the attention to detail you take when building a kit is admirable …..I tell you love this hobby. don't worry about all those trying to get you down....seem a little jealous if you ask me. you're doing an awesome job jim.

Thank you. I just try to get as accurate as possible, even when I'm at work. As for my love of the hobby, I've been building models for 48 years now. It is a hobby I never really walked away from through the years. Thanks for watching.

Thank you. Been talking about the paint colors that Round2 calls for being so far off since the kit was released. Worked with Jamie Hood from Round2 on getting the assembly instructions redone as there were many issues, now I will go over the paints so they can correct those for future kits. Others aren't painting their's like the studio model so they don't bring these issues up to the community like I have. As soon as I saw the paint colors when mixed that they weren't going to give you the colors depicted on the paint guide I new there were going to be issues. I'm not sharing the mix ratios or what I added to get the proper greens, as in the beginning a lot of people told me I didn't know what I was talking about. I've been modeling for 48 solid years and I know enough to see a problem when it is clearly evident. We try to share these things with the community so others will not have issues, but when they put you down the hell with them. Half of the negative remarks were by people who don't even build models.
If you are building this and want to find out what I mixed to get the correct greens, feel free to contact me by email which I put in the description on each of my videos and I will gladly help you out. I just won't share the info on TH-cam.

Great video Jim, I think you made everything clear buddy. I don’t know if I could build anything like that, but it’s cool.k.u.t.g.w.

Thanks buddy. Just takes a lot of patience. My big Enterprise Refit took me close to a year to complete, but the time and work involved was well worth it. Even though I only do a couple model cars a year, I definitely enjoy building them once in a while and checking out yours and a few others. I did build the ZZ Top Eliminator and the Steve Kinser Bass Pro Shops sprint car last year and did dioramas for both. Thanks again and your work is really awesome too.

Thanks buddy. A lot of masking but it will be worth it when done. This is my first time using all acrylics as I,m still old school. Liking them and also found that they work great with using alcohol for thing and much cheaper than Tamiya thinner. 16 ounces for less than 2 dollars.

Thanks buddy. Lots more masking to go. Send more tape! This is my first time using acrylics. Nice to work with and easy cleanup.

    Looks great.
I painted mine with spray-bombs in colors that I felt looked close enough and ultimately, I don’t care if it’s 100% accurate.
    It looks good to me.
I DO wish that I had painted the interior of mine white but... live and learn.
Anyway, again, great job and your paint looks clean and the paint choices are perfect.

Thanks. It's up to each person how he or she paints something. It doesn't have to be accurate and there are no rules in this hobby how you do something. I'm just going for the studio model as this will be sitting next to my big Enterprise Refit l.
As for lighting, I didn't paint the inside of mine as I did my own lighting and circuit board. I added a lot more leds as the lighting kit was inadequate especially in the head. There wasn't enough lights getting to all areas. If you watch the movies the Klingon ships were usually not as brightly lit as the federation ships anyway therefore I didn't paint the inside. Would like to see yours no matter how you painted it and I'm sure it looks terrific.
