I really appreciate that for most scent profile categories, you usually bring something new to the table that not every other content creator is talking about. Thank you for a fresh perspective!
For any aussies who can’t take the cost of Another 13, ‘Muse’ by Who is Elijah is a very very bang on dupe. I own both and the difference is undetectable.
Ok so this vid is excellent and I now am the proud owner of a few extra scents- u get my scent profile when u mentioned La capitale/ guidance I knew u we’re on my team! I got the tocca and it is lovely and I got the issue Ross fragrance it’s aquatic but such a unique scent love them. I ordered 4 of these had 2 so that leaves 2 that I am just ignoring for the sake of my coins! 😂
Without telling my age, I've been wearing L'eau D'Issey since 1992. I keep a bottle in my collection. I also agree with Another 13. It's a perfect scent. I found myself reaching for it almost everyday, for 2 weeks...SO good!
@junboo8730 Oh Dahlin, I'm not afraid of my age, it's just a turn of phrase. Aging is a blessing that isn't bestowed upon everyone. I'm still "young & spry" as my granny used to say. 🤣
I too have worn Issey Miyake for yeaaaars and am trying to find something else that I love as much that is a signature scent for me ( my sister started wearing Issey Miyake ... put me off ..) I remember the first time I smelt it over 20 years ago on a woman dressed immaculately in all white and I had to ask what she was wearing and raced to get some, wore it ever since, I do feel it has gotten sweeter and lost some of its unique version of aquatic-ness along the way too.@@MissTeaJay
Issey Miyake L' eau de Issey was my signature scent throughout my 20's so 2002-2010ish (I'm an old lady lol) I have since moved on.. BUT, every time I smell it I am instantly transported to a younger, simpler time in my life. It is a fragrance I will always treasure! Love your 10/10 picks.. Nowadays, this 40 something year old is a lover of big, bad powerful fragrances! Some of my 10/10's are: POAL by Frederick Malle, Bee by Zoologist, Invite Only by Kayali, Tacita De Cafe by Day Three Fragrances, Bianco Latte by Giardini Di Toscana, Click Song by Une Nuit Nomade, Midnight Jasmine by Pearlescent Parfums and Rouge Malachite by Armani...
Over the past few years, my scent preferences have matured and shifted towards the more bold, andro scents and thè noir is what really opened my mind to it. I still love me a gourmand sugary coconut but wearing bolder scents really does help me feel more confident and assertive. I love how perfume hacks our brains
This is what I love about you. You’re just as passionate about Tocca Florence as you were the first time I heard you talk about it. You mention it all the time. Here’s the funny part every time you do, I go upstairs and smell mine and go nope still not feeling it. But you convinced me to go check! Again! Another thing I like about you is that you are unapologetic about the stuff that you love! I don’t believe in things being old-fashioned or modern or young or old. do I love it? Does it make me feel good? Then I’m gonna wear it I guess I’ve got that confidence that comes with age lol .
WOW - Olivia you are a new and very original girl in the town (meaning in fragrance's blogger's world)! Your taste is really unique and combination of your outfit and make up are stunning.
What a fantastic list! And I appreciate the variety! It seems most people are only recommending vanilla scents lately so this was a refreshing change 💯
Olivia, I’ve watch this video few times now, and it still give me joy hearing you being so passionate and on point on these fragrances. Because of you I have 2 fragrances now on my favourite list. You are pure joy and I am happy I’ve discovered you❤️ greetings from Romania.
I love all your videos and have been going back watching them! I'd love to know more about how you developed your interest in fragrances and how newbies can develop detecting scent notes, terminology, what to look for when picking out scents for youself, etc. 😍
Another 13 is also 10/10 for me. I have 2 dupes (Oakcha and Alt) as well as a perfume oil so between those and the 100ml real thing, I'll be smelling sexy in my casket in another 50 years.
What do you think is the best dupe? Buying without smelling can be terrifying, a dupe at least will make me understand the scent before pulling the trigger
@@francescadelunas In my opinion, Alt is better than Oakcha *but* I do think Alt is actually stronger/louder and Le Labo is more subtle. Also shoutout to Generic Perfumes (middle eastern perfume/oil site) because their oil version of Another 13 is really good. I like to layer with the oil to make the scent last longer.
Amazing video and your passion for fragrance is TRULY intoxicating! Out of all I NEED to get my nose on the pistachio one as I love all those notes! Gonna be hard from New Zealand but I am determined!
