Really it's true. 18 minutes and less than half is about the laptop. So better to include 5 or 6 timestamps. Beautiful video though and did watch all of it.
the success of the channel is that many people visit it (I am definitely) not only for the actual review of the product but for the nice and refreshing way of exploring and showing interesting places. One of my favourite channels for sure!

Thank you David! Ordered, arrived & already upgraded to Windows 11! Very happy with the weight & build quality - EUK version is 4G - my SIM already in - Office fully loaded, so Chromebook is retired! No fingerprint reader or back-lit keyboard, but good all-rounder 🙂

I have last year's $1, 000 model of this laptop. The build quality is exceptional I love it. Wished they had used it on the 360. The display is gorgeous and the audio the best I've heard on a laptop. Last year's display in my opinion is too bright. No problem seeing it in bright sunlight. In doors I keep it at 15% I don't like bright lights in my eyes.
Will be interesting to see the build quality and what the Book Go LTE or 5G sells for, and on Book S you can pop your sim out of your phone and right into the sim card tray and use the data plan no problem.

Well-balanced laptop for only 350 bucks, it is good for online class because it haa 720p hi-res camera. And you're the most underrated tech youtuber I'd like.
Just a treat to watch you both in action! Fantastic video and a really interesting computer. Especially in that Chromebook/Lenovo/Acer space. 350 is good for what you get. Tethering is an option at least, although not ideal. I use it a lot on a surface pro 7.

Love the road trip the way of tackling products, I wasn't too sure the laptop would be the best way to showcase it but it turned out really well!

That price point is impressive. Although tbh the laptop is very dull and unexciting like other typical cheap Windows laptop, at very least should've more poppy colour selection instead of silver grey lol. Actually I would love if they make this into something like Surface Go rival, small tablet with that chip would be awesome combo. Maybe Surface Go 3??

What camera did you use to record the video?
Book S Samsung's last year model will handle 5 browsers, 4 vpns, photoshop, lightroom, cyberlink powerdirector, the edraw suite and all entertainment apps...spotify, prime, hulu and netflixs. Really wasn't anything I threw at it the laptop didn't handle. Didn't run into any Windows ARM work around situations. Used Comodo as a separate firewall and the laptop it came encrypted.
This is EXACTLY what I needed to know. I edit videos on PowerDirector and do alot of Microsoft Office and Netflix and Prime. Now that I know this it will replace my.aged LG tablet with this laptop 💻 5G version through Tmobile. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 Thanks!

Thank you again for a mice and informative everyday usage video. I also got the Samsung Galaxy Book Go over here in Germany, but interestingly we can get it with WiFi plus LTE. So, no WiFi only, but also no 5G. Price here is 449,- € on the Samsung shop (as always incl. VAT here).
Ah good to know! It seems like it won't be available here in the US only the 5G later on. Wonder what the price will be for the 5G 🤔

I always like a bit of history with my tech review. That is why I apreciate this series where I learn things like why is called "Red Hook" or "Dumbo". But now I wonder why David failed to tell the story behind the "Montauk" name even though he had an almost local traveling with him?

The Windows 11 22H2 update doesn't go through on these devices.
Not enough space to actually do anything with it. It's good enough as a legacy device, to play back DOS games in DOSBOX (even 16 bit Windows 3.x to 95 games can play ok, like MDK, which rates this PC to an equivalent of about a 400Mhz CPU for Windows, but only a ~50Mhz equivalent in DOSBOX; this due to DOSBOX being an Emulator into Windows, being emulated to ARM, so dual emulation. The Lost Eden runs okay-ish, with some hiccups, but overall is playable), or even some Windows 32bit games, IF they work, because the device is finicky in booting the game/program. Sometimes it runs fine, other times it just won't boot for whatever random reason.
The only way to use this device (the 4G RAM, 64GBSSD, WIFI only, Snapdragon 7c), is to use it as a barebones Windows 11 laptop for light duty, like you say, to run Office editing programs (like word, excel, powerpoint etc...), and some browsing and up to 1080p youtube videos (I usually watch 480p to 720p, which is about as high as it goes running at 2x speed).
No disk programs work (like minitool, or other format or disk partitioning tools, other than Window's own DISKPART); file management is ok on it, although the USB drives are a bit slow for larger files. It also only has 1 full size USB A port, and 2 USB type C ports (I believe running at the 2.0 standard); which is more than sufficient for older smaller games and the occasional movie.
Runs VLC just fine, as well as a lot of the Microsoft Store programs.
I did run into issues with steam, which can install, but most games won't. Epic Games on the other hand, lets me know which games I can install, and which will fail, before even attempting to download them. Most of their games are legacy Android cellphone games, like not particularly spectacular. I ran Asphalt, at a reduced resolution and graphics.
