    Baptizing the right, SCRIPTURAL way! Total immersion! Not the false belief of infant "baptism" (which really is not a baptism at all) which Lutherans, Methodists, and others adhere to.

      Barf Rockskin Where does it say in the Bible how a baptism is to be preformed? Don't give me examples how it was done.

      Hard to accept the assertion that Jesus didn’t give us the Bible when the 4 gospels are the record of His life, teaching, death and resurrection, and the rest of the New Testament is focused on explaining or applying what He taught. This is aside from the Old Testament whose main purpose is to prepare mankind’s thinking and faith for the appearance and ministry of Jesus.

      Jesus said Water, doesn't say immersion. You are making it a work of man, instead of a work of God. You're trying to claim that God does not work in a baptism that still involves water and His Name.

    I had joined a church looking to be baptised here in the UK, and they're like it will take 4 weeks, so that was a downer. But the killer for me was going back the next week to see baptisms take place, and after they asked for a Christ confession that He is the Lord and Saviour, they asked "Will you be a part of this church?". I was told by the Father in Heaven to not go back there, a baptism is a pledge to God, not churches. So much fake stuff here where religion isn't taken seriously anymore. I hope I can get baptised soon, properly, like I'd even do it in my own bathtub.

      I might suggest that you contact a minister with a Church of Christ near you for a Bible study on this issue. I’m confident that he will baptize you once you’ve studied the teachings in the New Testament on this subject.

    Hi Mike does it have to be a pastor or church to baptize. I can't find any church or pastor where I live to baptize. So what can believers do? If it's not offered can a believer do it?

    • @bibletalktv
      @bibletalktv  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes. The power to save is in the faith of the one being baptized and the forgiveness and gift of the Spirit comes from God. The one performing the baptism is a minister in the service of God’s word to, ”..make disciples baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit” - Matt. 28:19. No need to be a full-time Minister/preacher.

      BibleTalk.tv oops, you mean in “Jesus Name” nowhere in the Bible was anyone ever baptized by repeating the commandment, rather they obeyed the commandment and were all baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, according to the Bible.

    Hello, I am a junior high leader at my church, and one of the junior high girls I have been helping disciple asked me to baptize her. I’ve never done a baptism before, do you have any tips for doing it right and not messing up? Thank you and God bless!

    I know there are some baptisms where they baptized you face first or they push your head down and submerge you in water. Is there a difference?

    • @bibletalktv
      @bibletalktv  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not really. The point is to immerse in water. There is no specific command or instruction on how to do this. So long as the body is immersed.

    We MUST ALL REPENT and be Baptized in Jesus' Name for the remission of sins. ...BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE.
    JESUS TRULY IS COMING ANYDAY TO CAPTURE AWAY HIS BIBLICAL PREPARED PEOPLE OUT OF THIS EVIL WORLD THEN GREAT DEMONIC FORCES AND JUDGMENT WILL OVERTAKE THOSE LEFT BEHIND WHO REFUSED TO REPENT AND WHO REJECTED BIBLCAL OBEDIENCE.
    Sadly most Churches deny and reject the Apostolic Doctrine on the Day of Pentecost commands.
    ( John 3: 3-5 ) ( Acts 2: 38- 42 ) ( Acts 4:12 )
    ( Acts chapt. 19: 1 -6 ) ( Ephesians 4: 5 ) ( Galatians 1: 8 )
    JOHN 3; 3-5 IS IN CROSS REFERENCE TO ACTS 2: 38

    Interesting watching this now in contrast w/ the video going around FB of that priest (prob'ly Eastern Orthodox or something like that) aggressively dunking that baby in the baptismal font in a way that could cause a person to have PTSD.

      Babys need not be baptized as a child does not have capacity to be accountable for sin but are innocent until they can be.If a child dies they belong to Jesus. No baby or child was ever baptized in scripture

    he that believes "AND" is baptized shall be saved...Repent and be baptized "EVERYONE" of you "IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST" for the remission of your sins, and you shall receive the Holy Ghost, unless you are born of "WATER" and born of the Spirit, you will NOT ENTER/SEE the kingdom of God!! I could literally go on and on, but if you are SCRIPTURALLY honest, then you know that I don't have to, Read Acts 19:1-7 for example....And pleeeeease read Acts 44-46. Don't let ANY devil tell you that Jesus name baptism is a work, or not to apply it to your walk, when it's part of The Way of salvation, when JESUS WAS BAPTIZED prior to his life of temptation and miraculous ministry, he told John the Baptizer that baptism fulfilled ALL RIGHTEOUSNESS. When were the first 3000 souls (other than the 120 in the upper room) added to the church in Acts 2!!!???? WHEN they believed AND were baptized... believe enough to be baptized....Acts 2:38. Stop kicking against the pricks and quenching the Spirit. Acts 22:16.....(Call me at 213 595 2709 ask for Brother Ant) God is stirring someone's heart to call me for more...I say that humbly. I'm nothing BUT my God is everything. Call me

    He left out that it must be apostolic! You must have a priest if you know what you’re doing.

    • @bibletalktv
      @bibletalktv  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is only required by Catholic or Orthodox churches but there is no such requirement demonstrated in the Bible.

    • @Православл
      @Православл 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      BibleTalk.tv Here is a quote from Christ himself: He breathed on them (12 apostles) and said, whosever sins ye forgive, they are forgiven, and whosever sins ye retain, they are retained.” Christ gave the apostles special power, and they, in turn, gave it to their successors. The early church, which Christ created, only ever allowed baptist by someone with apostolic succession, that’s a historical fact. If someone is about to die (or there is no priest available), baptism can be done by anyone, but these are almost never the circumstances. There is no reason to disobey Christ’s church, apostolic succession is very important.

      In Acts 8:26-40 we have the account of Philip (a deacon) baptizing a Eunuch.

    • @Православл

      BibleTalk.tv in the early church, there were no priests. It was the bishop, and deacons (helpers). Priests became a thing when Christianity grew too much to have one bishop, serve the whole district/diocese. Deacons were allowed to baptize people, and with permission, a deacon may also do so today, as they have been ordained by Christ through a bishop.

      You are stating this case using Catholic history and practice, not New Testament teaching. One can introduce any number of practices when leaving the teaching of the New Testament.
