Malachite. Copper carbonate mineral. Often mixed with calcite. You can see azurite which is a blue copper carbonate. Pretty common in Nevada, southern California and Arizona.
I thought copper when you mentioned mining, because I know it turns green (like my brass did when I was in the army!). But Copper is an element. But I looked it up and Malachite is the mineral form of copper and other stuff mixed in. 😀
My first thought on seeing a green mineral is usually epidote or chlorite, but those tend to be darker and duller. This sort of surface-coverage material with its brighter and paler color, along with a mention of mining activity, suggests a copper mineral--maybe chrysocolla or malachite? The presence of neighboring azurite makes malachite a near certainty.
Hi, I recently discovered your channel and I'm liking it by the ton! Where I live there are a lot of broken discarded rocks. On my property I find a lot of rocks with fuzzy green material, like on corroded battery terminals?
Knew it was Malachite or Chrysocolla, but when you pointed to the deep blue mineral alongside (azurite), I am guessing malachite. And probably from a copper mine.

Malachite. (Second guess.)

They’re both Stunning!😮🎉
malachite.
Love copper minerals
My guess, turquoise. Oh well.

Copper ores and azurite nodules.
Great virtual lab video!
Copper
That's my guess as well.

Malachite, Azurite, & chalcopyrite in quartz.
I know zero about geology, but judging from the terrain, and the fact that it was from a mine, I figured it out. Kinda fun!
Malachite and azurite. Copper minerals often associated with gold and silver deposits.
The botroydal form at 5:42 is awesome.
Copper, malachite
copper?
Yeah, uhh, dats your basic Cappah right dere.. Says Cliff Clavin.
What causes copper ores to strand-off into different types of minerals, like Malachite or Azurite? Sorry if I'm wrong on the terminology.
azurite, malachite
Looks like that it contains cooper, that is how much I can say about it
Chatoyant is the word.
Maybe malachit
Malachite?
Sparkle ✨ green rocks are emaralds or copper
I would think its copper?
Plutonium or Jade or Emeralds. That's my answer. Did I win ? Or Broccoli