I was sooo excited to see tocca florence.. one of my favorite scents I'm on my 3rd bottle and I bought the oil, hair fragrance and body wash last time I bought it... soooo nice
Blanche Bete is incredible, beautiful, cacooning fragrance that I would never have thought has white florals. I run from white florals, but Blanche is perfection.
Thank you, Olivia!Half of the fragrances you listed are new to me, I need to give some of them a try;) To me, the Noir 29 from Le Labo and Indigo Smoke from Arqiste have similar vibe. Both have the sweetened and rich black tea note, a pinch of smokiness combined and aromatic facets, perfect for autumn!
I can’t believe you are only 30 years old! You are so sophisticated and intelligent I would have guessed you were older, and I mean that in a good way. Thank you for the video.
I was super excited when i saw the title of your video. I was very curious about what your choices would be. I'm pretty sure I have just been influenced into a few new samples.
I just found your channel and literally watched every single short! lmfao your personality is IMMACULATE! I stopped watching fragrance channels because it was leaving my wallet empty but you reignited that spark again 😂
Omg!!!! I am fairly new to your channel!!! I am a fan!!! Some of your 10/10 are new to me. I am 56 and Issey Miyake will always smell fresh!!!! Guidance is definitely not for all, but I have a 5ml decant that I am cherishing until I can get my hands on a bottle. The only one on your list that I just think is overrated is Velaya. It is worth the money, it is beast mode, lasts forever! I love your passion and how you describe fragrances! Have a great day.
I would love a video about how to take care of a fragrance since I've never bought a very expensive one and wouldn't want that money to go wasted in the end. That would be super helpful!
Thank youuuu for giving us some rose fragrances that aren't the typical vintage rose smell or the cult ones like Delina. I recently realized I actually do love modern rose fragrances, but have been looking for less hyped ones. Do you have any dedicated videos on rose fragrances?
Omg hahahaha! When it came to your all time favorite... I was like nah, no way it is Le Labo Thé Noir 29 like me AND IT WAS!!! 🖤🖤 It's so good, I love matching my scents to my moods but that one is universal... basically a signature scent.
Love Le Labo, the maker and sphinx. Guidance just vanishes from my skin and doesn't ring a bell for me, and neither Delina, I loved the funny fact in there.
I heard about Another 13 from you and fell in love. If you like Valaya as well then I think you would love Blue Talisman- Ex Nihlo. It has Valaya notes with pear! So good- I just got a bottle and love it ❤
Yes, please do a declutter video :). I also would like your take on the various niche houses (like a series) if it's was something you would like to do. Love your unique recommendations and taste!❤
Girl Valaya is absolutely insane! I sprayed it while I was at my family’s home before Christmas dinner and no joke they could smell it lingering in my room 2-3 DAYS after I left (and I sprayed maybe 3-4 sprays which is def a lot for Valaya)
Thanks for mentioning lesser known brands. Neeb from Aromatix had a scent from Sphinx Colognes. I really want to try their Strawberry Kiss and their Horchata.
Hi Olivia, I've only discovered your videos reently. Your description of the noir! I could say exactly the same about it!!! ;) I Love it so much and can't be without it anymore :) Glad I found you!!! Looking forward to more videos!
I loved this video :-) your descriptions are really detailed and very evocative, super helpful! I adore Guidance and actually got an unsolicited comment on it today when paying for something in a shop, which the UK is very rare. I have a sample of Siren & Sailors, this one and Cheeky Smile were the standouts from the brand for me when I smelt them a few months ago.
Just got my Sphinx Pistachio this weekend. I said the same thing! This is everything that Kayali Yum is not. It is not juvenile at all, IMO. And DAMN, it is a beast! Just 2 sprays get me through a day. I love this house... Their Strawberry fragrance is also excellent.
Omg I just smelled thé noir recently and it became my top le labo perfume. I feel like I’ve smelled it before (maybe from a non-perfume thing) but I can’t pinpoint where. Kind of a deja vu but scent😂. The drydown is kinda similar to JM Poppy and Barley which I also love.
Omg I just got a tiny decant of this and I’m RUNNING to go try it. I love poppy and barley so much but the performance is so subpar. To me that’s the first scent that I’ve smelled that feels truly ‘me’, like what I should smell like all the time. 🤍
Oh my god, you're the only creator I've ever seen talking about L'Eau D'Issey, and I'm over the moon, but also wanna hate you a little bit about it😅 This has been my staple fragrance for each and every summer for the past almost 10 years, and I have such fond memories of my mother wearing it too (still does, occasionally). I have such a strong emotional connection to it and (even though it's older than me as well) for me it's still the best modern, fresh yet still interesting and nuanced fragrance I've smelled to date. Plus, I find not a lot of people wear it so it still feels special and unique. Though, that may change after your talking about it😂Very happy it gets its place in the sun though, it honestly deserves it and I always wondered how fragheads rarely bring it up on popular media.
