love the bisley review. hey. what do you think about moving inktober over to now. since people have some time on their hands. people shouldn't be outside and interacting with others. and there is no better way to isolate yourself then inking.
Check out his black and white ABC warriors stuff - blew my mind when I saw it. Trouble with Bisley though is that he was so influential 2000AD just became page after page of Bisley paint clones most of which didn't have his talent so it just got tedious
i'm guessing that whilst it's undoubted that 2000ad artist Mike McMahon had some influence on bisley it's more likely Kevin O'Neill's work on "Nemesis The Warlock" written by Pat Mill's was a much larger influence.
I wonder if Biz ever did a comic in graphite pencil only like he did the Paradise Lost art book? Also wonder if he ever tackled a book in water colours only, seems he's had a go at every medium even ABC Warriors Black Hole inks only work is awesome as anything he does. By the way there's been a couple of blips at BIZtv Lately.
I know that Chris Halls AKA Chris Cunningham (music video director) did some work in 92 for 2000AD that looks EXACTLY like Bisleys style but I don't think he was a predecessor to Bisley.
As an MD I can tell you - he doesn't really know anatomy, but it doesn't bother me at all. The style is extremely "over the top" but in a good way, so it's ok if there are some muscles in there that don't exist.
Love me some Bisley and especially Fabry!
Always love to see Bisley show up on my feed, cheers Rich
no doubt he got some Richard Corben on his art DNA there too. Love the Biz.
BIZ old stuff is soo goood. Love L.O.B.O
Between slaine bisley and glenn fabry arts who you think the best .
Also Bisley did that cowboy story in Toxic that was pretty cool, and Martin emond yes, love the Lobo deadman book he did. He was also in Toxic!
Fan-Fraggintastic, Rich!👌 I love Simon Bisley's work on Dredd, Lobo, 2000 A.D., and anything he does. Great video, my artistic friend.
Glenn Fabry? Anywhooo great content

Love Bisleys style. Sam Keith is also a badass. They have very similar styles. Wonder who hit first?? Thinking Keith??
I can see Frazetta , Mike McMahon, Kev O' Neill, Bill Sienkiewicz and Boris Vallejo...
if you wan't to check out some cool Kevin O'Neil artwork check the " Great Uncle Baal" chapter in the 1st Nemesis book
Glenn Fabry? Colin MacNeill? (well known painters who worked for 2000AD in the 80s/90s, both of them still do work for 2000AD from time to time)

Bisley's first work (black and white) for 2000ad , "ABC Warriors " show O'Neills influence the most.
is the cover artist you are recalling at 12.00 Glen Fabrey?

His hellblazer run was in pencils only...
@@tonyfrickey9062 Cheers!
Biz is the best!🤘🤘💥

Jezeriah Hopkins he actually copied bisley and I heard the biz wanted to beat the crap out of him.
You should think about bart sears and doug mahnke for videos.

He clearly knows his surface anatomy and that's more important and useful to an artist than internal anatomy anyway.
@@dannycruz5446 Well yeah like I said, it's mainly the muscles. They show on the surface as well though.
@jakob farrell Hah, that often went through my mind as well. He's like a mix of Frazetta, Corben and Liefeld.
