One lap qualifying is the official NASCAR rules. First is the non-counting warm-up, second is the one timed lap.
2 timed laps on short tracks (Tracks less than 1.25 mi)

Honestly there is like 5 things at minimum that should be fixed for this game to be worth the money right now, stages, camera shake, cautions, settings resetting and a mirror. Without those it’s kind of pointless. Almost seems like a care bones arcade built on a visual powerhouse.
I'd also enjoy knowing how much gas I have.

Also x4 tyre wear slider to have interesting 15-25% races. Just like in Heat 5 ! It was much more interesting. It looks like the new developers will be adding features that are already in Heat 5 in the next 5 years. And now we have NASCAR Heat Evolution 21: Ignition.
During the race it does note that it is the “final stage” throughout the whole race. This tells me that this hopefully either means they’re going to add stages or maybe it’s just part of the foundation Millad is talking about, where they have things like social media and good superspeedway racing at times, but not exactly there yet. So it does mention stage, just not having the full stage foundation in there.
And fix Bristol dirt on the career mode. Doesn't even load!
EDIT: The game not loading any race properly now. And yesterday everything went well. I'm really regretting buying this game, even with the few positives
EDIT 2: It finally loaded, but I had to wait a solid minute and a half with the game frozen.

The foundation for the game is there. It looks great visually. Motorsport games just needs to patch the ai and bugs and it’ll be a good game. I just need a break from iRacing. I’m undecided if I should get this game on console or pc.
PC probably won't have a big userbase but if motorsport games doesn't patch it well then I'm sure modders can fix it. But I'd wait a month or two myself
Don’t get it on console, you can’t change any of the video settings. Motion blur kills it.
The version they gave the content creators is 12 gb. How ever the version that comes out tomorrow is 20 + gb. There may be a massive patch?
The AI won’t be fixed until the Ai in rFactor 2 gets fixed since Nascar 21 shares the same bugs/glitches as rFactor 2 due to them using the AI from said game

So far tho I think this game franchise already has way more upside than the Heat series. The gameplay seems better other than minor checkups and bugs that’ll be fixed. The menus are way better, the potential here is off the charts to me guys

The graphics are buggy and can’t even keep up with the speed of the car, no custom setups, you can’t even turn steering assist off and so you can’t even drive the car how you want to. So far I can’t believe I wasted $90 on this. I can’t believe I’m saying this but it’s no better than heat right now in its current state.
from the hour i’ve played it i can say the gameplay is better, but the career mode is a huge downgrade from heat and the AI is awful which makes it practically unplayable. i really hope they fix the issues and quick because it isn’t very fun in the state it’s in.
Bruh this was a full blown pack race at Homestead…..on lap 34. Even with the 550 package you would never see something like that irl the gameplay and AI looks miles behind Heat
I still don't understand how they haven't done cautions correctly in 6 games when EA and Eutechnyx both figured it out

How is this game gonna be ready? There are too many issues with this game to warrant a 60 dollar value, let alone paying for the legendary edition. It’s a simulation nascar game that doesn’t even have a flag man, cautions without replays that don’t even generate correctly and you can’t race back to the line, a plethora of pit road glitches, driver checkups everywhere, NO PRIVATE MULTIPLAYER LOBBIES, FIVE SETTING OPTIONS, NO STAGES (regardless if you like them or not, you can’t be a simulation nascar game without them), inconsistent damage models, pitting under caution glitches, and many more issues. But oh, yOu CAn driVe iNto tHe gaRAge aReA, while that’s awesome, WHO THE FUCK CARES IF THE REST OF THE GAME IS BROKEN GARBAGE?! Just another very pretty looking empty shell, with no map, tire wear indicator, or fuel indicator other than a glitched flashing notification that’s barely noticeable
And I thought the Heat games were bad haha, but to be fair, the first heat game was also garbage

Why is everybody just SKIPPING over the fact you can practically play bumpercars with not even a tire slide. Physics awful.
I just got to Homestead in career mode for the first time, and am having a very hard time getting the car to turn. Do you know how I can get my car to turn better?
You can't. Ai has more grip . Trying to follow them and you end up in the wall. Lift off throttle and they pass you.

I just learned that the momentum bar is what tells you your speed or not had a bad race finished last and then I ran back of the pack could not even pass into top 30

Reputation is probably tied to aggression, like if you bump a car in a race, your reputation with the team drops... maybe they bump you next race lol also try rfactor2, a lot of the software would make sense if you've used the physics engine

Someone help my g920 is super sensitive on nascar 21 i barely steer and it goes into another driver
I have an important question for everyone . Are the keys occupied on the wheel with you ? In my TS - PC Racer from Thrusmaster . Is not a single key occupied . Must do everything in the race via the keyboard. Upshift and downshift is the only thing that is occupied.
Idk if thats just me being stupid but I wanted to ask that forever. For the setup screen, there seem to be two options there, B for exit and A for select. You’ve said the whole time when you exit it, it doesn’t save. Maybe you need to select it with A somehow? Maybe I think to simple but idk lets give it a try?
I’ve tried everything it doesn’t save no matter what
And plus once when I was on my controller don’t go into the wall that hard ease into the wall then bounce off of it and then get some aerodynamics from other cars it will help

Got the game last night on pre order.. it’s broken still they fix the steering assist.. you feel like you are fighting the assist the whole race.
Try to Pit while in practice and loosen the car up and see if it keeps the changes throughout qualifying and the race
I have noticed that in a race, there were 3 cautions and I ended the race 3 laps down, I was never lapped nor did I spin out
friend when this physical game comes out for ps4.when it would be available.to buy it.
The only bug I've noticed in the game I have is that when I qualify 33rd by time I reach 8th I'm already a lap down without even being passed by the leader. Not sure if you've noticed something similar in your game.

I actually I watched my first MotoGP race of the year and it just happened to be the doctor's last race and if you don't know who the doctor is he's Valentino Rossi
I'll say the F1 race in my opinion was better than the NASCAR race but that's mainly because it was commercial free
I think NBC and fox could do better than all the freaking commercials
It wasn't his last race. It was his final race at his home track of Misano. His final race will be the season finales at Valencia.

As the game has been released to the pre-ordered folks, racing at Daytona for Daytona 500. I have experienced many glitches and bugs as there were many cautions at the beginning with all 39 other cars checking up to almost a stop, then half the field taking off going faster than 215mph, then half the field runs into pit road at a mad dash hitting everything but their own pit box. Very glitchy and a lot of bugs that need to fixed and resolved. Also, we gotta have the rear view mirror!

Am I the only one who's noticed in this game that the qualifying positions are the same as real life because I've seen 2 daytona 500 videos and it was Alex Bowman and William Byron on the front row both times just like real life and I saw other drivers qualify in the same spot too

To tell if you have damage you can see the steering wheel in the cockpit isn’t centered. I wrecked earlier at Las Vegas and my whee was way to the left

It also notes during the race that it’s the “final stage” - so either the stat is simply there to show the actual nascar previous stage stats, or it’ll simply be coming later into the game