New subscriber here! I love your videos. I mean....LOVE them!!! I've never understood the whole "influencer" thing until I watched your channel. I am a perfume FREAK, and you describe scents just as I imagine them. ❤
Olivia you are the one that got me into my exploration of the house of Sphinx. So THANK YOU 🎉 Which I agree is criminally underrated because it’s not really talked about. I got my hands on Damascena and it’s a beautiful rose fragrance that is a beast performer in the best ways 🥰 also picked up travel size of Heavenly Lilies which I think will be my next pick up it’s “DIVINE” I HOWEVER am nervous to explore the more Gourmands of the house 😬but you have me intrigued with the Crème de Pistache 👀 thinking of picking up travel size 😜
Some great choices in this video! I'll share with some of my personal 10 out 10 scents. Five sounds good. Amouage Imitation Man - A smell so intimidating that when I first bought it, I couldn't bring myself to wear it in public despite my absolute love for it. Firmly unisex in my opinion, in fact I'd say it even leans a bit more feminine. Leather and rose as a combo isn't anything new, but there's something else in here, a powdery iris and an X factor that just puts me in the mind of meeting someone way cooler than me. It's hard to explain, but I'm instantly in a better mood whenever I smell it. Dolce and Gabbana The One Luminous Night - I will never understand why designer houses will take the best thing they've ever made and then do their best to hide it, but that is precisely the case here. Put this on fragrance counters in Macy's and Nordstroms and you have a guaranteed hit, with the beautiful bottle, the amazing scent and the super cool name; but nope. This one is online only and you have to hope you get lucky with a restock. The unfortunate availability out of the way, this is a perfect fall scent. The use of dates in this one is inspired and when worn is almost certainly going to be the most talked about thing in the room. Imaginary Authors In Love With Everything - I understand that a ton from this house could fit the bill of a 10 out of 10 for different people, and I could even name a couple of others interchangeable with this one, but today we're giving the nod to the Summertime Juice Box on the way to the Pool fragrance. There is something so perfect about how this nails a very specific place in time for anyone who ever had to stay out in the sun all day in the summer that I'm surprised it's not talked about more. Guerlain L'omme Ideal Cologne - Getting this out of the way, I could probably name a dozen Guerlain scents that deserve a spot here. Anything from the EDP of L'omme Ideal or Guerlain Vetiver Extreme to pricey rare stuff like L'ame d'un Heros (Soul of a hero). But there's no rules to this list so I'm hitting you with two summer scents in a row, namely my all time favorite summer scent. Cologne and Cool are neck and neck, and while Cool has more wearability year round, Cologne comes alive in the heat. Lime isn't a listed note, but I get a bit of it in the open, mixed with a creamy almond and a musky, clean vetiver dry down. I fucking love it. Creed Aventus - A ton of people will instantly call me basic for this choice, but it is the most copied thing for a reason. This is just an all time, first ballot hall of fame scent. It's special. It's very possible that there will come a day when Aventus becomes a relic, sort of how CK One was once the scent of an entire generation and is now considered bland, not today. This was love at first sniff, and is a must have in my collection.
Olivia! I discovered you a few weeks ago and I love all of your videos! I am quickly becoming a perfume lover and especially love your videos on affordable perfumes as I tend to shop on a budget. I'm wondering if you could do a video about how to layer perfumes and which perfumes layer well together. Also wondering about maceration, whether it's even necessary and if you personally macerate any of your perfumes.
My 10/10 fragrance at the moment is "Fleur de peau" by Diptyque. Have you ever smelled it ? If you love Another 13, you'll probably love it too... Greetings from Paris :)
Agreed! I think it is a perfect 10/10 as well. I try to avoid wearing it too often simply so I don't get tired of it, but it hits all the criteria for me. I was blown away when I tried it and it just suits me.
Oh yes I’ve been through a few bottles of Thé Noir, it’s so damn good!!! I just ran out and need a fill ✨ will check out some of the others you mentioned .
