Nice reaction! And they were playing the anvil. Can you think of anything more metal than that?
They were the first band I saw live after the covid restrictions were lifted for smaller outdoor concerts in July. Nice, laid back guys having a beer 🍺 or a cigarette with the fans before and after the show... Their covers of Guns n Roses, Iron Maiden and Metallica are great. Check out Ace of Spades, Seek n Destroy, November Rain, Born to be Wild, Cemetary Gates and a lot of other good stuff!

You HAVE to do their version of Pantera's Cemetery Gates! The banjo player sings and I think he is the far superior voice there. They are in a park with people just sitting on benches, going WTF? as they jam. One of my faves of theirs, it is actually a truly great cover, but I think they are great at all of the covers they do. Thanks for doing this, love you guys!

This is their biggest hit, 111M views on YT. thousands of praising comments, asking when are you coming to play in my home country. The name of their first album was "Brothers in Farms" It was Billboard number one, blue grass genre. They had to cancel their 56 day 38 concert European tour, but thanks to that I'm going to see them in Helsinki Culture House on Friday November 20th. I live less tha a mile away.
Steve 'n' Seagulls participated in the Nightwish Cruise. They have covered a Nightwish song. Wishmaster I think it was, but imo it is not one of their best, althogh Nightwish approved. The guy playing the uoright bass added quickly about Nightwish at the end of an intreview: "I like their new singer", meaning Floor. I don't think he was referring only to her vocal skills.
Two changes in the line-up. New bassist, new drummer, both excellent. The bassist sings one song, Antisocial, in French. They have lots of fans in France.
I saw Steve 'n' Seagulls on June 27th at Allas Sea Pool in Helsinki. They are amazing live. I got the setlist from the main voacalist as a souvenir, and I got to talk to them for quite some time, between their two sets, when they were selling merchandise, and after the concert. They are the nicest of people.
The banjo player is a great vocalist too. (Pantera cover "Cemetery Gates" fore example. Performed in a park in the US, NY? Central Park?)

  •  3 ปีที่แล้ว +18
