    I think walking is very good for specially for seniors and for those who have knee problem , don't sit and rest all the time

    Thank you for taking the time for all of us out here on youtube.. I'm a caregiver and my client is a 83 year old woman. She has bone on bone both in her knees and shoulders. She is in so much pain. Pain relievers don't help much at all. She walks bole legged and very very slow. Her right knee is worse, the knee is bone on bone leaning to one side on her knees so she is in more pain with that knee and can't get compfortable. Dr. said only option is Replacement but the recovery for her would be very hard since she has limited mobility in her shoulders.. Any ideas? She has been to 2 Doctors Thank you..

      I can't tell you specifically what would work since each person is different and I don't know her case. However, unloader braces sometimes can help for people with severe arthritis who aren't candidates for replacement. Here's a video with information about those: th-cam.com/video/HZe_tkxxpPk/w-d-xo.html

      Yes and I had my left one replaced! The pain is unbelievable so I’m preparing for the right knee to also be replaced within the next month ! I personally cannot walk long distances on my knee because of the bone on bone . No question it makes it worse

      yes, It make 3 years now that I am bone on bone, I had sinvic inections that was good at the begining, after that cortisone injections, and now I taking collagene liquid. The specialist told me that I am overall to much in shape to have surgery. So I am sill trying
      anything to avoid it. I am 74 years old. Do exercice on a chair, or bicycle in place or swimming and a litte walk. I can do 1 hour at a time.Good lock.

    I get it about the surgery. But I also know walking is not good for bone on bone knee pain. Just because you don't feel it doesn't mean we can't feel it. I'm doing therapy exercises to help it. Even walking backwards has helped it some already.

    I have no cartilage left in right knee hurts when I walk, I can't fully straighten my knee will.walking make this worse?

    • @More4Life
      @More4Life  ปีที่แล้ว +10

      You're not going to further damage the cartilage if there's none left, and the adverse effects of not moving are much worse than the adverse effects of moving (pain).

      How are you doing now, has walking helped your pain?

  • @lovelove-nc1fh

    So what if you have number four bone on bone and now your leg hurts and your foot hurts it’s even cause your hip to be bone on bone then do you go through with a surgery?

    • @More4Life
      @More4Life  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Sounds like you've been suffering a lot for a long time. The decision to have surgery or not is a choice that each person has to make for themselves (with the assistance of their healthcare team). For some it's the best choice, for others not. Good luck either way you decide though.
