Truly the definition of March Madness. Complete bracket buster, and an amazing game. It had ever fan in the edge of their seats begging for either the bracket to survive, or the Cinderella story to emerge. March Madness at its finest right here
I thought SFA (14 seed) was going to be the Cinderella story when they took West Virginia (3 seed) to the woodshed. I picked SFA over West Virginia as my upset pick.
Im just more surprised MSU never led.
Same here. I'm also surprised at the margin of victory. The Blue Raiders took Sparty to the woodshed.

Middle TN State was balling sooooooo hard. Congrats to them even thou they busted my bracket bad. I had KU playing MSU in the Champ game.

Glad to finally see the highlights....kept missing them at the top of the hour on TV. But what's weird is that on the radio and hearing analysts on TV talking about the game, they all said that Middle TN "dominated" MSU in all aspects of the game. I thought they won by 20! This was a close game!

Hats off to MTSU. They played lights out beginning to end. Any time MSU got close, they wouldn't miss. Both teams shot 11 3's. Both teams shot near 60 percent. Sad my Spartans lost, but we lost to a team that would have given anybody a run the way they played.
Hype was big in the Metro Detroit area for Michigan State to win it all. Detroit sports commentators where livid about Michigan State not being #1 in any of the regions and since they were best at odds of winning the whole tournament and were most dominant in league play (equivalent with Kansas); everybody was praising that this was Izzo's best team since 2000 (last National Championship) and that they would at the very least make the elite eight. You could've bet any casino in town odds of probably up to 1000:1 on this game. Overzealous confidence can surely get in the way and it really showed up here. I think everybody was looking at this like it was Alabama Crimson Tide football versus Imlay City (MI) high school football (yeah, that bad) where all you had to do was show up. Unlike football, basketball features many teams that are actually very close in competition regardless of the university brand or even division they are in. You won't see anymore underestimation in this tournament, I assure you that.
Why do teams, when let's say they're down by 5 or 7 or whatever with only a few seconds to go, not start taking all 3's? It's just mind boggling.
Because then you miss and lose by even more

alot of respect for Izzo..but I was happy MSU got upset..my team has been on way too many upset by mid major highlight reels, it felt good to see another powerhouse team fall victim to it this time LOL

+Bull Falls Nope. Norfolk State defeating Missouri in 2012 was more of an upset than this one. Norfolk State was the weakest 15 seed in tournament history and would have been a 16 seed if the tourney didn't expand to 68 teams. Missouri was the #3 team in the country that year too.
Don't get me wrong. The Blue Raiders pulled a huge upset, but they were grossly underseeded as a 15. The Blue Raiders should have been a 12 seed or 13 seed.