I so agree on another 13 and la capital! For me, I would add the beautiful but discontinued Tom ford noir pour femme, atelier des ors rouge saray, and Amouage portrayal woman. I also think bdk gris charnel is magical.
I am obsessed with your eye look! ❤ im pretty basic, my favs are Phlur Missing Person, JC Oui, and my newest one that i love is Cartier Panthre edp (i have no idea if i spelled that right) , also love Bulgari Omnia
OK this is a little freaky, I'm watching this and literally seconds before you mention Smoke N Roses I sprayed it on my arm to test it out😮 I received my discovery set yesterday and tried 2 and today tested the other 2, and yes Smoke N Roses is gorgeous, will be getting a bottle for sure, love Tezza's Tea Party as well.
I loved this so much, I just ordered a sample of roses and zimmer and I want to go to the le labo store TONIGHT. To smell another 13. I bought the dossier version of santal 33 and I bought the nouf you recommended. My partner is wondering how im finding all these cool new fragrances, lol

You eyeshadow is beautiful!

The eye look is giving peacock and that in and of itself is a 10/10 🦚 Sirens & Sailors is so good for fall!!
Ok so this vid is excellent and I now am the proud owner of a few extra scents- u get my scent profile when u mentioned La capitale/ guidance I knew u we’re on my team! I have the issey mikaye perfume too. its boring to me. Safe n clean n boring. 😮
The older the wiser they say. You shouldn’t be afraid of your age.
@junboo8730 Oh Dahlin, I'm not afraid of my age, it's just a turn of phrase. Aging is a blessing that isn't bestowed upon everyone. I'm still "young & spry" as my granny used to say. 🤣

Hi Olivia I'd love to see you do a declutter video with your reasons why - I would find it really interesting and helpful 😁
Over the past few years, my scent preferences have matured and shifted towards the more bold, andro scents and thè noir is what really opened my mind to it. I still love me a gourmand sugary coconut but wearing bolder scents really does help me feel more confident and assertive. I love how perfume hacks our brains

L’Eau D’issey is a masterpiece aquatic airy. I have loved it since it came out.
For a fresh floral oceanic smell try Kenzo L'Eau Pour Femme, it lasts for weeks . Also Kenzo Parfum D'Ete or Summer.
Great vid. Added most of these to my try list 😊 just getting in to niche fragrances and you describe them so well.
Aaaaaw: ELECTRIC WOOD!
My best friend wears this, because I showed it to him and now he is in love ❤
Another great video.❤I really have to stay off of these channels. My husband is going to put me and my collection out😂😂😂

Please do a review of Victoria Beckham fragrances!!!
New subscriber here! I love your videos. I mean....LOVE them!!! I've never understood the whole "influencer" thing until I watched your channel. I am a perfume FREAK, and you describe scents just as I imagine them. ❤
Obsessed with your makeup in this video 🔥💚
Olivia you are the one that got me into my exploration of the house of Sphinx. So THANK YOU 🎉 Which I agree is criminally underrated because it’s not really talked about. I got my hands on Damascena and it’s a beautiful rose fragrance that is a beast performer in the best ways 🥰 also picked up travel size of Heavenly Lilies which I think will be my next pick up it’s “DIVINE”
I HOWEVER am nervous to explore the more Gourmands of the house 😬but you have me intrigued with the Crème de Pistache 👀 thinking of picking up travel size 😜
Wow! Thanks for the recommendations.
Olivia I actually bought Another 13 on your recommendation as I am a newbie but omg this is amazing❤❤❤❤ I am fan of your work. Love from India🇮🇳🇮🇳
Love, love, love Espiritu and Blanche Bete! Both in my top 10. Great video! Love how you are able to describe the scents/notes. ❤❤
Olivia! I discovered you a few weeks ago and I love all of your videos! I am quickly becoming a perfume lover and especially love your videos on affordable perfumes as I tend to shop on a budget. I'm wondering if you could do a video about how to layer perfumes and which perfumes layer well together. Also wondering about maceration, whether it's even necessary and if you personally macerate any of your perfumes.
i ordered a sample of thé noir from scent split
and MANN is it captivating 🥵
My 10/10 fragrance at the moment is "Fleur de peau" by Diptyque. Have you ever smelled it ? If you love Another 13, you'll probably love it too... Greetings from Paris :)
Agreed! I think it is a perfect 10/10 as well. I try to avoid wearing it too often simply so I don't get tired of it, but it hits all the criteria for me. I was blown away when I tried it and it just suits me.
i love my le labo another 13 and the noir 29 ❤
