I did view and appreciate your other informative videos pertaining to proper tree trimming/training. Here in the Western North Carolina mountains, we are blessed with an abundance of trees and ornamental greenery. Trimming is often necessary as a result of a rapid growth rate due to the ample rainfall and temperate climate. Sadly, local tree trimming companies routinely "butcher" the beautiful, healthy specimens of homeowners- including two of my widowed neighbor's well established trees last week. I wish they were educated as well. Keep up the good work.

Nice video. Clear and simple presentation of essential information. Thanks! My only criticism is the music, which is unnecessary and a distraction. Especially since the music volume is as loud or louder than the voice track! Please, your viewers are not here for the music!

If you watch any of my newer videos, you will not hear music. I was learning and I agree.

20-some years ago I was given an antique pole pruner that does what this does. The head is thinner for a good cut, higher up in the tree. It's not a Marvin, I don't know the brand. But it makes a better cut than Corona does. At least in this application. And I love corona tools!
Good, practical video. (Have been through the spring problem too.)

Thank you for the informative video. At last, my pole pruner has been sharpened and adjusted (properly, that is) and is cutting as good as new. What a difference your instructional video has made. I really appreciate it. Weeks of major spring pruning outdoors can be a pleasure, once again, instead of a source of increasing frustration.

I don't need the background music, being so loud. Otherwise, good tips on a very useful tool.

how do you secure the rope to the pole after use other than wrapping it around the pole a bunch of times?

At the cutting end or the base? We leave the base end free but at the top a loop eye.

Thank you for this information. I need to replace the spring on my vintage pruner like the one shown on your video. Any suggestions on where to purchase it? Thank you.

Hello! I have this exact product and I'm trying to repair it. Idk how small the spring has to be so I just grabbed the smallest one I found. However, the problem is the rope. I dont know how to work the pulley with the rope in order for it to cut. Plz help

Why would someone give me a thumbs down for this? If you already know this stuff, then you are ahead of the game

arboristBlairGlenn Probably someone who doesn't even know how to use a pruner for climbing and rigging. They probably can't do anything without spurs on. Maybe I'm just old fashion but I don't know how these guys climb without one these days? When I was taught i was told that my pruner my right arm. Great video my friend
