Finally this thing received a refresh. My mother had bought one of these back in 2014 when it first came out was a head turner back in it’s time. Nice to see they didn’t ruin the look. 👍🏼
Big step up for the QX60 and I really do like the interior, but Acura has nothing to worry about. The MDX is still far better all around and will out handle the QX60 easily.
The only way Infiniti (or any legacy auto brand for that matter) can turn it around is 100% focus on EVs, yesterday. If they don't do that, they're all done.
thanx for the video men. & as an acura owner for years... we all wonder when is acura gonna come up with some kind of v8 since early 90's & never had done that... so now when are they gonna put supercharges there v6 engine ?? i love acura regardless but men we been demanding bigger engine or supercharger ect long story short more hp & tq but acura keep using the same v6 engine from the 80's just more refined but is the same engine from the 92 acura legend which i love that car & that was the car that put acura in the map honestly but everything goes up with the price but powertrains still the same. they just finally came up with a new v6 for the tlx type s only & is pretty good but i rather have a 4.0 with the same tech from there new 3.0 really
I like the styling of the QX60 over the MDX. Interior is well layed out and the materials look and feel better. The exterior also is well sculpted and classy

It’s time to drag race with MDX. I am waiting for it. My feeling, MDX will win because of SH-AWD. Let see. We know Q50 red sports kicked TLX type S but as far SUV goes, it will be interesting with both front wheel biased.
I had reserved my Autograph model and expecting it any day now. drove a test model a few days ago and was disappointed with the dim interior lights and no ambient lights. Your thoughts on the lights and the tiny headlights - are they effective in the dark?
The new QX60 does have ambient lights but I read that you can control the dim or even have them off, so maybe they were off when you test drove? I’ve been wanting to see what it looks like at night but haven’t seen any videos with the ambient light on yet

Pretty commendable effort by Infiniti. Looks good, has a snappy powertrain and it’s spacious. I personally think MDX looks better. Pair that with double wishbone suspension, SHAWD and the direct injected J35 and i think Acura still edges it.
Yeah I totally agree. The interior is too much like a Nissan. A little too much plastic. MDX is more luxurious inside and out. MDX powertrain is solid and proven. And if you need it in your area SH-AWD is a beast 😁😁
@@miked6523 they were super solid cars with great drivetrains. CVT transmission really hurt them. And the quality of the materials have really gone down. I have a 2016 Q50 which I love but still miss my 2011 G37s just something about it. Felt really connected to the road with that car.
I really want Infiniti to succeed because I remember their golden days. However, I don’t think Acura has much to worry about, especially when talking about their SUV’s. Until Infiniti does a complete reboot like Acura, then it’ll get more interesting. This is a very good start for Infiniti though.
Hope Infiniti/Nissan gets their mojo back, but this QX60 is about a decade too late. If this came out in 2010, they would have had something. Moving up segment, of course there’s BMW,MERCEDES, Porche…etc, but The Acura MDX owns this segment especially the type S. in the $60k range.
Getting rid of the CVT in favor of the ZF9 was the first step in being competitive with the MDX. Now, develop a torque vectoring AWD system to compete with SH-AWD and it’s really game on!!
I'm pretty sure that the 10AT is still better. Acura used to use a transmission very similar to what Infiniti is using now, and that 9AT cause the previous MDX to be one of the least reliable midsize luxiry SUVs. Meanwhile, the new MDX has above average reliability now.

They really should have used the 3.0t across they're whole line up. But especially this, a 3.0t paired with the 9speed would have put Infiniti back in the performance luxury talks
Why? They make just about the same amount of power. Just because it's turbo it's performance? People who buy this car don't want a minivan and want luxury. They aren't looking for a race car.

@@SamCarLegion it used to be. It might come back. Its the Air suspension shortage issue. Base X5 is at 63K. Same towing rating with mild hybrid and better gas mileage. Though it doesnt look good as this QX60. Add 10K USD and its a loaded X5. I was an infiniti owner but their pivot to CVT definitely got me out of the brand.

Sure, if rear seat cooling is the deciding factor. I wouldn't entertain a korean car, they have way too many problems with gdi, rod bearings, all deep issues. Also, have you seen the ridiculous amount of brand new tellurides and palisades catching fire? It's so common I even saw one with my own 2 eyes on the highway... Anyways, people are all about styling...they make a kia look like a yukon denali and everyone jumps on it like flies on 💩

Had a 2014 qx60 before, this is a big step up. Glad to see Infiniti making a comeback, now all they have to do is update the q50

Quad motor electric will have the most superior torque vectoring possible. If they don't get serious about EVs yesterday, legacy auto is doomed.

Depends on your age: QX60 for 55+, MDX 4th gen 20022+ for 50 and below. 50-55, either one LOL
