers, and 20% are great singers, and roughly 5% are legendary 😅

Back in 2001 I was found at the top of a six story carpark dangling over the edge. I was taken into protective custody and sectioned under the mental health act . Two days later I woke up from a medicated induced sleep. There was a nurse sitting by my door as I was on suicide watch for a few weeks. She’d put a radio in my room and when I woke up this song was playing ( the Bobby mcferrin one ) Now every time I hear it I’m incredibly grateful for the love and care I received. 23 years on I’m now 58 with four children who are now grown up and a partner I love dearly. My life took a massive turn back then but now I’m alive and thriving ❤

A few years ago my Filipino friend took me to this concert where he said this singer will blow you away. I went and she was next level incredible! Her name was Regine Velasquez! Never heard of her until that day, and now I’m a true fan. Because of Regine, I’ve been able to discover other amazing Filipino artists she’s inspired.

Filipino women have always been great entertainers. It's in their genes to be talented and perform for everyone's well being. Singers, nurses, chefs, waiters, cleaners, all of them...they do it amicably! Love them all!
Luke is breathtakingly good as always. As for his filipino singling partner? She's clearly a professional, a woman blessed with natural gifts which have been honed until she's an exquisite musical instrument. Back in 2001 I was found at the top of a six story carpark dangling over the edge. I was taken into protective custody and sectioned under the mental health act . Two days later I woke up from a medicated induced sleep. There was a nurse sitting by my door as I was on suicide watch for a few weeks. She’d put a radio in my room and when I woke up this song was playing ( the Bobby mcferrin one ) Now every time I hear it I’m incredibly grateful for the love and care I received. 23 years on I’m now 58 with four children who are now grown up and a partner I love dearly. My life took a massive turn back then but now I’m alive and thriving ❤

A few years ago my Filipino friend took me to this concert where he said this singer will blow you away. I went and she was next level incredible! Her name was Regine Velasquez!
